A low price on this popular SSD that's an excellent choice if you're in the market for a 2.5" SATA SSD. This one is a good peformer as it uses TLC flash memory with DRAM cache.

    Great SSD

looking at the history of this product on ozbargain and camel, seems like 120$ is becoming the regular sale price that comes every month or two.
Might get this for my old dell latitude later on.

  • have the 4tb version of this with bitlocker for my "secret" files, barely any performance drop on random 4k r/w.

    ;)

  • Would this be okay for a PS4? My old hdd died the other day

    • +1

Yes works great on a PS4

    • Standard PS4 does not take full advantage of SSDs so a 7200 RPM hard drive would be better.

PS4 pro you'll notice a bit more of improvement but nothing extraordinary

      • Thanks, any cheap recommendations?

    • I fitted this SSD into my PS4 Pro last week (got for $104 after Amex Amazon Cashback).

  • Wouldn't it be better to buy a faster m.2 nvme SSD for about the same price and if you don't have a m.2 slot use a cheap caddy adapter thingy ma Bob. I'm just saying.

    • You were doing OK until you got to "and if you don't have a m.2 slot use a cheap caddy" and became crap.

      • What's actually wrong with cheap PCIE adapters for M.2 NVMEs? from what I have seen they work fine.

        • I'm pretty sure some old office PCs like the optiplex can't boot from pcie adaptors so sata can be useful in that situation

      • Cheap caddies work just fine. You can buy them from AliExpress for $20. Shouldn't comment on what you don't know about. Look a bit silly.

  • I was looking at no-name ssd brands on aliepress, but crucial was only 20% more expensive. Crucial now has be as a customer.

Is that just me or SSD’s price has been stagnant for a long time now?

  • +2

    2tb for $150? anywhere?

    • +1

That's what I'd like too! Prefer to upgrade my 1tb than add a second drive

  • Bought one. 1TB is plenty good for now.

  • Shipping to 4301 is $9.95

Thank you for going the extra mile.
