    ooooff. that's nice price.
I bought the same one for my PS5 a month ago for a bit more.

P.S. works well in the PS5 with a separate heatsink like https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07TX6SQZX

Why the downvote. I have the same one and same heatsink in my PS5 as well

      • +1

No idea, I thought it was helpful to recommend a heatsink.

Missed opportunity of pricing it at $420.69

    Blaze it

  • This or Firecuda 530?

    • +1

If price doesnt matter the 530 is quicker at write speed by 2 GB/s out of the two after a quick google. Depends if you want to pay the extra 100-200

  • Does this need heatsink if used in a PC mid tower case?

    • +1

      Nope.

  • Does anyone have any idea how to clone your old nvme to a new one if you buy this? I have an old 100gb nvme in my laptop with window and programs installed in it.

    • -2

Don't even consider it, windows will bend you over

Much better to reinstall programs and save yourself 3 hours

      • +2

What are you talking about? I’ve never had windows give me aproblem using a hdd cloning/ghosting program. It’s simple and easy

        • +1

WRONG. I work for mr gates. Bill, that is. And everytime I reinstall windows on his pcs he gives me a little kiss and remind sme not to clone hard drices

    • +1

You can use a hard drive cloning program, I use Macrium Reflect. Clone it to flash drive/external drive. Set the clone up as a bootable iso, and it will copy to your new drive from your bios’s boot loader.

      I

    • you can use something like EaseUS ToDo Backup Free.
      That's how I upgraded my old 512 to a 1TB.
Windows shouldn't complain too much about just disk change.
Have you windows key handy just in case you need to validate again or I think you can connect your windows licence to your MS account to make it easier.

    • Download Veeam Agent for free. Make a full bare metal backup, send it to USB, and make the bootable ISO it recommends. Load up the bootable ISO and restore your backup to your new drive. It should take care of any driver installs along the way.

    • Samsung has one called samsung ssd migration or something

  • Samsung even provides free cloning software. I guess it will only work with its own brand of SSD.

Samsung Data Migration software is designed to help users quickly, easily, and safely migrate all of their data – including their current operating system, application software, and user data – from their existing storage device (e.g. HDD) to their new Samsung SSD.

    • Samsung Data Migration was great. My 970 Pro has two disks, cloned both to 980 Pro without any issues and everything works like before.

Holding for sub. $300 before end of year.

My Ps5 ssd is full and I’m not bothering for 1tb.

    It has begun

    • Backup/move your ps5 game to external hdd, faster than redownloading the game you delete. Also ps4 games can run on external hdd/ssd.

  • Is the 1TB on sale too? If so, what price does it say for you guys?
