perfect for connecting mining rigs at work, just dont get caught with the power draw ;)

    • Does the latency by 4G internet affect share ratio?

      • i actually dont know

        • My recent experience changing my rig from wifi to ethernet saw in a good reduction in stale shares, I imagine 4G might see worse but if you're getting free power than it's a good compromise.

At these prices vs boost mobile… Any benefits going with boost??

    • +10

Boost has unlimited international texts and calls though (for specific zones)

    • +1

Boost is currently 280gb for $220ish i think with the bonus data

How do you keep your number? I'd be coming from boost prepaid.

    • +1

      It will ask you.

    • Based on what I've read previously you'd still want to port out and then back in if currently with boost.

      • +1

No. I had one boost no. activated to Telstra and got bonus data. No need to port out. Unless they have changed in last 45 days or so.

Maybe it was the other way round that was an issue? Or from Telstra plan to boost (prepaid). Not sure.

          • @Maestrok: Yeah,…..all get's a bit tricky porting between various Telstra providers.

I'll find out in a few weeks when porting from Aldi to Boost lol.

  • Ah I’m looking for a recharge offer on this, my current one expires this month.

    • +2

Just port out to a free prepaid sim and then port back in ;)

OOS while trying to pay :-(

    Thanks OP anyhow

    • That's bad luck, was less than an hour at this lowest price ever I think ( or close ).

  • OOS now, 0 available

  • With Telstra prepaid, is international roaming allowed ?

  • +1

    OOS

    I got this one instead

    boost

Boost has unlimited international texts and calls (for specific zones)

Used shop back gift card 3%

    • How's Boost vs Telstra from network / speed perspective?

    • When Boost says 300GB on first recharge and 240GB on second,

do they mean this sim pack is the first or in 12 months time if you get a 12 month recharge?

    • same . paid around the $220 mark. Been with boost a yr now and very happy with the service. The telstra sim is 4g too so boost gets me double the data for a few bucks more.

  • Damn just missed out on this, how often does this telstra prepaid pack deal become available?

    • About once a year…

      • and pretty sure this was the chaepest ever.

  • +1

Just missed this last night, was hoping they’d find some more in the 8 hours to now lol

  • Does it count as a new customer porting from boost to Telstra? For future reference, of course.

    • Would hope but if anyone can confirm..

    • yes

  • Does Telstra prepaid have voice over wifi and VoLTE?

    • Yes it does. In my experience though sometimes you need to get in touch with them to "activate" it on their end.. which is a task in itself unfortunately.

      • Ahh cool. I have an Xiaomi phone but it's working on circles (Optus). I think Telstra prepaid is the only prepaid that has it.
