Well known USB chargers brand. Now makes garbage bins too, to throw away the chargers. Whole ecosystem.

    • It's like the lion king - the circle of life

      • Should make facial masks the next around.

          Could try the plastic bag?

Disclaimer: Do NOT try the plastic bag as mask.

          • @Lord Fart Bucket: lol @ your realisation, half-way through typing, that some people may actually be stupid enough to try it.

Can't assume common sense at all these days.

$17.74 after tax and shipping and no bags.

OP is for a 2 pack of bins, coming to $27.95 for me

    • +1

Thats one for $2.5 plus $12.64 for shipping… Compare to 2 of those plus 100 bags?

    • What about the garbage bags?

  • Highly recommend, I have essentially the same bin from a different listing. Colours are just slightly different. I got mine at the end of July.
Mine is holding up strong, the plastic cleans easily and has remained odourless.
The only catch, which was obviously going to occur, the weight over time has caused the door to sightly drop that I hook this onto. I just adjusted the screws the other day to correct.

  • Was wondering why you'd ever need to collapse a bin but realised you probably mean the American version "storage bin"?

I might be in the minority here, but when my rubbish bin is full I put a new bag in it and don't just collapse it.

    • You collapse it when you don't have rubbish in it? It is a temporary bin when you preparing your food I guess?

      • Confusing. I'd just use it as a foldable storage tub rather than an actual bin.

    • +1

Yeah I am not 100% sure what I am looking at here? I looked at the pics but didn't get an answer…It seems to be a standard bin that you can attach to things? Have I missed something?

      • I use mine for green waste, scrape straight off the chopping board into the bin.

  • Looks pretty good, but it doesnt have a lid yes?

  • +3

No biodegradable bags? So… food scraps end up in landfill?

    • +1

      This stopped me also.

    • +2

I usually get one of my old yoghurt containers and put the food scraps in there. You can then put the lid on until you are ready to take it outside to the compost bin. If you get a large enough container they, often, have a handle and they are thick enough to put in the dishwasher to clean them.

  • How on earth did this get 20+ Updoots

  • So those green biodegradable bags from council won't fit?
If it's only used during food preparation, I might dump the content into a compost bin, just wonder how practical it is to take the bin off and hock it up again regularly.

    • I have the same question (how easy to take it off) as I don't plan to leave it as is between uses. I guess we will know when we receive the package. If it is too difficult to take off, I guess it will be ended up in my I-Bought-It-Because-It-Has-A-Lot-Upvotes-On-OzBargain stash …

      • The council bags don't fit the spare roll holder but the actual bags fit the bin. The front of the bag has a plastic clip that holds it in place. The back of the bag for between the door and the bin. This holds the bags in position really well. But yes super easy to take off

    • The bins aren’t that big, and the supplies bags are very large for the bin itself.

It just hooks on so you can easily just take it on and off, unless you want to keep the hook there, might be more effort.

What is the problem that this product solves?

    I don't get it.

    • Sliding food waste off the counter and directly into the bin.

  • +1

Doesn't look like the bags are biodegradable. Not ideal.

  • No lids. The whole room is going to smell like green waste
