25% off Sale and Full Priced Items for Military + First Responders + Healthcare Workers in-Store @ Lululemon

250

Reposting as it's been longer than 6 months.

For those not aware, if you are:

Military - either active, reserve or a veteran and have a veterans card
Emergency Services - police, fire, ambulance, possibly SES if you have a form of identification
Health Care Worker - doctor, nurse, acute care, dentist, support worker etc

You are entitled to a 25% discount off both sale and full price items in store @ Lululemon. Not available online unfortunately but given it stacks with discounts in store you can generally get some stuff over half price in their sales. You will need to provide a form of identification to receive the discount.

Happy Dealing!

Me: Can I get 25% off? I am a healthcare worker.

Lululemon Rep: Where did you see that?

    Me: Ozbargain….

    • As long as you have a form of identification they will apply the discount. I've never had any push back.

Ok, good to know. I am not saying you pulling a prank, just feel a bit funny going into a business asking for a discount when I can't find any official word from the business themselves. :)

Here is my last receipt, unfortunately it doesn't show any sort of discount, just the prices but for those who know, ain't nowhere you are getting 5 items of Lululemon for those prices haha without 25% off minimum…

E.G Dryense Short Sleeve from $79 down to $59.25. The red colour is on sale for $54, so if you can find it in store you will only pay $40.50.

Since when has Australia had "First Responders"? Emrgency Services more like it.

Not strictly accurate according to their webchat bot.

"At this time we do not have a health care discount in Australia/New Zealand. If you are in the following professions you may be eligible for one of our other offerings:

First Responder: Fire, Police, EMT/Paramedic, Correctional Officers, Coast Guard, Search & Rescue, Doctors and Nurses.

Research and Development discount: • Yoga Instructors, Pilates Instructors, Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Trainers, Dance Instructors, Professional Run Club leaders, Professional athletes, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths"

    • I have shopped in at least three stores in different states and have never been refused the discount.

It isn't advertised online but trust me, it exists and isn't that the whole point of OzBargain to share discounts that aren't always advertised?

      • I can also confirm that the discount does exist. Only disputing that the OPs description of those eligible may not be 100% accurate.

        • Well FWIW I am military and don't appear on the list above you wrote.

          • @Pelicannn: You qualify. Active members of military

            • @Snape: I know, I am the OP haha, I was referring to the list Longtimelistener wrote which didn't include Military.

      I'm an Interpretive Dance Instructor.

Am I eligible? I can prove it in store if need be.

      • Worth a shot!

      • Visit a Lululemon store and speak with the manager. Some staff may be unaware of it but I can tell you first hand that as long as you can provide some sort of documentation you should be fine. I am not sure for dance instructors but for professional athletes the item should be for personal use ie if you are a guy and looking to avail the discount you can’t get women’s underwear or something like that.

    What about teachers?

Stuff the military, they get all sorts of per diems and subsidies.

    • Out of luck I suspect. Education I'm sad to say is not as highly valued as defence/military - particularly in North American markets where I suspect this promotional deal was originally concocted

  • Fitness instructor, own private business but co-combined with nutrition business…..no payslips or timesheets/rosters….how do you apply?

    • I know yoga teachers that get the discount - I suspect proof of occupation is loose and dependent on the store/staff member

    • Sometimes it depends on the store manager but if don’t have payslips maybe any tax related documentation ie invoices or if your company has an online page and theres a list of staff where your name is listed that shows you are indeed a fitness instructor.

  • Their pants are crazy comfy, BUT they have a pocket on the butt and there’s a zip on it - which I find very annoying

  • Surf lifesavers? Volunteer first responders.

    • Maybe, I am unsure. You will have to confirm in store.

Chiropractors getting a discount for being 'healthcare workers' is like giving magicians a discount for being able to pull rabbits out of their hats.

  • No Psychologists on the healtcare worker list?

    Booooo

    • Go in store and ask. They are pretty flexible.

      • Unfortunately couldn’t today. Was told it’s not on the list unfortunately.

  • Does anyone know if this applies to outlet items too?

    • same question..

      • Hello, sorry for the late response. It’s worked for items on sale before for me. Unsure on outlet.

  • I redeemed this discount at Lululemon at Chadstone VIC and the sales rep was so lovely about it.
She took down my details to create a customer profile, which included where I worked. She said I just need to bring regular ID to show in store next time, and to renew my work ID/AHPRA ID yearly :)

  • Tried in Emporium Store, and employee said only Nurses or Doctors.

    • What category do you think you should fall into?

I am neither Nurse or Doc and have no issues getting it.

      • I'm not too sure (clinical research coordinator), no ahpra or registration

        • I’m not sure, that to me sounds more like an administration job rather than Doctor or Nurse?

  • can my wife who is nurse buy items for me?

    • I’ve never bought women’s clothing but my guess is it would depend who is serving your wife.

      • we tried one store in the city and they said no but was wondering if anyone has experienced differently

        • +1

I asked the staff at Sunshine coast plaza store, they said it is for your own purchase only.

I came with my wife and purchase for her, so no.
