    10th gen. Not 11th.

    • Sorry, copy paste mistake

they sold 11th gen 11400 for same price late last year.

    • YEP…. this is trash… 12th gen is so much faster

  • +1

    12400 is only $299.

    • +3

      It's a wasted 80 dollars if a 10400 does the job.

      • +3

Plus mobos for 10th gen are cheaper than 12th gen

      • Yes true, only thing to keep in mind is that upgrade path is also limited to only the CPU's in 10th/11th gen. other than that, i agree with you.

      • +1

in that case 12100F might be better buy at $179, easily outperforms 10400 in games (assuming you don't need the onboard graphics), motherboard would be more expensive but at least you have a more of an upgrade path.

      • Those $80 will buy you much better performance in this case. Even an i3 12100 performs better. Not to mention that the 12th gen Intel CPU use less power and get by with smaller coolers.

      • well your almost getting 5600X performance in games for $80… its well worth it seeing how $80 extra for GPU doesn't get you any more FPS

    • Cool how much are the rest of the parts?

  • Any decent priced mobos for it?

  • Often slower than the new i3 12100, if YouTube is to be believed.

Eh… there have been repeated deals for 11400 around $219-$229 recently, and also 11th gen boards tend to disable the first M2 slot with a 10th gen CPU.

    • +1

I wouldnt neg for this. But this was my reasoning for picking 11400 over 10400. M.2 slot enabled and cheap Z590 boards for 10th/11th series.
Similar performance (10400 vs 11400) although extra M.2 for the same price.

If you want to go for 12th gen intel, you may be paying a premium even on the cheaper boards (H670/B660).
The H610 chip boards shouldnt exist … to make something that cut down is a waste of time and resources (much like the 11900k).
