Can I use dine and discover?

    • +1

Has worked in the past… hope so.

    • yep

    • But it's a $25 voucher.

      • Pay the rest with cash.

      • Two people claiming a voucher at the same time (2*$25=$50 =>double value ==$100)

When the deal was +$20 with $50 Top up, did this with my and my dad's vouchers at the same time and had a total of $70 credit

        • Can this be done without visit store?

        • I was just in there. They wouldn’t do 2 vouchers only 1 per transaction

  • +6

Can top up on the app now, no need to go in store :)

    Last time I didn't have a card .
I'm not sure why the app doesn't provide one .
So before the start I'll try get one from a venue If I'm near one .
    `% ing pain in the a$$ !

Top tip. Costco does vouchers at ~20% off for Timezone. So you can get a $50 card for $39.50 (from memory) then get double dollars. I have done that before, just rock up to Costco, get the vouchers then hit Timezone.

So normally your $50 would get $70 in credit, with this hack you can get $100 of credit for $39.50.

Then, if you REALLY want to double down, hit King Pin to load. They have a big “wheel” you can spin when you load up $200 on your card. The last time we got a free game for two of bowing on top of the massive discounts. Win win…

      ..win

    • Your Kingpin is $200? Crown is $100.

      Nice tip!

    • +1

So would you need to only pay $100 to spin during double dollars? Or do you mean you need to pay $200 (and put 400 into ur card) to get the spin?

    • +1

Great tip but with the risk of catching covid don't think i will go

Saw on Zone Bowling Facebook page that $35 load will also be doubled to $70. Good if you don't need to much credit and don't have access to Costco but tbh you can never have enough credit

    • My kids would burn all $70 in one go, never enough for them.

I'd be interested to know if they adjust the odds of machines (claw machines, other prize winning ones) to reflect the reduced value of a dollar (from Timezone's perspective)

    • +3

Doubt they do. Those prizes would be returning cents in the dollar back to the player so it'd be profitable regardless. My kid just plays twice as much.

    • yeah nah

    • I found that the max tickets winnable on the “piano” game has reduced from ~80 to ~60.. I know this as I have a very good success rate of maxing out this game each time, and is my go to for accumulating tickets

      • That change would be reflective of you and others playing it so much and winning the highest ticket value with ease.

    • No, that is too much effort in doing that to all machines, and for such a broad scope of how many people will get double dollars and when they actually will use it.

  • I spend too much money at Timezone i need to tie my hands behind my back now.

  • Can we load the dollar and use it anytime later?

    • Yeah wonder if any expiry. Hot day solution with the kids… :)

        From their website:
Game credit and Powertickets will expire if the card is inactive for 12 months from the date of last use.

        • Thanks so we just need to play once a year at least. :)

          • @Bargain-er: Pretty much! I only top up once a year during these deals and they've not expired.

        • I don't know how strictly enforced this is. They let me reinstate my credit from 2016 albeit onto a new card and after much discussion (since they had already recycled that card number).

  • So simple get a card from TZ ( edit I can do this on the day dumb me ) . Get gift card from Costco load on the day at a TZ and use it at least once within a year period .

  • In VIC, because they banned singing and dancing, DDR is considered dancing. So DDR is banned lol!

    • wait really??

      • That's what TZ Eastland said to me. The game got a "Temporarily Unavailable" status

    • Same in NSW. I was looking forward to trying out the newer versions to relive my younger days up to Extreme.

  • Is it possible to use the loaded credit to pay for 60min unlimited play?

    • No.

  • Is there any way to get a powercard without going in store?

    • You need the physical to reload because there is a cvv code at the back and they ask that code to reload in app, I just did that online and didn’t have to go to store.

  • When you reach gold tier, do you get the bonus $25 game credits too? Or is it only once you get to 500, 750 etc?

The free daily game also says it's only valid for the venue you topped up in, what if you top up on the app?

    • +1

Has anyone ever got any of the extra offers for higher tiers?

      -Tier exclusive offers
      -Invitation to exclusive events
      -Redemption discount offers
      -Partner offers

      ?

      • Other than the extra free games, nope. But I ask assume those partner offers are just fancy speak for advertising kinda like when you order a Dominos pizza online.

  • Just came from Timezone. They will only take 1 voucher per order, but you get double for $25. So $25 voucher is a $50 card

    • My local TZ didn’t have any issues with me claiming multiple in one transaction onto one card.
