      good deal!

  • +1

    Well done.

    • +2

      Excellent sarcasm

  • +3

Haven’t been following too closely but just comparing to the prices I paid over a year ago, seems like an excellent deal!

  • +5

thanks bought 1, been waiting for this

    • +1

      Thanks!

  • Is it worth the upgrade from a 2060 supper for 1440p gaming?

  • Wish there was an AMD option :(

  • +1

need to get rid of the 3070ti stock before the new 16gb 3070ti comes out

    • Does this make any difference if just for casual gaming at 1080p?

      • +2

        u dont even need a 3070ti for 1080p

        • I use a RX 6800 XT for 1080p for 240hz gaming

      • It would make a difference but I doubt it would be a material difference, would be more for 1440p.

        • +3

Good, when eyes are getting old, cant tell much difference between 1080p and 1440p haha

  • +3

Hi Luke, I ordered in the boxing day sales for the 3080 setup in the early mid Jan batch but some mid to late Jan orders have been delivered and mine hasn't even begun build. Could you chase it up? I paid for the msi gungir 111r case upgrade today since the msi forge was out of stock.

    • +7

You'll be getting the email today but will PM you

    • +1

That i7-12700 + 3080 build was a good deal. Wish similar deals would return soon this year.

      • +1

Sorry, I've made a mistake. That build I mentioned was from BPCTech, not TechFast.

  • +3

any AMD variants available or just intel for this 3070 ti build?

    thanks

  • +2

Damnnn, was waiting for this, same question as above, any AMD variants possible?

  • do i need a 3070 , currently have a 5600xt

    • You don't need it, definitely a warranted want though haha.

      • haha

        • +1

          Clearly you need a 3080Ti

          • +1

@ATangk: I think the 3090Ti would provide a nice bump to your gaming experience.

            • +1

              @[Deactivated]: But why male models?

              • @ATangk: The price of iron has been rising again lately.

              • @ATangk: What is this?! A centre for ANTS!?

  • +7

It's crazy you can build a PC without a GPU for basically $500 😂

  • Got any good deals for under 1.7k? Ryzen preferred :)

  • thinking of getting one but amd variant would put me over the line for sure

  • I have a 11400 / 3060ti GB Aorus Elite.
If I get this deal, switch out the 3070 ti into my system and add the 3060 ti into this system, could I sell it for about the same price on fb marketplace etc?
Are the power cables the same so I wouldn't have to take power cable out too with the GPU?

    • Seems unlikely when the rest of the parts retail for $700 and a new 3060 ti for $1200.

Unless your 3060 ti is FHR. Although if it is, just sell it and buy a 3070 ti, save a lot of headaches. If you just want the card though, I'd wait. 3070 ti 16GB is still rumoured to be coming soon, if it's like the 3080 12GB the release stock will be closer to RRP.

Power cables will be fine, GPU doesn't come with power cables, they come from the PSU.

      • Thank you :)

  • +10

A few questions on Ryzen so answered here - it's doable, but a) will have higher cost and b) stock not arranged yet. If there's plenty of interest I'll run it up the chain.

  • Hey Luke, was just curious to know anymore upcoming individual gpus going to be on the market soon referring to the rtx 3060ti/3070/3070ti

    • +2

Almost certainly no on those 3

      • Hi Luke, any chance of a prebuilt for a 3060ti or 3070 anytime soon if that's the case?

        • Ditto, it's more on availability overall rather than PC versus single card

  • -6

Why do I want to mine? It is because I want to cover the way overpriced GPU. Lol

  • I just ordered one but after clicking purchase screen went white. Card charged. Can I get confirmation you got my order.

    • PMd you

  • No Intel i9?

  • nice deal right? how can anyone build this themselves with these components for cheaper?

  • My 2020 black friday techfast build is still going strong - cheers Luke!

  • Hi Luke, thanks for the great deal. Just wondering will you guys offer a deal for 3080/ 3080ti pre built anytime soon? Really keen to get a 3080/ 3080ti pre built. Thanks!

    • +1

No availability on these at the moment sorry

  • +1

any rtx 3060, under 1500 deals coming soon?

    • +5

      Looking at it

      • Look forward to this haha

  • sorry for the noob question:

my current PC connects to Logitech z906 5.1 speakers via SPDIF digital audio, but it doesn't look like there is support for a digital audio cable with this build?

is there something else I should be doing to connect this PC to my speakers for 5.1 surround sound?

    • Via 3mm connections.

Those small green, orange, and black plugs in the back… each plug handles two channels (Front left and right, Rear left and right, Center and Sub).

Connect those to any modern motherboard. Colours should even be the same on the motherboard panel, but it makes little difference because you can specify which plug does what within the sound settings (easiest way is to make sure you have the audio drivers from your motherboard manufacturer installed, and then use their software platform to make the changes… don't rely just on Windows sound settings).

Still can't believe how much this all costs now.

Fair enough my graphics cards are very old, but when I bought the 70 series were $500 each.

Will have to bite the bullet eventually.

  • Any recommendation for upgrades? I buy Pc once every 5,6 years so I do not mind paying extra, I do gaming and chrome browsing at the same time alot.

    • +1

Depends what you do man, for this build you would want to upgrade cooler to let's say 240mm AIO and then bump up the NVME to 1tb if you don't want to do it yourself later.

  • extremely tempted, but with amd's am5 coming and 4000 series this year idk if its worth pulling the trigger now.

  • How long is the warranty on the GPU?

    • +1

It will depend on which model you receive. Every GPU will have a manufacturer's warranty that extends beyound our standard assembled system warranty (assuming you don't extend it). If you receive a Gainward it will be 3 years total, with warranty to be processed back through us as they don't have a local distributor. Other brands have local presences but generally require it to come back through the place of purchase (i.e. us) anyway.

  • Why do ppl prefer amd over Intel, especially at higher cost? Is it known to be better for gaming?

    • +2

cost effective and more power efficient. At least vs 10th and 11th gen.

  • +11

I would like to share my experience with Techfast. First I had to return the PC that took a very long time to build + deliver and the processor was dead on arrival. They were only reachable via email, so imagine trying to trouble shoot a PC that won't start through email with their customer service.

They replaced the CPU and the PC is now old enough to be outside of warranty. The power supply (they use someone called Allied) died, I have replaced it myself. The motherboard has USB IO that stopped working now and issue with network as any wifi dongle I use will cut in/out of connection (so I'm using physical cable). And just last week, one of the Allied SSD died.

Overall, all the specs are technically correct, they don't mis-advertise, but just a heads-up, some of the parts they use are quite questionable/non-brand. If you're unlucky like me, things will start to fail after about 1.5-2yrs. And it wasn't worth the hassle trouble shoot and diagnose the problem with Techfast via email.

110% I will be building my own PC from here on. At the time, I thought it was just easier to buy a pre-build and the price was too good. In hindsight, not such a smart decision.

  • Hey Luke,

I also ordered the early to mid Jan 3080 batch back in Dec 26, 2021. I received the emails in regards to the updates/offer and did opt to upgrade the GPU and swap cases to fast track the build. Although I haven't received the updated invoice and no reply yet on when the build would start? I paid for the upgrade last week, sent an email yesterday to Caleb in regards to the invoice but no reply yet. Could you check up on it please?

    Cheers

    • The GPU you upgraded to is arriving in the same batch as the cards to finish the batch off (this was in the email), so it wasn't a case of fast tracking, more that you had the option to upgrade to the newer card since your order hadn't shipped. These builds all have priority and will be completed ASAP once they arrive.

      • No dramas mate. Sounds good. And were you able to look into the updated invoice?

        Cheers Luke

        • Caleb is handling that now for you 👍

  • Hey luke, any updates on the pc build times? Ordered mine on the 21st and still havent heard since

    • The entire shipment is here - unfortunately it is inaccessible as it is stuck with an aviation and courier service affected by COVID isolation in their business and can't be processed/released. As soon as it is released it is with us next day and we can finish everything off. So it's just a matter of them processing and releasing. Once we have them, we will complete the builds in a handful of days.
