This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE

        I haven't tried yet because I've always used ifakelocation and thought I could get it working. Will try 3uTools if I can't get ifake working.

    Getting an error A02 when trying to lock in a price on Android with chopper. Anyone else got this? It worked a few weeks ago.

    Got a bunch of G09 this morning. Every account I log into now is getting the G09 error.

    I do locks for friends using my multiple accounts and it's never been an issue. Is there a limit on how many accounts you can sign into on one phone?

    They seem to be cracking down. I've never had a G09 error before. What's the fastest way to create new account emails?

        Let me amend that… fastest and cheapest.

        Also it seems like any accounts I sign into now on that phone get the G09 error. I thought they might have banned my phone, but I was able to log into the several accounts from this morning before the G09 error. So those accounts are still able to be used on my phone.

        Also I was able to make a new account. So not sure what's going on there.

          Trashmail.com worked well but a lot of my newer accounts got g09'd

            @cwongtech: Is this recently or a while ago? I've never had that error and have quite a few accounts. But this morning, after locking in the price for three accounts, every account I sign into now is G09.

            I thought they were going to ban all accounts that has been associated with my phone, but I can still use some accounts. I then tried signing in to further accounts with another phone and they got G09 as well. I wonder if these are the accounts that I did that lock a few months back where it was a price error in VIC.

              @warmfruit: If you're using a phone make sure you keep switching IPs (VPN, or use mobile data and do airplane mode toggle)

                @cwongtech: I used to do that but then got lax because I stopped doing it and it wasn't an issue. Guess I'll have to go back to being careful again.

    I managed to get chopper working on my iPhone (running iOS 16).
    I usually fuel up at Costco. So, I am a complete noob when it comes to using 7-Eleven's fuel lock since I will be trying it for the first time.

    Q1. Once the price is locked in, it expires or unlocks after 7 days. Can it be used in multiple transactions within the 7-day window? I was planning to double dip 2% off with my HSBC card by breaking the purchase into multiple transactions rather than the checkout clerk not allowing split payments.

    Q2. I have read most parts of this thread, and I note that some folks have had their fuel lock denied due to some "mysterious technical issues". Is it due to forgetting to scan the barcode on your app? Any shady practices from checkout clerks to be aware of?

      Can't be used again at the price set once used. In saying that dont think there is a limit of how many times you can lock and use the price set

      Think there's been a few cases of 7-11 staff saying that the scanner doesnt work blah blah. If that's the case, take the receipt and send to 7-11 head office for a credit. And don't go back to that 7-11 station again

        Yes. No other way around it, I guess. Using multiple accounts on the same phone / network might lead to bans.
        The only downside is having to place the phone into developer mode, and reboot for chopper to work.

        And don't go back to that 7-11 station again

        Maybe we should create a wiki page for these dodgy 7-Eleven stores.

      i've locked in a price from interstate, used it the same day, then went home and locked that same price in again on the same account for the next 7 days. can't remember if i filled up again or not but that i'm still using that account.

      the only time i've been denied a fuel lock is when their system suddenly "froze" and became unresponsive right before i went to pay for a full tank of fuel. when i asked why there weren't any signs saying fuel locks wouldn't be honoured due to technical issues, the attendant was adamant it had only just happened. i actually waited around there for a bit to see if their system came back online but had to pay full price and wait for a gift card from head office a week or so later.

      on more than one occasion, i've opened up the app while walking to the counter, only to find it wouldn't load at all. since i always screenshot the price i locked in and my barcode, it wasn't a problem.

    I got it working 2 weeks ago with Nox Simulator. But following Nox update, I get an error saying:
    "Oh oh" We've detected your location isn't true. To continue, please correct your location."

    Is it maybe a fix by 7/11 for this method?

      Usually they give you their 7/11 account login details, and you lock it in for them.

        I have a mac and an iPhone.

        Please explain it to me like I am 5 years old as all i know about 3utools is that its a file management app. How do I get from there to locking in fuel prices

          not sure if/how it works on a mac, but on a PC, you just connect your phone, select 'Common Tools' on the main menu, then select 'VirtualLocation'.
          enter the address of the location and then press the 'Modify virtual location' button, and you phone goes to that location.
          you can then use google maps, 7/11 app and they think you are there.

                  @bidam: dmg is extension used by apple. Like windows have .exe for applications, apple use .dmg for Apple Disk Image file.

                  the file you should have downloaded for mac is called

                  ifakelocation-v1.7.0-macosx-x64-rev1.dmg

                      The download instructions says to go to release page and download the file applicable for your OS.

    Just used ifakelocation as I have been doing for years, but it won't login after setting the location change. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

    Edit. Seems flaky, getting a "Oops no connection" sometimes.

      yes, I had an error A01 twice this morning locking a price. It seems to suggest a connection issue or timeout.
      third time and it had showed the locked price from previous attempt.

    Merged from 7-Eleven Chopper No More?

    Tried locking in the refibery.fyi coords on my GPS mock location app and the 7-11 app just came with the not true location message. Just filled up the other car two days ago and nothing was changed from my end. Is anyone else in the same boat? I can't imagine paying any more than I am with the chopper which I already think is stupid expensive 😭😭😭.

    Seems there was another big ban wave. I regularly lock for dozens of people on here and flicking through logins this morning, all banned.

    All 3 of my accounts are gone too, including 1 that was only ever used once for that Wantirna deal. Could be based off that?

    EDIT: Tip for people making new accounts with gmail. The normal + trick wont work with 711, they wont accept the email address. Just add a full stop somewhere along your email (not right before or anywhere after the @) and 711 will accept it as a new address, and youll receive the setup email. Example,

    Original address - [email protected]
    Will work - [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc
    Wont work - [email protected], [email protected],

    Good news everybody!

    I managed to get the emulator hack up and running on Android Studio, which means we should be able to run it across Windows/Mac/Linux now (Nox only worked on Windows). I wasn't able to test on an Apple Silicon device yet, so can't confirm if it works there.

    I need to do more testing, but so far it works on Android 11, so that should cover us for a few more years if 711 decide to ditch support for Android 9 (which is as high as Nox goes).

    I'll be back with a guide later so we can finally ditch Nox.

        It's coming. It's a bit of a write up (trying to make it as simple as possible so I'm not bombarded with too many tech support requests) and I currently have to prioritise some actual paid work, but it WILL be here shortly. I tested it a few hours ago and it worked. I'll give it another go before I publish , but I'll have to create some more 7/11 accounts first :)

    Anyone ever had an error with the discount and had to claim a voucher?

    My friend scanned a barcode this morning and it didn't work because the app is down for maintenance. The attendant said you can use the receipt and claim a voucher. Anyone have any experience with this?

    Do I just contact 7/11 and tell them what happened? I'm not sure if it's worth it because I've got a bunch of accounts, some of which have already been banned, plus I use fake names etc. I don't want them knowing my address. If it's an emailed voucher then that's fine.

    I wonder if they're doing system maintenance to try and ban more accounts. A bunch of mine got G09 last month.

    The attendant this morning told my friend that he's never seen the discount not go through before.

      i have multiple accounts as well and wasn't too keen on contacting them for the same reasons. but it was nearly $9 so yeah, went through with it. they sent me a physical gift card for $9 (rounded up), then it was tense stuff waiting to see if the attendant knew how to process split transactions. (maximum 3 splits)

      i'd just do it.

    Just upgraded to ipadOS 16 and now 3utools virtual location isn't working for me - never had an issue before. Says to restart the device but when i try that it doesn't work. Anyone else had this issue?

    EDIT: NM figured it out, the update had disabled developer mode so had to turn it back on.
