"surround sound" from 4 front speakers.

Edifier G7000 5.1 Wireless Stereo Gaming Speaker System

Patented 5.1 stereo technology from 4 drivers.

Yea, so it's virtual. Hence "surround sound".

DTS digital surround sound technology recognizes sound from the battlefield in games
The G7000 allows you to Immerse yourself in theatre-level surround sound with acoustic positioning precision, perfect for various gaming titles.

        • That would be virtual surround sound, the reproduction of fake 5 channels from 2 discrete channels through the use of audio processing. The cleverness here, besides getting 5 discrete channels from 4 drivers, is the collapse of 5 channels into 2 channels of stereo :-)

@alvian: Yes, virtual surround sound…. it's not physical 5.1 and not even physical surround sound. Hence "surround sound". Technically it would be worse "surround sound" than headphones.

Confirmed these come equipped with RGB - gaming certified.

They come with bonus pack of Doritos and 2L Mountain Dew by any chance?

      • Use the code Neckbeard to claim those

        • If they throw in a fedora. Then many basement dwelling neckbeards will be breaking down their doors to get a piece of that action.

That's a weird product most people use headsets and pretty much everybody plays online with friends
image just blasting this in the background

  • I'm assuming this would sit directly below a monitor? TV soundbars are already "meh" for the most part (narrow stereo field, small and tinny drivers, etc), I can't imagine this would be any better. I'd recommend just a regular stereo or stereo + sub combo from Edifier with correct speaker placement over this any day
