they've been doing this with a number of discounted ryobi products in the last week. they might be there initially on the site, but then they disappear to a 404. I've got a few of them added to my project list on the site from before the discount, and they're now labelled with 'not available for online purchase'. if you click on them to go to the product page, it 404s

  • Showing as page not found for me.

  • Searched for it on website but only for this at $109
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-impact-driver-skin…

  • might be already gone! least you can if off amazon for $60.31 + Delivery for that deal this morning if you miss out

  • You guys are too fast for me! Just added the image on imgur.. I can't seem to figure out how to upload on OzBargain?

    • From which store that photo was taken?

    • You can upload the image here, and use the Image URL as the URL for the deal post.

      • Thanks. Updated now

Tell me when you get one!

    • Here you go

  • which store you taken the picture?

  • +1

Not on clearance at Nunawading, they said was a core stock item still

    • Was $60 at my local store yesterday but out of stock and they said it’s a deleted line and they won’t be getting any more.

  • Not brushless?

  • Location please, I’ve tried a handful of Sydney stores on the website and all shows $109.

  • photo was taken at the Bankstown Airport store

Not a fan of RYOBI stuff.

How many left at Bankstown Airport?

This is skin product only. I can tell the battery design for this product is terrible.

  • +1

In case you guys don't know already, Bunnings/Ryobi are flogging these and replacing with their 'HP' / High Performance versions.

Nice to get a bargain - I think the big difference is the use of brushless motors for all HP line tools

    • This is probably not across all stores. All ACT stores having this skin at 109 with plenty of stocks

  • Epping, Springvale and Caroline springs appear to have stock in Melb from my quick search for stores around metro melb.

Not sure if price is the same there though..

    • Springvale was showing as $99 yesterday, price on the shelf might be different though.
edit - Just checked PP, still shows $99.

      • That sucks, I was about to head down to West Footscray to see if they had any but I might leave it if it's likely to be a store specific sale. Oh well I'm sure there'll be plenty more deals in no time.

  • This seems to be the type of drill I've been waiting for, good for general light duty stuff around the house but can also drive in long screws and drill into masonry correct?
I wish these companies would get together and come up with a universal battery system though for each voltage level.
Half the reason I haven't already purchased one is because I can't decide which system I wanna get locked into.

    • You can buy adapters for most - although the shape of ryobi batteries makes them less than ideal to adapt ryobi batteries to others.

    • +1

You want a hammer drill for masonry, impact driver is solely for driving screws, you probably could drill a hole with it but I doubt it'd work well, additionally impact drivers do not have a regular chuck, they can only use 1/4" bits. (Although you can get impact driver/drill driver combinations with a regular chuck)

Hammer drill is the most versatile drill for general DIY, it drills into masonry and can drive screws (actually they usually drive screws faster in hammer mode than even an impact drill lol)

Downside of hammer drills is they're a bit heavier and bulkier than an impact driver or drill driver.

Bunnings in Vic metro where price is $50 and there is stock

    Craigieburn - 1
    Epping - 4
    Fountain Gate - 2
    Frankston - 1
    Hamilton - 6
    Hoppers Crossing - 1 - $25
    Hawthorn - 1
    Keysborough - 1
    Melton East - 1
    Moorabbin - 1
    Torquay - 2

    • Thanks! The 3x Bunnings near me aren't on that list so looks like I'm missing this one.
      Maribyrnong, Sunshine, West Footscray.

      • When i ducked into my local to pick up the rotary tool kit the other day it wasnt on clearance at the lowest possible price and the tool shop manager said they usually only lower the clearance prices further when stock starts to get low and they want to shift it all, but was also at discretion of the manager. I asked politely for a price match and go it so YMMV.

Sunshine is showing 2 in stock @ $99, might be worth a suck up

Cragieburn & Torquay also have the Reciprocating saw kit R18RS12 on clearance for $50 as well. 2 at Cragy 4 at Torquay

      • +1

I bought one yesterday - Recipro saw R18RS12 kit- for $49.50 from Bunnings Kingston (there were 2 left).
Tried to create a post about it but couldn't upload the image :/
Not sure if there are more about.

        • Good score! none in my area and the mrs is starting to notice the recycle bin filling up with ryobi packaging, so probs a good thing

          • +1

@Neilzy: fold the boxes inside out before they go into the recycle bin, no one needs to know ;)

            • @bashir: …. Bloody GENIUS! WTF. Why didnt i think of that! haha

      • Picked one up from Torquay, they said they have 2 left but it was a battle to find mine in the pile on the top of the shelves, they almost gave me the brushless mini one for $50 instead (RRP $199) someone had put the clearance sign on them!

    • Interesting, Moorabbin has been showing no stock on PP for at least 24hrs.

    • FYI - I've been told by a couple of different Bunnings staff that when stock levels show 1 it's usually indicating store display stock only left and they don't have any units to sell. YMMV.

    • How do you find these stock levels?

  • $99 at the nsw stores I have called.

  • +4

my local bunnings act like they personally have to pay the difference if they mark down anything

  • FYI Norlunga SA have 2 and they matched the $50 (edwardstown sa price) but i had to return it because i didnt see it doesnt take round drill bits :( luckily i had left the car park.

    • because i didnt see it doesnt take round drill bits

Because it doesn’t take round bits? Well it does actually

      • Grrr, The tool shop said hex only when i asked :(

        • +1

Natively hex but you can buy a $5 adapter to use round bits like for drilling and other adapters for wrenching. If you were only going to buy one tool for the garage/shed this would be it because it’s so versatile

    • +1

Sutton also make 'hex' style drill bits, that are excellent. Sold by Bunnings.

    • You'll regret returning it. I have 3 other drills (2 are hammer drills), and my Impact driver went missing @ 4-5 weeks ago. It is so much easier for driving screws, bolts etc. I use the Sutton bits for drilling, and there are quite a few drill bits around. She may not be high tensile, high grade, but I've never broken one (only lost them). I've ordered the other one from Amazon for $60, seeing as how NSW is still $99.

  • Bunnings have the rotary tool for $35.00 and the renovator for $74.00 just picked them up no idea how to upload a pic from my phone sorry

    • What is the renovator? Is that one of the multi tools?

      • +1

Yes it vibrates back and forth for cutting and can change the heads to different attachments, cutting, sanding etc

        • Very handy.
I used it recently to remove the neck from a Guitar I built.

  • $99 at Gregory Hills NSW :(

    • I ended up buying the one on Amazon. $10 more, but a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

  • Didn’t appear to be any at Northmead or Rydalmere when I was browsing for other stuff. I think it may have had a $99 tag on the shelf at one but none in stock
