  • +2

Thanks OP! Just nabbed one to use it as port out for one of the future JB’s plan

  • +2

    Nice, actually need one thanks.
Paid with kogan credit (have the kogan credit card)

  • +2

Did everyone else have an auto $0 starter sim added to the cart?

    • +1

      Yea

    • +2

Kogan add it free everytime you add a Koganmobile voucher to your cart, if you don't need it and don't want it, you can remove it. You can still get the voucher on it's own. 👍

      • +1

thx. I thought the same but my original order didn't, rushed thru checkout so i didn't miss out, 2nd time it added, just wondered wot others experienced..

        Cheers guys..

  • +2

      • +1

Oh really. That will be even better

  • +2

    Grabbed one, thanks

  • +2

    Cheers! Got one

  • +2

    got one thanks!

  • Does Kogan mobile have all features a Vodafone prepaid/postpaid has?

  • Really is a waste of time porting for a mth .

    • +1

I'm trying it out to see how vodafone coverage fares in my area. Both Boost and Amaysim have one to no bars, thus no calls can be made.

    • +2

I don't think you have to port with this deal.

      • +2

Yeah. I'll probably use it for the data only. Calls text etc from sim 1 (main line), data from sim 2 (this kogan)

        • this is the way

      • No idea but it states not for recharging.

  • +1

got one too this time around

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • +2

So if we get two, we can use the second one to renew the first one and keep the same number?

    • +2

      Definitely not.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

  • +3

What does "Student plan" mean, I wonder?

  • +1

do you need to sign up a 12month plan to use the first month $0.01??

    • +1

As per the title - it's prepaid.

      • which means i could get 12 of them and keep switching to a new one every month ?

        • Why not

          • @tidie: But I think you can't keep the same number

            • @yanlianglee: just use a dual sim mobile, use one to receive calls and make calls with the new one.
the question is u need to use ur ID to activate it and do they allow u to keep activate a new sim every month?

  • +1

Thanks grabbed one and they added a $2 sim for free aswell, dno if thats part of it or not but hopefully can use both for trials

  • +1

    Got one, thanks😊

  • +1

Is there a limit to how many months can be stacked?

EDIT: Just read the fine print -

Voucher does not apply to subsequent recharges

    • -1

just received the cod and it saids

"If you are already a Kogan Mobile customer, simply login to your account, click recharge, choose your plan type, then enter your voucher. You will not need a new SIM Card."

so it is a recharge code ??

      • +2

Somebody used the student code from the deal earlier today "as a recharge" on their existing plan and it sounds like it changed the plan to 31 days and gave him 20GB data.

So it seems to essentially just be a Medium plan voucher +10GB data. But if you activate it as a new customer you get bonus data, so 30GB all up. I'm guessing.

        • -1

The main point is not 20 or 30gb,
if u can use to recharge that means u could stack them.

  • +1

    Grabbed one, Thanks OP

  • +5

    Paid using ZipPay 😂

  • Can you activate and use for the 30 days, cancel the plan then reactivate using another code?

    • +1

      Same number?

  • +2

    Got it cheers

    • +3

Username definitely checks out for this deal

  • +2

Got one. The new phone number will come in handy for uba eat sign up credit. Will be a hassle to swap out SIM cards but worth it I guess

    • -1

Uber eats doesn't Llow previously used handsets :(

  • Grabbed a few.
It says "$20 Student Pack is valid for new Kogan Mobile customers only who are UNIDAYS members."
Just wondering if one has to be Unidays members for this ?

    • No, the Unidays account is for the code but it's generic

  • Cheers!

  • Thanks OP! Missed the last deal, and saw this one on time.
Que - Is this deal for "new customers" only, or can we use multiple codes at the end of each month?

  • +1

    Thanks op.

  • "Vouchers should only be used by UniDays Students" LOL

    • +5

We are students though, learning about bargains.

  • +4

    I am now a whopping 50c poorer :D

    • +1

      50!!??

    • Here come the downvotes… or not.

    • +2

Imagine seeing $0.01 popping up 50 times on your bank statement

      • I bought less than 10 using Kogan credits. 50 is crazy!

    • +6

This is why we don’t have nice things

      • Seems like yeemail has 50 nice things

  • yearly stock up

  • do you need an ID to activate it ?

    • +4

Yes, It's a requirement by law to crackdown on Terrorist and drug dealers

      • +1

I used to work for a telco, I'm not joking.

        https://www.acma.gov.au/acmas-rules-id-checks-prepaid-mobile…

      • and drug dealers

Not if you work in construction, are an importer or own a red rooster franchise

        • +2

Of course not Mr. White. Lol

      • +3

Somehow lawmakers / government are always many steps behind - in this case suitable end-to-end encryption renders these draconian measures useless.

  • +1

    Thanks op.

  • $0.01 for Vodafone network, gee a bit steep!!

    • +2

I am very happy with Voda network….. YMMV

      • -3

        No you're not!

        • +6

It's very location dependent. I get terrible Telstra signal but excellent Vodafone. Maybe more people in my area uses Telstra so that brings the congestion.

Point being, can't just say a particular network is always bad. It depends on the use case.
