      Gomo Gomo Gomo………..Gomo

      • Oh it's good to be called haha

    • when does this end?

      • +1

        Tomorrow

  • So probably best to set up a new number on the eSIM for the trial?

  • +1

    They have VoLTE too.

    • what is that?

      • Calls over the internet (Voice Over LTE).

  • Any credit checks?

    • +2

      Its prepaid so no.

  • I would have liked to swap to these guys but they dont have e-sim for Samsung watches though.

  • Which mob are they using?

    • +1

      Optus

    • Gambino.

    Network used in title, thanks

  • Awesome

Looks like eSim from Gomo is not compatible with any smart watches.

  • "Excludes rate plan changes and SIM swaps"

Does this mean no porting allowed?

    • I'd assume that means that if you're an existing customer, you can't swap from a physical SIM to an e-SIM and claim the free month.

Required a credit card but you can cancel auto-renew straight after activation and keep using until expiry

Not ever again. The last time this deal offered, I jumped. It was a disaster. Their call centres are on planets in a universe far far away. Only access via 'chat' - they have zero interest in customer support/care. They literally make it up as they go and don't care. They badly screwed up the porting of my number. Four days later and 3000 random excuses/stories, I contacted who I was porting from and they cancelled it. Yesterday, I picked up the 365 day Vodafone 150gb half price deal at Woolworth's (posted here). Ported within 3 hours, changed to e-sim via app. Took about 10 minutes all up for e-sim. If you want a deal and maintain your sanity without an IV drip of tranquilisers during the process, it's obvious who I recommend.

Sounds about as good as Circles.Life

    • Have to concur with this summary. Hard to believe they can be so incompetent unless it's an objective

  • App is published by Optus, so Optus is running this?

    • +2

Yes, Gomo is Optus' low cost offering. Like Felix is to TPG/Voda and Belong is to Telstra.

  • How easy is it to cancel?

    • Just cancel auto renew in the app

I signed up to this a few months ago - very happy so far
First month I did the 60GB and immediately switched to the lowest plan.
For some reason for first month they gave me 60GB twice, and the data rolls over so I had 120GB first month and get 5GB added each month for $15., Seems like a good deal for eSim support and wifi calling.

Just signed in to confrim that I had exactly same issue with Gomo. They couldn't port in my number and it took two months for them to refund my money back. First time I've had any issue with porting in my number to another provider!

  • Absolutely no issues activating a new number.

  • How easy is it to port out of an eSIM to a physical SIM once the month is up?

  • can my parents already start activating it from overseas ?

  • My port to Gomo took 3 hours. A little longer than the previous couple of 6 minute ports, that was mildly concerning. Otherwise seems fine.
The e-sim seems unnecessarily complicated to set-up, would likely fail the parent/grandparent test.
