      Maybe, but the top up to 50GB is a bonus. Meaning it will either drop back to 20/30GB at some point, or the whole deal will disappear.

    something is very wrong about Kogan mobile..

    I activated my number on 5th of April, then recharged with some of 1c voucher left over on 5th and 6th of April. But my expiry of current plan is not changed. It is still showing expiry on 5th of May. I called kogan mobile helpline, they told me I should NOT charge it before my 30 days plan is expired. Otherwise recharge is not going to work. I also wasted these 4 vouchers and they cannot do anything about it

    Is this true? All of it sounds like bullshit to me and that agent does not seems like she know anything. She ask me to open www.help.kogan.com.au over and over again, I keep telling her this is not a website or valid URL…

      Can't help with the first paragraph as it's confusing/unclear. (The things we type often make perfect sense to ourselves, but not necessarily others.) e.g. You said you activated a (new?) number/SIM on 5th April… then you recharged (with multiple vouchers), on that same day. (While it's not impossible you used the entire xxGB on day 1, it seems unlikely.)

      Also, if you did the initial activation on 5th April, then recharged that same day, the expiry date wouldn't change… because, well, it's still effectively day 1, if you get me. i.e. Recharging adds 30 days to the day you recharged it on… which was day 1, the same day you activated it.

      • Activate a SIM on the 5th April… means an expiry 30 days later at midnight 4th May.
      • Recharge that same SIM on the 5th April too… still means an expiry 30 days later at midnight 4th May.

      So you would have topped up the DATA again, but still had the same expiry date. The ones you recharged with on the 6th would have only added one day to your expiry date (5th May), because you applied them on day 2.

      Hope that makes sense?

      Unfortunately it’s true, you lose any remaining days when you do a recharge with Kogan. Your recharge basically reset the 30 days each time. It doesn’t add onto the end of the plan. That’s why you need to wait until the end of 30 days to recharge in order to extend your plan.

        Yep the only time you'd recharge before 12:01am on day 31 (just after midnight day 30 so you get another full 30 days) is if you ran out of data.

    That is not my understanding of how recharge works.

    But it is the way Kogan recharge works

      Oh I see now… so other telcos ADD a month onto the END of your expiry date when you recharge. I've never hit that problem before lol. So when you run out of data with other telcos you must have to buy more data but keep the same expiry date. Ok.
