      yes, you can use ethernet from both the main router and the satellite.

      If you are referring to Ethernet backhaul then NO, the satellite only have Ethernet out not in.

          You are right. There are limitations though, like only one satellite can be linked via Ethernet.

            @Nomoneynotalk: to the mesh main router yes. But if we are using an existing router/modem, we should be able to connect both main/satellite to it using ethernet (on AP mode) on these, as many as we like.

              @WhatsTheBigDeal: Does AP mode means the routing and control are done by the exisiting modem/router? Will that affect the Mesh handover or negates the mesh management/ security by the netgear system?

                @Nomoneynotalk: routing yes, not sure about control of wifi mesh. I'd assume it is done by mesh main router. As long as they are connected to the same switch on ethernet on the same subnet, theoretically it should act as them interconnected directly.
                Costco has already dispatched mine, hopefully should get it by Friday. I'll keep this posted.

                    @Nomoneynotalk: Hello again, yes it is working now with both main and satellite connected to my home router directly via wired Ethernet. They are on AP mode, main with dhcp serving disabled and on static ip, while satellite is on dhcp (can't make it static). My home router acts as dhcp server for everything at home (didn't wanna change it).

            Havent tried that one. My house has an Ethernet backbone and currently the setup is like below.
            NBN NTD>>Linksys Switch>>Netgear MK62>> Ethernet to Living room>> TPlink switch >> Satellite MK62..

              @Fuzzy69: yeah so you have interconnected the main and satellite through a switch (TP link). so it should basically work even if your satellite is directly connected to Linksys switch too.. but yeah i'll have to trial it and see….

    Netgear au website itself has it on clearence for $229 when everywhere else (except costco) still shows it for RRP $299

    edit: bought it from costco after a bit of research. seems to be the cheapest wifi6 mesh solution i could find from a reputed brand. i maybe a bit biased cos most of my gear is netgear.

    I have the Orbi AX1800 mesh system (the arguably better version to this one) and tbh I don't like it. The reason is that, unlike other brands, Netgear's routers do not support mesh at the moment. This makes upgrading your network just a tab bit less seamless. They are of good quality though.
