  • The app is a POS I still have an order sitting in the checkout that I can't view or delete and says unknown error and they want to bring out rewards 😅 never using the in app payment again

  • Just did this. It shows 0pts on the home screen but when I go to Show History it says 2500 points comped

Edit: shows on home screen now

Hot Tip. 7/11 $1 coffee. Cheaper and better

    • +4

Nah…cheaper, of course. Definitely not better. Might as well use your pod coffee machine at home than buy a $1 7/11 coffee.

    • +1

But that requires getting out of the car and making my own coffee

    • You can't compare coffee from a machine to coffee made by a barista.

    • +3

As someone who has worked as a barista in a non-cafe environment (think: fast food; petrol station), in my experience, these big businesses give 0 shits about how good the coffee is.

No care for extraction time, taste profile, frothing technique etc. Yeah, 7-11 coffee is a little more harsh, but at least it’s good value.

  • +6

This title still doesn’t sound right. It’s not 2500 points for each coffee punch, it’s a flat 2500 points for up to 4 punches.

  • I’m not actually near a maccas to test it but these were already in my cart.

There seems to be a error with happy meal pricing.
    Ie.
    Cheeseburger happy meal
    Small chips
    No extra side
Select drink. Some are reducing the price of the meal
Seems anything that doesn’t have +$x.xx
    Ie small thickshake
Comes to $1.80 total for the meal.
No idea if the sale would actually go through.

    • Showing $4.95 for me (normally Happy Meal price) so they've obviously fixed it.

    • i noticed that as well.. does the sale go through?

edit: on the payment page it goes back to $5.45 (normal happy meal price).. i guess it's still a hack since the shake should make it extra ?? or will it charge the full amount $5.45 + $x.xx … hmmm

      • +1

        Hey
        I’ve tested since,
As soon as you click choose payment the correct price displays. $4.95

But yes great was to get a small shake

        • very interesting

  • new app has the "Accept" terms and conditions greyed out

probably a good thing for my health

    • Yeah, can't see a way to get through…

Might take it as an omen but now I'm kinda keen to remove my CC from it given the reports above.

Might see if I can work around accepting on another device or something

    • Wouldn't accept for me… If you use gestures rather than on screen buttons, turn on the on screen navigation buttons temporarily and then you should be able to hit accept.

Worked for me - Galaxy S21 Ultra.

    • +1

You either have a large resolution phone, or have your font size set to small. Crank the font size, then you're able to "scroll" and press accept.

Clearly no one tested the app on anything but the phone they had on their desk.

  • +2

They've removed the coffee frappe from the list of redemption choices. I used to get a large of these free with the punch card system.

  • +1

I had 4 punches and only got 2500 points.

  • I had 2 punches, so getting that converted immediately to points for another coffee isn't bad.

But from the sounds of it, if you buy something for $9.90 you only get 900 points.

    • No you actually get 990 points.

  • For people that confused why they only getting 2500 points…
This is NOT 2500 per punch… Its 2500 for all of your punches (ie. 1 or 4 punches will still nett you 2500 pts)

Title is wrong, however description is correct:

existing coffee punches will be credited with a flat amount of 2500 Rewards points for their punches (to a maximum of 4 punches).

  • No matter what I say in interviews, I, just don't like change.

  • Had one punch and received 2500 points so essentially BOGOF for me :)

I remember mentioning in the survey that I personally think the reward system is poor value, probably won't be using it much.

    • +2

Spend $25 (including promos) and get a free large McCafe drink is the exact opposite of poor value to me.

  • First time I tried to use the app since Rewards came in, my payment wouldn't go through on the App and they wanted me to pay with my card for the order. Which I assumed meant I would get no rewards points, so I wouldn't do it and just left.

  • I had one punch before accepting t&c for rewards. After I signed up I didn't receive the points. :(
Tried signing out and signing in via facebook, and now I can't even sign in because it says error 41474. :( :(

  • Is this still working for anyone?

  • can someone advise if I can pay on maccas app by zip card saved on my google pay? ty
