    • whats dollar value per point?

      • -1

Liposuction costs around $4k. Eating McDonald's gets expensive.

  • THanks got the apple slices

That's like going to a sex worker for a hug.

    • +5

      Proof or ban

      • +2

        Ban either way id say

  • +5

    History still says 0 points?

    • +1

For me it was 0 when I first loaded it up, but it appeared about ten minutes later.

      • +1

        Still 0 an hour later

        • It's a long 10 minutes.

    • Look at the top right hand corner of
App should show 2500, joined yesterday it’s there today

  • +6

I already had 2 of the 5 coffee purchases required for the free one. Will these convert to points?

    • +4

Nope. At first I thought the 2500 was my previous two points converted, but unfortunately not.

    • +2

It's says they'll be converted in the link.

      • +2

I got 2500 when I had 2 points before, and my brother got the same when he had none.

    • I had two out of five coffee beans which was converted to 2500 points (not 5000) which I think is more than fair enough.

I used the 2500 points for a free large oat mocha coffee.

My second account has no points at all likey because I never used it to buy coffee.

  • +2

    What if I joined yesterday?

    • +1

      Same no points

    • want to know the same

      • +1

Just arrived on the top right corner

        • Did u just sign up?

    • +1

Both my brother and I already had an account each for some time now and we both got the 2500.

    • +2

Same. Joined yesterday. No bonus points. So much for being early adopters

    • Then hand in your ozbargain card

  • +1

joined yesterday, still no point in the app

  • +8

2500 is any size coffee, atleast in SA

  • -3

No points because I joined yesterday. Oh well, time to make a new account.

  • +4

I remember doing a survey for Macca's on a rewards program and this was probably at least 8-12 months ago… they finally got their act together to launch it?

    • +2

Pretty standard amount of time for them to launch something. I did a focus group for McDonald's star shaped fish nuggets 8 years ago but they never got launched.

    • I believe this program (same name, design and everything [minus "maccas"]) has been around in the US for a while.

    • I’ve been on a trial for 6-12 months.

  • +2

    nothing for existing accounts

  • +2

Waiting for when I can order maccas from the metaverse 😆

  • -4

All 3 of my accounts (each account has different deals) got the points and I’ve had them for ages. I actually think the rewards for each of them is pretty bad tbh. 5,000 points for a snack wrap? Lol 2,500 points for a hamburger? That’s 2 large Big Mac meals. Can’t even get a frappe with the McCafe drinks. At least you received a card punch for each frappe and could even redeem for a free one.

Keep your passwords safe, as they store the details at the account level, not the device and there is not verification that the account is attached to the device it was added.

  • +1

It wouldn't let me accept the terms. Button remains grey

    • The button remained grey for me as I kept pushing it. It eventually accepted it.

    • Scroll down

      • +1

There's nothing to scroll. Tapping it doesn't work either

        • ok, I couldn't press accept terms had to scroll down slightly to the bottom of the terms then button became pressable.

          • @Davbar24: I scrolled down to the contact details in the terms page. When pressed back, the accept button is still grey.

            • @nosrad: Same here, I'm on a Samsung 10" Android tablet.

        • -1

          There is.

        • +4

Same, it won't change unless you scroll. My font was small so there was nothing to scroll.
I ended up increasing the font size and display size to force it to be scrollable and that worked.
Then you can change the font back.
          Bad programming.

    • Wouldn't accept for me… If you use gestures rather than on screen buttons, turn on the on screen navigation buttons temporarily and then you should be able to hit accept.

Worked for me - Galaxy S21 Ultra.

  • +5

This is the chart for available options and tiers alongside the value of reward points required.

    • +2

The most ‘value’ would definitely be a large McCafé drink.

  • +2

No points showing up for me?

    • +1

      Same

      • +1

        Same same

        • Shame

        • Me too. Even deleted account and signed up again

  • Amazing. On the Loose Change Menu, you have the choice of ordering small fries at the top (FEATURED) for $2.65.

If you scroll down, you can buy small fries for $2.00

    What the hell, maccas?

    • +4

Although it says $2.65, you'll notice it updates in the cart once added to be $2 to reflect the cheaper price from the small change menu, just a UI bug it seems.

  • -8

I refuse to use this app since it requires precise location enabled. Hard pass. It does not need to know my location

    • +5

To make sure you're ordering from the right restaurant and to make sure you're only saying you're there when you're there?

Yes doesn't need to know it, but for 90% of punters it makes a marked improvement.

      • I totally understand that. They could have allowed me to search for a store or set a favourite store. Precise location can be an option instead making it mandatory

        • -1

boohoo mcdonalds knows my location! good thing google, apple, microsoft don't… wait…

    • Enjoy wasting money

  • +1

I joined yesterday and got the 2500 points

    • +1

Must have been for the one coffee punch I already had

  • +3

Of course do not use points for anything other than the large Mccafe drink, worth over $5 vs. everything else $2. Don't bother with the 5000 or 7500 point levels either, the McCafe drink is more expensive than almost everything in those tiers too.

    • Don't think so, 7500 has burgers that should be more expensive than McCafe drink?

      • 7500 points would buy me three large coffees. At $6.10 each that would be $18.30.

  • go to Rewards & Orders

My app doesn't even have that shows Rewards and Deals

  • +3

Unrelated to the deal but someone just used MyMaccas app and ordered $110 worth of stuff, had a cc linked to the account :(

Don't even see a number to call.

    • I had the same thing happen to me 2 days ago! About ~$30 was purchased by someone in NSW and I live in Brisbane.

Call up your bank and reissue a new card.

I believe there could be some serious breaches happening right now, and i'm not trying to cause panic by saying that.

      • How did you get notified? Email? Or did a notification pop up on your phone saying a transaction happened?

        • +1

I got an email from McDonalds and I thought it was a scam email, they really need to implement 2 factor authentication in Australia as they have in other countries.

      • Worth a forum post maybe..

      • Hi Leichhardt, if you could share your story here that will be great.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/687046

  • +1

Existing account here - got 2500 points in my account when signing up but it may have just been the McCafe stamp I had left over. Comes up in my history as "Points Comped"

    • Same. I had one coffee punch.

  • +5

Found this in the T&Cs about the coffee punches being converted to 2500 points.

5.7 Because we are now rolling out this Rewards program for all McDonald’s food and beverage items, we are phasing out coffee punch cards. Once you sign up to MyMacca’s Rewards, you won’t be able to use your existing coffee punch card anymore BUT good news for coffee lovers – as soon as you join MyMacca’s Rewards, coffee punch card holders who have existing coffee punches will be credited with a flat amount of 2500 Rewards points for their punches (to a maximum of 4 punches). If you have already earnt a coffee reward but not redeemed it, then your coffee reward will be available until 31 December 2022, in MyMacca’s Rewards.

    • Ahhh yep bit annoying for those with 4 punches vs 1. Oh well, explains it!

    • now understand, I never bought coffee so no points. even tested to register new account still no points.

  • joined through my account, but no extra points

  • No points on my account when joining neither, done just a moment ago. Also description says 2000 points but title says 2500 points, needs clarification.

  • Thanks for the small drink.

  • +1

Just created a new account, no points whatsoever

  • +1

Got 3 stamps, but no bonus point after conversion as well.
The app forced me to sign up the reward as well :(

Edit: log off and log back in, and I can see bonus 2500 points for my 3 stamps.
So it's 2500 for all stamps, not each as per title says

    • I had 4 stamps, still got 2,500 points

      • Correct, the title of this post is wrong. It should be 2500 flat rate for any punch you got.

  • So if I had 4 punches should I have 10k points? Only showing 2.5k points

  • Got 2500

  • +4

Frappes are no longer considered a McCafé drink, I used to use the free coffee to grab a large frappe now and then, But can’t with the new point system
