[Klarna] Logitech MX Vertical Advanced Ergonomic Mouse $105 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ Umart

160
KLARNA30

Simlar to this deal posted by vodamerc, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/687171, but it's for MX vertical. I prefer this over the MX Master 3. Bought one for work and one for home as the Vertical mouse is too bulky to be carrying around.

Happy to combine the deal if easier.

cheapest is $135@Amazon, $139@Mwave etc.

2 Engineers at work swear by these for CAD work. YMMV.

Yeah they are great for everything like that, particularly when you're sitting there with your hand on it all day.

    • I have one and can vouch for its use and quality. The cheap random brands for $20-30 did not last long.
Great for daily office use but I don’t think it has high enough resolution or sensitivity for CAD though?

      • It's fine has the dot pitch settings etc
Can get used to it in 15 min. Highly recommended, save your wrist/arm from carpel tunnel and tennis elbow

  • if you use this
your hand will ergonomically mold to that shape.

MX Masters gave me whatever the thing like carpal tunnel but further up your arm is called. Can't remember. These instantly fixed that. I do note this model has been around for quite a number of years now and did think of waiting for a new one.

    • Golfer's Elbow or tennis Elbow? I got both of those somehow, what a joy

  • Currently using this mouse and can confirm it fixed my carpal tunnel-y type of issues.

Aargh I just ordered the MX Master 3 in the other deal from today at Umart but will prefer this one if it's the same tech/quality/performance as the MX Master 3. Can anyone comment if it's identical in features to the MX Master 3 except for it's ergonomic shape?

    Edit, comparison here: https://www.logitech.com/en-au/compare.html?category=product…
Looks like the MX Master 3 is a better mouse with more features than this vertical model. That's a shame becasue I do prefer the upright ergonomic style

    • Yeah this model pre-dates I think even the original MX Master. Not as many fancy buttons, and I'm not sure on the dpi

    • I've been using one at work for two years or so, and probably paid $80 or something like that (officework).

I'm a dev so the real difference imo is the MagSpeed Magnetic Scrolling from MX Master 3 which would make scrolling much easier. It's a great mouse otherwise, lasts at least 3 months per charge for me roughly, anyway I dont recall charging it often.

      • Are you using a Mac?
I stopped using mice since switching to a Mac

        • if work was nice enough to provide a Mac I be deleting my ozBargain account straightaway.

        • Do mac's have touch screens yet lol

  • How loud is the right scroll tilt? I’m looking for a mouse with light scroll tilt like GPX and G502

    • There is no scroll tilt on this one, the scroll wheel has a silent notch in the up/down direction but doesn't do anything else.

Anyone tried this for gaming? Any good?

  • I've been using this for 2 years now. I worked at a desk and uses mouse in excess of 8 hours a day. It used to cause me back pain, shoulder, and sore arm etc. It got to the point that it started affecting my sleep.

Switched to this mouse, my arm/back still gets sore from time to time, but it's a lot better. Bought one for my wife, she loves it too.

People who have optimised their workspace may not need it, but I found it great as a quick fix. It prevents my wrist from bending at a funny angle for an extended period of time.

  • Interesting, I got a knock off to test it (very similar angle) and found that all arm weight lays on one bone at the base of the palm and I can't hold it for more then 5 min.. I think if angle was closer to 90deg, it would be better.

I mean, try it before you buy it..

    • I was having the same issue and found that the issue was because I was not holding the mouse correctly. On a conventional mouse your forearm is on a slight angle and not flat with the table. If you use this type of mouse, try to keep your forearm flat on the table.

      • Yep, if I put my hand flat, my index will be on the wheel/right button..

  • Used this for 12 months - had strain / pain in my wrist of working 9-5 office job - these are seriously worth the money - within a few days i stopped having pain and it has never returned since.

  • Is this a gaming mouse?

    • No
      Office/precision/ergonomics

  • Anyone know if there is a deal on these today?
Mine just died it seems had it since Sept 2019. Bit disappointing, assume 1 year wty
