According to Whirlpool forums (via Reddit) GTA V on PS5 is available as a preorder for $14.99

Taken from a Whirlpool forums user:

GTA V PS5 version (including story and online) coming up on the Aus ps store as a preorder for $14.99. It says it’s an introductory price and standard price is AU $59.95. I can’t find it on the web store but if you go to the store on your ps5 and go to the preorder section it is in there. Wondering if it’s a price error as another article suggests it’s meant to be 50% off in this introductory period. Which would mean it should be $30. For $15 I’m going to grab it now. Basically what it should have been as an upgrade fee.

Edit: definitely think it’s a pricing error or to do with the fact gta online is going to be free on ps plus for a few months. As it’s coming up for preorder on my Xbox for $29.97 down from $59.95.

I haven't tried to buy it yet so let me know if it doesn't work but I will be trying when I get home shortly.

        You have to boot up the PS5 and go into the store that way. The search bar won't find it, you need to go to the store home screen and scroll down until you get to "Pre Orders."

        You need to go onto your PS5 and find it under preorders in the store. Searching doesn't bring it up for some reason.

    I'm downloading the online version 90gb for free, when I try switch products it says I already own the guy which is true as I used to own it in disc form for PS4 but it doesn't seem to give my the $15 option for ps5. Anyone know what I can do?

          If U go to the online version, then select the three dots to change version it should come up. I think I had to do it twice before it worked so keep that in mind

      Pretty awesome. I actually played it on PC with all the mods and bells and whistle on. But for 15 bucks, why not give the PS5 a go.

    Go to Sony Store, search GTA, click GTAV Online, press "Option" button, select GTAV, pay and download.

      Checked Aus and US stores pretty thoroughly. Def only available on a ps5 itself.

    According to some articles, this price may be the case until June so perhaps I can stop panicking.

          Frame rate was never my beef. It was lack of additional content.

            @hamwhisperer: Hmm it depends, it has 3 graphic settings, perf, perf + R Trace and Fidelity. 1st 2 are 60 FPS 4K with 2nd doing some fancy footwork to keep the 60 FPS up and 3rd is 30 FPS. Whilst not being content, the game is a totally much more enjoyable experience due to 60 FPS. Flying is not a struggle anymore, nor is driving, gun fights much more entertaining.
            Content is exactly the same but there is better traffic and less popup, apparently there is more content online but I have yet to play this.

          Did you ever play on PC.

          I completed the story there in 21:9 at over 100 fps. I'm not sure it's worth me getting this one as well. RT maybe?

            @chromium: Online would be a better situation as less hackers, I have PC version, PS3, XB1 & SX.
            I would say if you don't game on PC then PS5/SX is worth it.
            I saw the PC version on my 980Ti @ around 80-90 FPS 1440P with most at ultra bar shadows and some settings. It was a sight to behold BUT for those again that don't have good a PC to do this, then console upgrade is a serious upgrade.

    I downloaded the free GTA online and launched the game. Got to the main menu and selected story mode and it's totalling to $15.49 for me.

    Has anyone had issues with this - I paid for & downloaded back on 9/3 monies taken out of credit card - my son logged in today to finally start playing & it shows to play story mode I need to pay only the online versions free/avail.
    Strangely enough I cannot find any email record from PlayStation stating I purchased the game & the purchase doesn’t show in my transaction history on PS5 but they’ve taken $14.99 from my CC so not sure how I can go about contacting them as all I have is a credit card screenshot ??

      Update Nevermind I’m an idiot - I bought it on my daughters PS5 account not my sons so it’s been found at least!
