      I agree completely, it’s a horrid design and even harder to accomodate it on our tv cabinet - it’s currently hiding behind the TV.

      If Xbox had Geshin Impact for the kids, I would have sold the PS5 a long time ago.

        Well, if you took the EB deals (assuming you had One X and/or PS4 Pro + games to trade in), you would end up paying $50 to $100 for Series X or PS5. I know a lot of people walked out with extra EB credits after the trade-in. The guy next to me walked out with $900+ of EB world credits after the trade in (and that's after paying for the new console).

        For $50 or $100, even if PS5 is bulky or ugly, it is not a big deal. Have both Series X and PS5 (through the EB deals), they both have their pros and cons. Series S|X isn't all pros and no cons. For example: so many times I had to play dumb games to keep my reward streak going. Those games with easy achievements do leave GamePass. So have to keep finding new dumb games to get easy achievements. Also, how many times do I need to update the app store?

        Microsoft could have really made Series S really appealing if they just completely relaxed the CFastExpress interface requirement. Also, just permit any decent PCIe gen 3 x4 NVMe SSD (stop the BS on PCIe gen 4 x2 (same bandwidth) and must be either that particular special WD SSD model or that seagate add-on).

      I agree. Not to mention completely impractical for many tv cabinet setups (such as mine) which it will not fit in.
      I have never had a console standing vertically in my life and i'm not starting now, all i can picture is kid, dog, cat, clumsy visitor, etc knocking it over.

  We were spoiled by the bigw sale last year when the s was what, 348 or 378 delivered? I grabbed one then, should have grabbed two. Awesome console, gamepass machine.

    Yep grabbed one sub 400 last month. Has been great going through some of the games that I've missed due to being a PS user.

    GPU through Turkey is fantastic and adds tons of value to the console

  I'd wait for afterpay day, I picked up an s for $350 new after all discounts less than a year ago
