How does this compare to the one that is on sale at Super Cheap Auto for $50 after coupon? I have ordered that and might return it if this is better. Thanks.

Has about the 3rd of the battery capacity. if that gives you anything to go off.

      • Which one are you refering to?

        • Sorry the Xiaomi is only 2000mAh compared to the superCheap one of 6000mAh

          • +1

@BaneOfKnoll: depends what the voltage is though, could be 2000mah at 11.1V vs 6000mah at 3.7V so same power overall. One advantedge i would say for the SCA one is it has a clip on connector rather than screw on so easier to get on and off (as long as you have room, some of the small kids bikes can be hard to fit the clip on ones)

            • @Stuntdriver: The screw on Mi one works really well though I have to say, way better than a servo clip on one

            • +1

@Stuntdriver: Agreed. The Xiaomi, based on a teardown of the original, has a 7.4V battery. Can't find much on the Urbanworx but according to Xiaomi, the 1S can 're-inflate tyres up to 8* times' whereas the SCA states that Urbanworx can only inflate 'up to 4 car tyres'

              • +1

@Kelvin H.: Just note 8* times is with insufficient air pressure (2* times with 0 tyre pressure).

Whereas the Urbanwork says 4 times (doesn't state whether 0 tyre pressure or not).

    • now I cant decide between the Xiaomi or the Super Cheap one!!

nvm, ordered the Xiaomi. Smaller capacity (non issue as used for bike), but seems better designed (sits on the ground with light). Thinking that if it should die, would be easy enough to swap out the batteries with a couple of eneloops!

    • It's junk do not buy. I bought the same one from Kogan branded Certa for about $40. The microusb socket broke off, it's now failing to hold charge and heats up very quickly.

      • can't go wrong with a hand pump.

    • What coupon do you have to bring it down to $50?

The eBay listing is now OOS.

    • +1

      No, I just bought one.

      • You're right, it's available again! Thank you.

    • I just ordered one

  • Anyone got any experience on these? can these "actually" pump car tyres?

    • I have one myself and use it for the occasional top-up when I can't be bothered going to a servo and in the off-chance I get a flat. Not as quick as compressors that are corded but given the portability, it's very convenient.

    • +1

Yep, works OK, I can top up all 5 tires in a charge, takes ~20 minutes (from ~32 up to 38 psi) - gets very hot in the hose though

Great for my bike and wheel barrow smaller stuff no worries

      • When you unscrew it off the tyre does it lose air ?

    • +1

I can top up 2 motorcycle tyres and 4 car tyres and it still has power left.

  • +1

Unless you're constantly pumping tyres this is something that you'd be better off getting a corded model so you don't chuck it in the bin in 5 yrs as the batteries are dead

    • Even a bike pump can work

  • can these be used to deflate car tires to a certain pressure?

    • +1

It comes with a needle to deflate tyres, but you can't do it with the compressor itself.

  • I'd stay away from this one personally given the small 2000mah battery size.

I have an 8000mah and use it as a powerbank as well
Theyre all over aliexpress for $45-$50

    • +1

I'd be thinking those capacity figures are both over stated, and for a lower voltage too.

  • Thanks for sharing, been watching these for a while. Hopefully handy when I need to top my motorbike up, rather than slagging the compressor out

Just ordered this one. Seems compact and bigger battery and says it got twin turbine but remember reading somewhere it says 20l/min so it'll be quicker than xiaomi one.

2 months wait for delivery though lol

Great for the bike, sports equipment etc. Will do the car but it’s slow and you’re better suited with a corded model with higher output.

  • Back in stock, just bought one
    Thanks OP
