  • How can it be 4000A? 12V/4000A=3mOhm. This 3 milli-ohm includes,3 in-serial betteries and cords and clips, and even the starter. It's beyond Ohm's law.

    • The website says 4,000A peak. Sorry, I don't know enough about electrics to comment.

      Lots and lots of eneloops!

Got one about 6 months ago for the same price. Has been great, think I've only charged it once, lost track of how many times its jump started my camry (10-20 I rkn), while I kept trying to push my dying battery. Always stored it in the car, however started keeping it in a small spare esky that I had over the last couple of months. I think everyone should have one in their car at all times, 100% worth it.

This or new version GT3000 for $169 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09CPV8GJY/?

Unless you really need the extra 1000a capacity then imho the new one. The really appealing thing about the new one is the 24 months standby time, where their older versions they advise 3-6 months standby (although I've left it longer and still started cars).

Gt3000 can do 65w pd fast charging which makes it more useful I think

  • Can this be stored in a cars' glovebox during the summer months without crapping out? I'm after one for wife & kids. Where i live, it can get VERY hot during summer and the in-car temp can be deadly hot!
I've just been hesitant to buy due to the possible damage to the actual device battery due to heat.
Can anybody please comment to advise either about this device or a better one that can withstand the summer heat in long-term storage

Mines been fine. Never been in direct sunlight though, usually bottom of rear seats or boot. Can always use some kind of small insulated container to make it more resistant to heat, but this won't stop it heating up, just slow it down. Hasn't skipped a beat.

      • Thanks for the reply! Which brand do you have/use?

        • +1

This one… Unless you mean esky, to which I have no idea. Some cheap smallish spare blue and white plastic one I had spare.

I've got some storage space under the trunk mat, around the spare tyre. That's where I hide this little thing and I though it probably would be cooler than the glove box when parking in the sun.

  • My Gooloo stopped accepting charge around 18 months, so just factor in that these are designed to only last their warranty period and then become bricks. At least according to my case and many other reviews of their products on Amazon.
