Meh. Hard to beat Ikea for kitchen taps, whatever your taste.

with a 5L per minute water consumption

That is the max? So, super slow at filling your kettle?

    • +1

Well the IKEA tap you linked is WELS 6 star rating, 3.5 l/min so even slower?

Water saving vs fast kettle filling, pick one.

Screw "water saving" in the kitchen. I do that by having a garden bore.
The first thing to do with a new 'water saving' tap is to change the aerator. Or just poke a few holes in it. (No, not remove it completely :-)

Seriously, the flow-rate is a function of the removable aerator, so it doesn't really matter what tap you buy, if it supports the standard.

Since I'm being flamed already, I'm just going so say it: Costco is good for cheap petrol, and very little else. :-)

    • So 3.5 stars for that product, seems low compared to Häfele?

How long have you had your vimmern for? I was going to purchase one last month when I was in the vicinity of IKEA, but was put off by the star rating /reviews.

  • with well thought out features and benefits for the home kitchen

Such as what compared to other taps?

with a 5L per minute water consumption.

So my sink fills slower which means my hot water heater is on for longer which means is is burning more gas and emitting more pollution compared to a tap with a higher flow rate

So my sink fills slower which means my hot water heater is on for longer which means is is burning more gas and emitting more pollution compared to a tap with a higher flow rate

That's not really how it works….

…In theory, your gas water heater only heats the water as it passes through the appliance. It would detect the lower flow rate, and would burn lower than it would if you had say multiple taps on, consuming more hot water (up to the capacity of your homes plumbing).

If your theory was true, the water coming out of the tap would be hotter when flowing at a lower rate - leading to potentially unsafe temperatures - of if we extrapolate further, your gas water heater turning your water to steam.

Not ruling it out as possible (perhaps if you have an ancient hot water system), but highly unlikely.

  • Can this reach my bumhole if I need a quick clean?

    • +2

Yes it can reach your face

    • I think I saw a deal for some shelter dogs if you’d prefer it a different way?

  • Does this really require a plumber to install?
If u don't, I assume it voids warranty? If so, that's a big added cost to the tap

    • +1

Installing a kitchen tap need a plumber to retain the warranty is something new to me
