Need a spare one just in case trying a new position :)

  • +2

Nah no good without some rim.

    +1 for description…

Worth it just for the soft close seat

    Holly Shit!

    • +9

      Who's Holly?

      • +2

A friend of Batman and Robin's.
        "Holy well-hung, dump-inducing, bowl-levitations, Batman, they're doing a clear-out!"

  • +2

Can this thing withstand hight temp? I'm considering a backyard BBQ… easy to put out the fire and easy to clean.

    • Yes ceramic can handle high heat.
Unlike glass you can immediately cool it down and it won't crack

      • +5

Ceramic's got your back when your crack goes wack with all the snacks. Gotcha.

      • +1

Unlike glass you can immediately cool it down and it won't crack

huh? It can suffer thermal shock and crack like many other things.

        • I've seen ceramic go from a kiln directly into water and it doesn't shatter.

    • are you a shitty cook?

  • +2

I think that's the one I returned. It was totally crap.

    • +4

      Doing its job well then

I know I'm not a master of the lavatorial arts.. but am I the only one who had to google what a "toilet pan" is?

That's a "toilet bowl" to me.

      • +11

Someone else's neg on your comment tells me otherwise.

        • -8

Someone else's neg on your comment means nobody knows.

        • -7

Someone else's neg on your comment tells me the same. It's the same as some people calling a shower rose a shower head

    • +5

Ngl I thought toilet pan was like a bed pan for a minute and then upon reading this

put it outside your neighbour's house and confuse them

I thought OP was suggesting leaving your full bed pan outside your neighbour's 😂

    • +1

"bowl" is the American term, like inches it's a relic from their past. In Oz the bowl was the top part of some of the older pans, but since we moved away from round pans I've not heard it for years.

    • +2

I suspect "in the industry" they are called a "pan", whereas, for the users, well, they are "bowls"

      • What happened to the good old dunny can in the bog house out the back?

      • You're not wrong, however of the thousands of people who'd contact me through a year only a few worked in the industry and I've rarely heard it called a bowl.
I'd also attribute this to the internet and a human desire not to appear ignorant. Majority of customers I'd talk to had done some research so possibly they've learnt the correct term along the way.

Anyone who paid $248 for this will have the shits.

    • +2

Those that bought it for $13.07 thinking they were getting a bargain are going to feel crap…

  • +8

    Flower pot

    • yes! fantastic idea

  • Great OP I finally found a match for my toilet paper wall .

Time to open my toilet restaurant franchise

Thank you. This killed me - All we know is that if you’re a chronic overeater, this restaurant could be the answer to your prayers.

      LOL

This is from the days before news.com.au became crap journalism and reported on real issues.

  • +3

Went to bunnings to buy one, they didnt have change for a $50, so i bought 10. Thanks OP

    • +1

Looking forward to you starting your cult

    • Pass it on mate😂

  • +2

Is this post for real or is taking the piss?

  • This is great for those times when you cant find clean public toilets. You can literally take this to a middle of the field, unbox and do your business. Its one time use as it doesn't come with a flush

  • +1

Anyone reckon can take toilet seat out and be compatible elsewhere?

    • For sure

      • +1

        Proof?

        • Majority of them are standard. If you find one in store you could look for yourself

  • +1
  • This is a shitty deal.

  • +3

Just found my new letterbox, Thanks OP!

  • +2

These are wall hung, meaning that most people will not be able to use it to replace their existing toilet. The waste pipe will need to be in the wall and not going down through the floor.

    • Not an issue with older home, a perfect upgrade instead.

  • -1

is this the entire toilet or just the plastic seat and cover?
is this something to puke over?

    • Time to get in on this porcelain bus

  • Wow!!! I wonder the profit margins retailer make!!!

    • These would be sold at a loss, or at least some sort of rebate/refund from the manufacturer.

  • Where??

  • +1

Am I the only one who PISSED because it's store specific?

  • Is this really wall hung? Looks like it is floor mount, in-wall cistern. Maybe that’s why they’re $5. Packaging error.

    Awesome deal. Quite sleek.

  • At $13.07 they cant sell it>?

  • BYO rim?

  • +1

I bought one and took it to my annoying neighbour's daughter's 21st party. I set it up secretly in their walk-in robe, doused the lamingtons with laxative and began ushering desperate guests to the "secret toilet". The best thing was that I could simply pick up the loo afterward, hose it off and get it ready for my uncle's wake.

  • +1

buy 20 and put outside every neighbour house on your street

more ideas? use as mailbox. cat litter storage. put a few ice packs and make a handy beer fridge to surprise guests

  • So for people who dont know about toilets.

You need an in wall cistern and push button wall plate.

Also plumbing kinda needs to be in the wall and you need clearance between your joists so might need some wall and plumbing modifications.

These were $7 a few months ago at my local bunnings and still not tempted to buy.

  • This is now out of stock, I bought one yesterday for the cover, if anyone wants the pan itself for free, let me know. In northern suburb near the Bunnings.

  • I have to run(s)…
