  • what are those for?

      Making light

    • if you have a google home, you can pair these smart LED strips with it, name it, and ask google to turn them on/off or change the colours

      • Thank you

What do you recommend to make you're home smart? Is Google best option? I'm in the planning stage for building!

What do you recommend to make you're home smart?

A light coloured roof pls. 10 degrees cooler in heatwaves.

          • @Techie4066: Hahahaha
Not sure about 10degreeas, but probably helps.

            • @[Deactivated]: Definitely 10 degrees professor.
Also note the urban heat island effect.

              • @Techie4066: Maybe a bit cooler but there aint much benefit as the roof will attract mould and need cleaning more. Paint then breaksdown faster. At least in the tropics…

  • Can these be connected to one another?

    • +2

You can, you need a 12mm 6 pin led strip connector (I got some in ebay for $5).

Well 10m for $ 49 seems like a better deal

    • Way better, if you want a 10 meter run. I got a couple of both.

    • both 2m and 10m are half price looking at other retailers.

  • Are these bright? I bought the Mirabella strip from a BigW deal a while back and they were so piss weak dim I trashed them.

  • What are people using them mainly for? Back of TV? Or there is any other exciting place.

      Toilet rim

Haha there you go.. Was looking for brilliant ideas and you didn't disappoint.

    • I just picked up a few for under shelf lighting. Putting in some extra shelves in the garage and under the cabinets in the bathroom for late night lighting.

Under the bed, connected to a motion sensor.

      • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    • Under kitchen cupboards to light the benchtop when my back is to the roof light.

    • Mounted behind the bed head, using Home Assistant to turn it on at sunset and off when I plug my phone in at night.

  • Will this work with Tuya smart app?

Offer ends 21 days, BUT SOLD OUT NOW, WILL BE AVAILABLE IN 22 DAYS.

  • I need to purchase LED lighting for the house in building, kitchen and around bottom of the island.

I was going to do it around the ceiling bulkhead but I don't want to over do it.

    Anyone recommend any brands?

  • I was going to get some, but it is OOS

  • +1

That is really poor LED density. 30/m?? The standard is 120/m, or at least 60. You'd definitely notice the spotty nature of the lighting

  • How are these powered? Battery or electrical point?

    Edit, got answer electricity.

  • If these are the same ones JB have on special at the moment be careful - they only seem to work on a 2.4GHz wifi, not 5.0 nor 2.4 / 5.0 combined wifi.

    • Thats normal for most smart devices.

      • 2.4 usage yes, not 2.4 only networks

        • So you mean once you set it up using 2.4 it will still only work with 5 disabled? If so there's going to be a lot of refunds on this one.

  • Just in case anyone plans on buying these Lenovo light strips - they're NOT RGBW, they're only RGB, so you can't emit true white with these. I've just received mine and they only have 3 modules per LED.
