Unless you use gift cards to pay the difference this is an unobtainable deal due to exceeding the $2,000 Afterpay limit.

    • you are right, my bad….will ask mods to unpublish this then

      • +4

It can still be purchased, but you would need to apply something like $1,050 worth of gift cards first and only after that can you enter the AFPYDY coupon.

        • fair enough, will add the comments…

may be… may be…someone could still pull this off

          good luck to that someone

          • +1

@Damnsmart: last time, I paid the minimum required up front and then went back to my afterpay account and paid off the rest immediately

        • Why $1050
          Wouldn't it only be $695?

Seriously considering this, I have $500 on eBay gift card, I can add another $200, then under $2000??

          • @Spending2Much: The AFPYDY coupon can only be applied when Afterpay has been selected as the payment method.

Afterpay can't be selected as the payment method if the price is over $2,000

            $2,995 + $55 shipping = $3,050

To bring that down to $2,000 you would need $1,050 worth of gift cards.

    Excellent deal

    • Beat me to it.

  • Damn that's a pretty good price

  • Guys
    I would like to buy
But my afterpay limit only $600
Is there any way i can still purchase more than my limit ?

    • -1

guess why they call it "LIMIT"

    • I bought ebay giftcards from the shopback app with 3% cashback to make up most of the cost and paid a small amount with afterpay so that it was under the limit

      • Can only apply $1,500 worth of gift cards to an order so with a $600 Afterpay limit that still leaves them ~$650 short.

        • $2695
Minus $1500 maximum gift card limit
Minus $600 afterpay limit, leaves $595??

          How's the $650 ?

Do I have this right? Or have I missed something obvious?

      • Instead of gift cards seem can't pay by C.C. or Paypal.

Bought this for around $3000 a couple of months ago. Have Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X hooked up via HDMI 2.1 cables.

It is absolutely stunning. If you game, get it.

    • +1

Someone who doesn't mince their words. Well said.

      • +2

        Switch don’t do 2.1

        • +1

Oh shh the other consoles do and clearly what he’s referring to. Nonsense comment

    • Same! The first time I booted up Forbidden West I was blown away! 🤯

    • Can confirm. I’ve got the PS5 hooked up to a G1 (basically the same) and everything just looks amazing on it.

    • Forza Horizon 5 look stunning on one of these tvs agree

  • I'm tempted but is it better to wait for the C2? I understand it will be more expensive.

    • C2 will be brighter but at the same time, stock will most likely be a problem given the supply chain issues

Thanks, I used the same idea here to get the LG C1 55" for $1840

    Buy $1500 ebay gift cards from ShopBack with Crypto.com Card => 3% cashback on both so $45 + $45 = $90 back.

    Afterpay coupon => $300 discount

    Total: $2195 + $35 shipping - $390 = $1840

    • +1

Good price. I should have waited to buy mine. It's getting delivered today. Missed out on the discounted price by one day. Oh well.

    • +1

Good tip, but one thing confuses me…to get the $300 AfterPay discount, wouldn't the order need to be $2000?

If you apply lots of gift cards, won't the order value drop (and the discount which is 15%)?

      • Nope, it applied the whole $300 for me despite using giftcards to lower it.

        • +1

Thanks. Didn't want to have $1500 in gcs sitting around.

I'm looking at the 55 inch at $2195.

Added GC for $195 which activated the afterpay option, but my limit is too low ($600). Was worried loading up GCs would drop the discount too ( I have seen the TV cheaper at VideoPro).

          • +1

            @WhyPayRetail: Confirming this worked :-)

I loaded up one GC to get down to $2000.
Selected pay by AP - $300 discount applied
Applied more GCs and paid remaining few $100 with AP

    Thanks OP. Bought

Waiting for the G1 for around $3,000, haven’t seen a deal on one for ages though :/

    • Yuuuup, shattered I didn't pull the trigger in November. Doesn't look like we'll get anywhere close to that anytime soon, until the G2 is out.

  • Was able to get a price match with my local good guys store and paid it with 4% discount cards all up $2640..

    • Sweeeeeet! What state and if you're okay dilvulging, which store? Was it hard to do?

      • qld tgg Bundall; the store guy tells me stock is depleting quick.. but then he is a salesman!

        • Thanks! Where did you get the 4% discount cards?

          • +1

@ActualActurary: I used redeem your gift card.

Sorry for the delay.. had a busy afternoon

@skinny: Nah no problem. For anyone reading through this conversation, I went down yesterday to Springvale and asked if they'd price match the above price. It was important, i think, to not mention I am using eBay as a reference. I had tried Brighton and Chadstone and they both denied me. I asked the springvale guys to confirm before heading out and they said they'd do it for $2,675 (I think they might've gone lower). When I got there they gave it to me and put the reason down as a general price match. After the 5% discount on the gift cards it went down to around ~$2,525.

  • Anyone know how to get past the 600 dollar limit for new accounts?

  • -1

Afterpay did not work as it said order must be less than $2,000

  • +4

    For anyone still interested,

I rang JB Hi-Fi sales (13 52 44) and they price beat this to $2600 click and collect.

I initially rang two TGG and one JB store but they all refused to price match to eBay.

I believe you can also get a further 3% by paying with gift cards purchased through shopback. (only thought of this after paying, woops!)

    • +2

Just spoke to JB and they said the best they could do is $2654.30

Here is the link for the quote

      https://imgur.com/a/FXaEMi8

      • Ah bummer, must depend on which operator you get.

        • What did you have to say to get the price match? What link did you send them?

Also, did you have to use afterpay at jbhifi or did they just match price without needing afterpay?

          Thanks!

      • Sorry, how did you get that quote? Is that from the jbhifi cart online?

What would I say to get this from jbhifi, and do you still need to use afterpay for the price matching?

        • I just called JB Hi through the sales line and the operator said they don't price match ebay and the operator who price matched shouldn't have. He knew it the LG TV before I even mentioned it so a few people must've already tried to call up.

          • @jynxx8: You should have sent them the screen shot i shared in my post

            • @Sunnyoz: Just tried calling again with a different operator and speaking to your screen shot but I think they're onto the ebay deal and can't do it again. The lowest price they currently can do is $2845.25

              • @jynxx8: Guess what to my surprise, I was just about to finalise my order and the m___f__ers increased the price for me too..ha ha now showing $2784 for me as well..

                • +1

@Sunnyoz: Oh wth… they really cracked down on it…

  • Can someone please confirm if you can install Kodi from the app stall?

    • +1

      • Cheers mate

i was quoted 2500 for new 65 C1 SA TGG

    • Any pics I might call them as well

      • i bought the a80j try hectorville

        • You bought a80j for 2500k?

        • Also in SA, got them to match your 2500 but charged delivery (55). All up 2480 using 3% gift cards! Thanks for sharing jkay :)

    • Was that including delivery?

    • Dayum, I got jibbed. Victoria Springvale did 2675 for me.

  • I have the C9. However, rtings doesn't seem to justify me selling the C9 and going for this.

  • $575 delivery from closest TGG store. Ridiculous.

Trying to find the box dimensions to measure if it'll fit in the Kluger SUV for pick up click and collect next week.

    Anyone know box dimensions??

    • Product and box dimensions are on TGG website:

      Box
      H 950mm
      W 1677mm
      D 207mm

      • Thanks
        All I saw was
        Product Height (mm): 862
        Product Width (mm): 1449
        Product Depth (mm): 251

Which I figured was the actual screen size.

  • Cheers op. Found out at the checkout that I'm limited to only $600 with afterpay, so call JB and they matched the deal. Got the C1 55" for $1895

    • Can you post a receipt? Thanks

  • +1

Got the ebay matched in store TGG. They didn't even hesitate :)

  • Thought they would have sold more at this price, only 14 according to ebay
