Dell Single Monitor Arm MSA20 (for 19"-38" Display) $161.21 Delivered @ Dell

290

Not as good as the previous deal on eBay.

But $161.21 seems to be a decent price for this monitor arm.

I missed the previous eBay deal, so grabbed one from this deal.

  • Does this work with aw3423dw?

    • Haven't tried but it holds similar 34 inch monitors so probably

    • I intend to use it with U4021QW, and found many people are using it on reddit and YouTube

My suggestion is to try your question on google and YouTube

    • There's a question on the dell site for aw3418dw, if the aw3423dw's VESA isn't any different to it then MSA20 should work too.

      https://www.dell.com/en-au/work/shop/dell-single-monitor-arm…

I used this on my S2721DGF and it fits and pairs well. Some Dell Monitors have this quick release mechanism, MSA20 and MDA20 works with this mechanism.

How is it compared to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/north-bayou-f100a

Context: My monitor is 32", I realise the DELL one can handle bigger monitor on paper. But more interested to know if it makes any difference with 32" monitor.

    • If you look at the pictures, the DELL one seems more ergonomic/smaller footprint.

      I have F100a F80 and MSA20
The MSA20 angle too limited but very fit for Dell monitor especially AW3821DW AW34XXDW
      The footprint is almost same.

For me,F100A more practical and cheap, unless you pursue Dell otherwise there's really no need.

      Hope can help you.

Thanks, I do have a dell monitor (the S3221QS). I am leaning towards F100A because it's cheaper and got the USB 3 extender too.

  • dang, not enough for the dell 49"

There’s an Aldi double monitor gaslift arm with USB hub and laptop tray for $69 (online only)

I use this, and have to say, probably the best monitor arm I have ever used, it’s very smooth and ergonomic. I have used this on the Dell 34” Ultrawide and currently use it on the 25”, no issues with weight for either. Can’t recommend it enough.

    • +1

Is it worth twice the price of the usual monitor arms tho (like the F100A mentioned in the comments, iirc pricing is 50-70$)

      • The build is excellent, the fact it can be broken down into 3 smaller sections came in very handy as we just moved, just everything about it oozed class, I have 3 other types of arms just sitting in my garage. Again, if price is your concern, then maybe not, and also if you're not using Dell monitors, then maybe not.

Are you moving your monitor every day? Definitely worth it if you do.

        • There are times I just want to rearrange my home workspace, add LED lights to my desk, things like that. With this mount and my Dell monitors, the mounting mechanism is the best thing about the stand. Soo easy to want to rearrange.

        • I am buying it because I am using a standing desk, the height and position need to adjust when standing

    • Have you used the the CBS Flo Monitor Arm, Humanscale M10 or the ERGOTRON LX HD?

I would say all of those are better than this Dell, however this may be better value for money.

    Purchased with no regrets.

FYI if you recently signed up for the Dell Member Purchase Program (possibly to get the AW3423DW for $1500), you may have an $80 coupon sitting in your inbox valid for purchases over $160.

    • Just FYI, I've tried the coupon sent to my company email. It overrides the existing discount and the price is even higher - 20% off vs 51% off from RRP.
I checked out without any coupon :)

      • Cuz it applies discount on listed price, which is the RRP. You have any idea about that $80 coupon? How to get it?

      • So mine was specifically an $80 one, and it's brought the final arm price down to $81.20.

        • How did you get it?

          • @hawkeye93: 90% sure I got it from signing up for the Dell Member Purchase Program in order to get the voucher people were using to bring the AW3423DW for $1500. I'll paste the link to sign-up below. I signed up with my work email, which it also asks for your personal email, and the coupon was sent to my personal email.

            https://www.dell.com/en-au/lp/member-discount-purchase-progr…

Edit: Just saw this at the bottom of the coupon email: "You are receiving this message because you recently made a purchase with Dell.", so I guess I got this because I bought the monitor (and was lucky enough to not get delayed, so I've actually received it)

  • The Best monitor arm!

  • Works well with my aw3821dw. Happy to have spent the extra over the Amazon etc ones.

  • Can it be used on other brand monitors? like Samsung or Viewsonic?

    • I would like to know too. Can anyone confirm?

      • +1

Yes, it comes with 100x100 VESA adapter.

  • Might be able to get cashback for this using Cheddar app. They have a 15% off sitewide link. I gave it a try anyway! It does have a note ‘exclusions may apply check merchant site for details’. Will report back if I have any luck!

    • fyi this didn't track but Cheddar honoured it. they said it was 12% though but I'm not feeling fussy.

  • The North Bayou H100/F100A is a cheaper option.

  • I have two of these and they are expensive but great build quality, tool-less , small foot print, great range of movement and look slick.

  • +1

I use this. Definitely worth it over those cheap monitor arms that’s frequently posted on OzB.

    • I agree, I had a North Bayou arm for my 34' Ultrawide, The gas lift held the monitor fine but there was a lot of bounce if you knocked the desk, The Dell arm is solid as a rock! A great buy when on sale and you can use EDU vouchers and Dell Advantage codes! I picked mine up for $92.97 earlier this year.

      • How can we get those codes?

  • Bought two, thanks op!

  • I bought this kind and found out my monitor doesn't support this kind. USELESS monitor , this kind or even me!!!!

  • Estimated arrival Jun 8, 2022

    • How did you find this info?

      • Just checked my order confirmation email, got the same date:

        “Estimated to Arrive By:
        Jun. 08, 2022”

      • You get the estimated delivery date on the order confirmation email. Mine was June 8th as well.

        • Yes I got the same. Weird as it was listed as ‘in stock’

  • Can anyone post how large the throat on the desk clamp is?

My desk has a beveled edge and I would need the screw positioned where the desk is flat, rather than angled.

  • +1

    Is it compatible with S3422DWG?

    • Without the stand it's 7.7kg and the arm supports 10kg, and already has the Dell mount at the back (no Vesa adapter needed) so it should be all good.

  • Is the link broken??

    • Just tried, the link is still working

  • Any updates on delivery?

On my order confirmation it says June 3 to be shipped. But I know on my previous Dell order last year, the quoted time was way off and my monitor came well in advance, in 1.5 weeks.

    • +1

looks like we actually gotta wait 2 months for this ._.

  • Shipped today :D
