  Good to combine this with their 'existing customer' credit card deals. Some good gift card / Qantas points offers, make sure you keep this account about a week before applying for the credit card as there has been reports if credit card application being rejected when applying too quickly after new account setup : they claim your not a real existing customer in that first week.

  finally, they've removed the account keeping fee. Only around 27 years after it's introduction.
  I wonder what the tally of lost customers might be over that time?

  BoM is a terrible bank so backwards and everything has to be done at a branch. Did it a long time ago for the sign up bonus.

    They were great until Westpac bought them, dissolved them then re-opened the brand. They just wanted the customers and so basically destroyed the entire product difference BoM used to offer. Must've been early 2000s that happened.

  Has anyone had any experience with how quick they pay this? “Approx 50 days” is a very un-bank like term and condition.
