  • So… You want me to give you my personal details for something that isn't available (yet)… and i have to guess postage?

    Right….

    • Well you can wait until tomorrow to register, when the site is swamped if you like and miss out. :)

      • Or, i can not care at all about a mobile phone stand.
I have a very advanced mobile phone… it even works when it's horizontal on my desk!

The lack of info makes me believe i have to take the postage as per your site at current: $16.95… which means this is a pretty crappy deal.

        • The description up top has been updated.

          The product is $0.00.
          The postage cost is $5.95.

          It's a wicked deal.

        • +1

          Wicked? Your opinion.
Crap product and postage is a killer, IMHO. No deal for me.

      • +4

Equivalent to lucky draw. No deal!

  • Can you tell us how many is actually free?

    • +3

      We have about 500.

  • +2

    postage trap?

  • +2

    List quantity, confirm free postage.

    Thanks

  • +1

If you look at the equivalent item in white at

    http://www.warcom.com.au/products/44032_universal_mobile_sta…

    its cost is $7.99.

Add it to your cart (don't need to login) and the delivery charge is $16.95, for a total of $24.94

    That may give some indication?

    • Not even worth it for $16.95.

      • +5

It's $5.95 which pretty much equates to.

        $3.95 to post it.
$2.00 for staff to pack it.

… Some people might even get free lollies!

        • +2

Thanks for that info warcom - that info wasn't available when I made my comment.

I would now delete or edit my post but it seems I can't - maybe because it has already been replied to.

    • We're happy to make them the same price if there is enough interest; or when we sell out of the blacks.

  • -6

    This looks like a scam

    • It's not a scam.

We're giving away products - for the cost it costs to deliver to you.

      That's … it. :)

      • In that case, pickup available?

        • +1

Unfortuantely not on this one. We'll be dispatching these from our Campbellfield warehouse

  • +3

I've bought from there before with no troubles. Although they use FastWay couriers, which are always slow.

    • +5

We'll use Auspost for these items.

FastWay … Not really an appropriate company name :)

        • +6

It was a tongue in cheek comment.

          Apologies if we've offended.

      • haha Fastway. Maybe they should change their name to SnailWay or LazyWay Couriers lol.

    • FastWay… had an incoming parcel sent using next business day delivery.

No delivery made. Online tracking shows delivered with a bogus signature. Get sender to call up FastWay who insist it's been delivered. Item shows up the next day.

Driver signed for it himself so as not to be 'late'.

      • Gods deal on the stand but a quick digression - I've had fastway dramas too. Twice had courier drivers leave the card and run when I was actually home. Had to drive out to homebush and collect as I didn't have time for redelivery the next day. Not happy. Also once a parcel from centrecom went missing but they quickly sent another out using a different courier.

      • I commend the driver for thinking on his feet and showing initiative to solve a problem :)

Warcom is a reputable seller with a good rep on Wp and OCAU. You guys can be paranoid all you want, and leave the good deals to the ones who already have an account with Warcom. Sound good ? ;)

    • +1

Exactly - those of you who already have accounts, just jump on board tomorrow!

      They'll sell out quickly.

    • +1

I'm not in the market for this toy - but I concur. Warcom are the real deal.

  • +1

Just called them. Shipping is $5:95
No price for postage on the NAS yet.

    • +2

The NAS deal will be posted later in the week :) We'll have about 20~

      • +3

Seem like good guys to deal with, very professional.

        • Cheers dude!

We hope Joey (on the phone) didn't confuse you to much - it's his first day :)

      • Im trying to convince myself i dont need a NAS….

  • -5

Ah so it's actual 17 dollars, this is not quite the bargain with price absorbed by postage. Nope, guess I will not be trading any details then.

    • +6

      … no….

      slaps forhead

The cost is: $5.95 - that's the delivery cost.

      The product price is: $0.00

So, if you order it, you pay, $5.95 -> we ship it to you.

You receive it for only $5.95 …! And if you're extra lucky, or you say something witty in the "customer comments box" during the checkout process we might even give you some free lollies!

(tell us a joke, or something!).

      • Hehe, okay okay you beat me by 18 seconds. Why not be less creative and instead simply put "item 6 dollars delivered" in your Heading. :)

        • +5

aww mate, after the day I've had. My brain is fried!

This is really just a test we're doing, but before we start launching some ripper deals.

(Bigger value, bigger discounts) - so we want to find the best way to do that.

Feedback from you guys is great; albeit very forward, hah.!

        • +1

5.95 looks like a better deal than 6!
          basic marketing 101

        • I prefer dollar dazzlers.

    • What? It's 5.95. Maybe try reading comments before negging?

  • $5.95 is hardly free

    • +2

We didn't say postage was free :) Or packing was free, or credit card fee's are free, or staff are free …

    • +2

well fix up the title! it says:

"FREE - Universal Mobile Stand …"

it's clearly not free as it costs money to get it! a more accuration description would be "$5.95 shipped - Universal Mobile Stand"

  • +5
    • Love it - smaller, lighter, cheaper (free)! And it slips into your wallet.
      Thanks.

  • -1
    • Wtf.. Paul Frank phone stand???
Well, at least you're not into hello kitty.

Why Dealextreme? You get more results if you search on eBay and probably cheaper.

    • Quite so; I'd imagine local PC fair would likely have some these if $2-bargain store didn't carry similar clutter. ('Meritline', you want in the market? ;) In no rush.

  • +5

Jeez, what's with the hostility? Bloody keyboard warriors who don't research before mouthing off. Heh, heh, heh…

Warcom and totally legit and have a very good reputation and are very down to Earth. They are quick good in helping people out too and not just taking your dollars and cutting off communication.

Thanks for the offer guys and keep them coming. Some of may not buy this time, but we do appreciate the offer anyway.

    • +1

Agreed. You guys are too quick to scream bloody murder. Relax and ask the question, then wait for a reply. So fkn hostile. shakes head

    • +6

The OzB community is becoming a bunch of cynical, paranoid and ungrateful bunch of tight wads. This rep is doing so much good to appease the haters with not much love in return.

    • +2

      You guys are awesome, seriously!

Reading these supportive comments is great.

And seriously just trying to offer you guys some decent deals. We received a decent price on thee things, so we're passing it on.

      • What do we get out of it?

We get a few new customers out of it who "might" eventually buy something. Keyword "might" .. We can only hope!

And you guys get cheap stuff! If you don't want it, please try and resist the urge to hang us from trees :)

Once we figure out how to keep all you blokes happy; it's only going to be better for the ozbargain community to, because we'll offer much better deals.

(I'm still trying to figure out the sweet spot as to what ozbargain likes)..

      • We've sold $1600 printers on here, and sold 40.
      • And we've sold usb keys and sold hundreds.

      (So there's no real pattern),

But anyway, I certainly don't want to be copping flack for posting crap deals ozbargain.

So I'm grateful for all the feedback we can get. :)

      Thanks everyone!

      • Paul.

I actually just made an account just to post this.
Keyboard warriors- GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND GO WORK IN THE REAL WORLD. Staff are not free. Postage isnt free. Businesses need to make profits, or at a very minimum break even. No company is going to do a promotion when they lose money by doing it.
Kudos to warcom for giving away a product for free- nobody sane expects you to lose money on it though.
As for everyone wanting something for nothing, go drive around and look on the side of the road for piles of rubbish to rummage through. Geez.

    • +4

True… all those things are not free.
And in general, advertising isn't free either. But lately OzB seems to become an exception

    • +1

There is this expectation of self-entitlement as a consumer and always wanting things for nothing, as displayed by a minority of users on here. Running your own business really opens your mind to the multitude of costs involved, just to exist, before you even start turning a profit. Consumers really need to be more sympathetic and supportive to the small companies who don't make billions of dollars per year and often struggle just to stay afloat.

  • A lot of anger in here ATM. I guess people get disappointed when they read "FREE" and find out that there is a charge.

I'd encourage the Rep as they are saying more and regular 'good deals' will becoming this one might not be for you but hey I'm optimistic about the future (I have a NAS but am looking for a new high end GFX card rep if your taking votes.)

The only problem I have with this is just looking at the photo I can't tell the scale of the item. Needs a second pic with a an iPhone in it (cos pretty much everyone knows how big they are, either as they have access to one or would have probably compared their phone to it previously).

  • I initially read "View your Phone from 4 different angles" as meaning "front, left, right, and from behind" and was wondering what brilliant mind would want to view their phone from the back when it was sitting on the desk. :-)

  • would this have the cajones to hold up a 10" tablet?

  • +8

Since everyone is providing constructive feedback I thought I would too.

The "Click to enlarge" brings up a smaller picture.

    • Didn't you know 1st of may is opposites day? It'll be fixed tomorrow.

  • Will you do new iPad case, screen protector?

Because of the Aus Post Office deal a lot of us bought the new iPad.

Last time I bought the special from you for the Incipio case for iPad1, very good.

  • Curious to know if this will be stable enough to support an ipad or touchpad?

  • sweet, its available to get now - got mine :D

  • IT'S ON!

    GO!

  • Not sure I need it but got one..

  • hey guys, can't access the deal. Says "call for pricing"
    No "Add to Basket" logo.

    Anyone else having issue?

    • Nevermind, I'm retarded. Just got mine :D
