Appreciate the full disclosure on the fees but why are the service fees so high? Surely PayPal, visa / Mastercard doesn’t charge you ~8% to receive a payment.

There is also no where to enter the code in the cart using iOS safari browser. Screenshot

Update - There was a step missing. You have to click ‘go to payment’ then you can apply code, not in cart.

The highest possible domestic transaction rare from PayPal is 2.6% + 30c, AND they aren't allowed to pass that onto the consumer unless they have a special agreement with PayPal…

Which they obviously don't considering that the largest retailers in Australia don't, and may get their account shut down for PayPal for misrepresenting

  • thank you, bought

  • seems suss - this a legit site???

I've purchased games digitally from there with no issue.

  • My kids have a PS5. Me: clueless.
I purchased 3 years of PS Plus just so they are sorted for awhile. I did hear news of this 'GamePass like' subscription service headed this way for PS.

Anything I should be doing to load up further on things like this post to get a better version of what's to come? I don't understand what's coming but it sounds like having having the PS Plus membership extend far into the future may be of benefit before it gets here. Or not. Any advice much appreciated.

  • It would carry over from PS4 to PS5?

Yessir, if you're logged in to the same account

    • As in the credit, then yup it is on your account and can be spent on PS4 and 5 as you want back and forward

  • Can I use this credit in the PS store (i.e to buy a game)? Thanks

    • +1

That's what it is intended for… you can buy anything from the PSN Store for the PS3, PS4 or PS5.

  • PayPal seems to be $43+ even on cards that don't charge the international conversion fee. Weird. A bit hesitant using my credit card to pay but hopefully won't be stung by additional fees or have my details stolen lol

  • Thanks!
Just got it and it works :)

  • Thanks, I got two, redeemed straight away with no issue.

  • Thanks needed a discount on the new starwars

  • $85.88 for 2 at PayPal's conversion rate: 1 AUD = 0.65045 EUR, basically save about <$15, hmmmm.

    • Was the same for me, changed it to credit card payment and the price I paid went down to $80.89 for 2.

  • Hold on a second…

Let's put aside the fact that PayPal prohibits merchants such as you from passing their fee onto consumers…

If you have the highest PayPal rates they are charged you 2.6% + 30c per transaction, which in the case above is $1.27

Likewise, if you are processing cards through Stripe of the like it is 1.75% + 30c

Completely misleading. Doesn't inspire me with confidence if there are any customer service issues
You are charging 3 times this at $3.63

    • Yeah, it seems wrong. You're being slugged the "service fee" of ~$3 or so, then some other fee, go to PayPal for another ~$3 or so fee, and if your credit/debit card charges an international conversion fee, expect a 2.5-3% fee (roughly $1.20ish) on top of that to appear later.

Seems the cheapest way to get the card/code is to not use PayPal and risk using your credit card on the site and then you'll likely get it for under $41, but may be slugged the conversion fee by your bank.

  • Just bought 4x $50 cards for about $161. They all redeemed no issues thanks OP!

  • For current PlayStation Plus subscription, will that be converted to PlayStation Essential tier in near future? Is it better to wait for Australia tiers revealed before adding more PlayStation Plus ?

      Rep, any US discounts?

      • Same!!!

      • Hey,

Discount codes are usually region-locked for the same country (safety measures, won't get into it here), so highly likely that we will not have any US PSN discounts to offer here.
Nonetheless, you might find a good deal and save on the gift card without a discount code sometimes (just make sure you check the final price at checkout (with service fees included)).

        Cheers,
