The amount is always targeted, its always based on Coles making you spend more then you normally do.

    • This one isn’t too bad compared to the others

    • +3

      than…

      • and then?

  • +3

I got this exact deal. Thanks OP.

  • +2

    $60 for me

    • Slap!!

I received an offer for $170 spend each week for 20,000pts ($100).

    • +4

      That's terrible.

I'd send it back and complain…

    • Could be worse
      10000 points for $170
      Or
      20000 points for $220

      • +4

Trick to reduce min spend : Don't use the account for sometime and then they start giving you good offers.

        • +2

100% correct! The same with everyday rewards, create multiple accounts and play the waiting game!

      • +5

You really are playing the game wrong to get spend bonus offers like this.
Get a card for each member of the family and never spend more than $50/ week on each one. Plenty of weeks when there is no special don't put anything through the Flybuys.
I have just opened our offers and have 1x$60 + online bonus and 2x$50 offers. So $160 weekly spend for four weeks for 34K points. Usually spend about $120/week but with Easter and that it will be easy. After this round I will just shop Woolies/pick up small amounts at Coles using Flybuys to keep the offers down for the next round. Bonus offer in Feb/March was the same amounts, but no online bonus.

Great advice, I fully wish to do it this way, and do have multiple accounts, but gets tricky with uninterested spouse and also Coles Plus subscription (which they have accidentally given me 5 free months) so I'm taking advantage of free deliveries through that at no cost

          • +5

@cook99: You need to do something about the uninterested spouse.
There is plenty more fish in the deli.

        • +1

My secret is to reject and ignore all points bonuses where you have to spend more than $50. I just don't use my card over $50 it's pointless. They keep lifting it bit by bit to get you to chase. I won't do it. $200 spend for $50 back is all I want.

    • So did I…Ignored it as my online order deliveries usually have a massive amount of out of stock items. Woolworths is much better stocked for online shopping…

  • Mine was $130 x 4 spend.

  • +1

Damn , haven't been given this offer so far this time.

    • +1

Recieved offer now, the fave, $50 x 4 weeks for $50 of points , and in typical OZB mode will purchase all the non perishable 1/2 price goods each week plus the milk that would normally purchase anyway.

      • +4

Yup, this is why when Covid hit we had plenty of TP and cleaning products.

        • Same, had a 20% discounted stockpile at home before shelves went empty

          • -1

@Fobsessive: I usually go for the 50% stuff :). It did take the heat of the “panic button”. However, I had a bunch of old telephone books if it got too bad :)

  • Got this one as well.

  • +1

    50 as well, nice 👌

  • I just got that exact offer as well! I have just finished/earned a 3 week spend $70 for 6000 points so didn't think I would get this one. Also have another collect 2,000 points for a $70 spend tomorrow - bonus.

  • I got 10,000 points for a $300 spend……

  • !0,000 points for 4 x $110. No thanks. I barely spend $50 at Cole's fortnightly.

    • How do you live on 50 a fortnight?

      • +1

Shop at Aldi too. I only use Cole's for their delivery when they have enough of what I want on sale.

  • $60 for me, seems telling me that I’m spending too much on them. (Although not as high as others there)

  • +2

10,000 points for 4 x $50 plus 1,000 points for each shop done online.

    • +2

I usually wait until later in the week to see if they give some bonus stuff as well. Sometimes they kick in another 1000/2000 points if you go to $70. They seem to stack.

      • Yes, they do stack. I will get another 4,000 points in the first week. Also, one time when I was doing these 4-week deals, on the first week there were items OOS so I did not meet the spend requirement. Then I kept getting the weekly offers for the remaining weeks. When the 4 weeks ended I emailed them with copies of the orders and received the 14,000 points for 4 weeks offer and points for all the one-week offers.

        • Nice one.

        • +1

Flybuys offers stack if they do not contain the following clause in the offer’s terms and conditions:

This offer is not in conjunction with any other bonus points offers.

I recently received a 20x points offer on Coles-branded Australian pork from the meat department (which had the clause above), as well as a 5x points offer on any meat from the meat department (which did not have the clause above). Both offers were valid for use in-store, but when I purchased a Coles-branded leg roast of pork in-store, only the 5x points offer was applied to my purchase.

When I contacted Flybuys over the phone about the 20x points offer not applying, the rep pointed out the clause above as the reason. I pointed out that the 20x points offer started and finished within the period the 5x points offer was active, and complained about being sent an offer that was essentially unobtainable, but the rep basically responded with “my apologies, you were sent the 20x points offer in error”. Unsurprisingly, I was not manually credited any points from the 20x points offer…

You rarely see this clause in Flybuys offers, but it is something to keep an eye out for.

          • +1

@WookieMonster: I had the 20x offer and all spend. It's was awesome! Got me 12k points that week.

  • I haven't got one of these offers in ages. Mine is $130 a week for 10,000 points or $180 a week for 20,000 points. Both offers are for min spend for 4 weeks.

Both offers are too high for us because we only spend max like $80 or so a week at Coles. So we won't be activating it this time.

    • +2

If you activate and shop your normal amount, algorithms will detect that you can't spend that much. Next time it will send an offer with less amount. Trick algorithms

      • +2

Or multiple accounts with Coles and Woolworths and don’t use one for a while and the offers on that account will improve. Keep different accounts barcodes in Stocard or similar and use the one with best offer.

    • …. we only spend max like $80 or so a week at Coles.

What is your secret for only spending $80 on a weekly grocery shop?

      • +1

Get a partner whose job is head chef!

  • +1

I love it how some of these 4 week spend deals coincide with a separate additional offer for wk1, if you spend on the weekend. So your first ‘spend week’ is 10 days (Fri-Sun) and there’s often a prior deal for that week that ends the same weekend as the 4 week deal starts. So if I spend this weekend $140, I get 2k points (separate offer) and it qualifies as my first week’s shop for this promo ($90 or more for 4 weeks in a row).

    • +4

If you activate the Wed-Fri and Sat-Tue deal and shop on Friday afternoon before the Sat offer you can get both points from both offers. I have done this many times.

      • +1

        Yep same

You usually get a 20% back offer
Combine it with the sat offer for another 20% deal

        End up with 40% back

      • +1

I have experienced that once but didn't know why. Thanks for the tip!

  • Thanks OP. I disabled the notification emails so easily miss these offers.

No love for me this time, last time was $120 min.

  • damn i have negged jv to much for one day i was tried to do it again for that YouTube link

    • No worries, I negged him.

  • can you just buy gift cards?
    .. ah no.

  • Yeah I got this activated now

  • My offer is to choose one: $190 each week to get 10000 points. Or $240 each week to collect 20000 points.

  • +1

$60 for me, previous offer was way too high min spend so I didn't complete it.

  • +4

Man I'm getting stitched up… 3500 bonus points if I spend over $300

  • 10k points ($50x4 weeks) + 4k points( 4 weeks must be online purchases)

  • Mine is $120 for 10,000
    Or
    $170 for 20,000

  • how do you track it - or do you get reminders ?

    • +1

for the 4 week ones, you will get a note on your receipt like "week x of 4 week acheived", then you know you are on track, or download the flybuys app, it shows in the offer tab.

      • I always shop Friday afternoon.

    • Calendar reminders work

  • +1

I have spend $50 for 10,000 points and if I include $10 worth of coles brand products in the $50 spend I’ll get an extra 1,000 points!

  • Am I the only one who didn't get a spend 4x $X for YYYY points offer?

I got 1000 points for $50 a couple days ago though that I've activated & not used yet.
Haven't shopped at Coles since mid Feb unless petrol at Coles Express counts

    • +1

same here. have not got that offer for months

    • +1

Best not to activate till ready to use. Unlike Woolies do not need to activate 2 hours before shopping.

      • Didn't realise they send you different offers if you don't activate it. Thanks for the tip!

  • No offer for me

  • +2

do you know if i ordered $50 online, but some items are no stock when i pickup/delivery. will this count 1 transaction?

    • I'll find out as I ordered something just past midnight to pick up today that's missing something that drops my purchase to below $50. :(

Ideally, they'll honour it because it's not my fault, but who knows from a company that claims using flybuy dollars counts as a discount instead of payment…

      • Yes, they do honour it but you need to call or email them. I have used flybuy dollars to pay for my shops on many occasions and received offers on them. I think it is treated as a payment.

        • +1

          payment method.

        • +1

That was my understanding as well (about flybuys dollars). Worked like this for aaages.
Until I was on chat with them a few months ago and they told me bonus wasn't honoured specifically because I used flybuy dollars to pay a bit, but they would credit the points as a one off.
Makes no sense to me, but that's what I was told. Maybe my agent was just BSing. lol

      • -1

flybuy$ is a gift card, i think you can only allow to use cash or credit/debit for those event. :P

        • +1

nah, gift cards can be used in store and it'll still count towards bonuses.

  • Mine is $90 per week

  • +1

I'm on last week of Woolies 4weeks promotion then coles promotion just kicked in starting next week with only $50 minimum spending which came down from $90
    Great deal!

  • Waste more money to same some money

  • +1

    This is a first.
Just completed a $120 per week /4 weeks shop, now mines actually DROPPED to $80 pw.

  • Just checked my Flybuys account. Nothing for me.

  • +2

I'm getting kind of tired of the necessary follow-up on all of these deals. Nearly every time I place an order that exceeds the spend threshold, some items (usually the more expensive ones) are out of stock and no substitutions are available, even for things like 1kg of coffee beans. Consequently, I end up failing to meet the minimum spend from Flybuys' perspective and then have to go through the arduous process of getting their customer service team to credit the points manually. I'm beginning to wonder if this is strategic on their part since they figure a certain percentage of customers won't bother due to the hassle.

    • I agree it’s impossible to do when shopping online, too much is out of stock these days! Years ago, I had a ‘spend $100, get $x back’ deal with Harris Farm when paying with AmEx. I placed an order, something was out of stock and they rang me to see if I wanted to add something instead because they noticed I was paying with my AmEx and just came under the spend threshold. Such good customer service!

    • +1

I email them with sc of the offer, activation, and a copy of the order with OOS items. It's pretty much a proforma. They reply usually within a week. Never failed. Saves waiting on the phone and then being asked to email a copy of the order anyway because the flybuy people cannot see the orders on Coles.com. Woolies online chat is much better and can see your orders and resolve the issue. Also, many Woolies offer you get credited points when you order and this does not alter if OOS. The best way to think about this is that when items are OOS you receive a bigger discount.

      • how do you send a screenshot of the activation? The one I want isn't in my expired offers section. Definitely activated it, though.

        • I take the screenshot at the time of activating and also note the time. If you activated and used it then it would not be in the expired section. Have a look at the receipt/invoice, if it's a 4-week deal they sometimes state Congratulations you have completed week x.

@Yola: Not with Flybuys but we had a cute thing happen with Costco.

When they have something on special, like in the scratch and dent area or a last stock deal, I, usually, take a photo to show the cashier. Especially when the old price is crossed out and the new price written in. At one register the cashier rang up the wrong number and we pointed out the price was incorrect and showed him the photo. He looked at it and said “the price code shows for January”, which I assume was the original price. We said, “yes, but I took that picture 5 minutes ago”. He got the manager and, manually, changed the price. We made a point of saying to the guy it wasn’t his fault that the system hadn’t been updated so we were cool about what happened.

Just something to keep in mind.

          • @Yola: Ahh, I didn't take the screenshot when I activated the 1k points for $50 spend. Just annoyed because they're obviously pushing for online orders with the current promotion, but obviously not taking into account that some online orders are missing at least a couple of items. Or they have and want people to overspend to account for it.
I've just sent them the info I have and waiting to see what they're gonna say. I don't think this is worth the uncertainty to bother with the rest of the 4 weeks right now (assuming that they come back with a "we'll honour it" answer)

            • @patryn: Most likely you will not get the answer in time. When I have this happen I just continue all the weeks and email after. Always successful but I have all the details I listed.

  • 180 4 shops 10000 here

  • +1

Also I find if I goto Coles and don't use my flybuys for a month the deals get way better.

    • Get more accounts and still get points and good offers.

  • +2

    I've got 2x(2000 bonus on $90) + 10000 + 4000(online bonus - 1000 per week) spend $60 a week for 4 weeks. I normally don't bother but I can't miss this stacking opportunity!
Problem is I struggle to spend $60 at coles, let alone $90, or $330 in a month!
I also have 5x points on pasta, maybe I'll just buy $90 of pasta for my dogs haha.
Oh god, I just noticed, there is $20 off $250 spend. $250 pasta! Code for that is BUNNY

  • I have 2 flybuys accounts and only one of them received this offer.

  • Got this 3 weeks ago, now the amount has gone up to $80/week.

  • +1

weird - I usually get this offer but this is the first time it hasnt appeared for me. Flybuys must be onto us! lol
