Microwave for under $70 delivered. $10 cheaper than last time a few months ago.

    Can anyone confirm this is a good microwave ? I had the aldi one which started rusting within less than a year. And is the same price in-store or online only deal ? A lot of time the in-store price is cheaper.

      Choice magazine gave it 77%. Didn't make the recommended list.

      Good points

      • Very good cooking performance score
      • Excellent result for defrosting mince
      • Fairly comprehensive instructions
      • Written functions for controls easy to comprehend
      • Sealed touch controls easy to wipe over

      Bad Points

      • Only OK for ease of use
      • Touch controls are ok to use can be confusing, need to refer to instruction booklet initially when using controls
      • Controls are not grouped together well, stop and start button are not obvious, no colour contrast
      • Stainless steel strip shows smudges and require extra cleaning attention
      • Some cracks and crevices on the exterior can trap residue
      • Multi-step process needed to access some functions
      • Failed result for melting chocolate using melt chocolate setting may not be suitable for heating sensitive foods

    700w for a microwave is pretty weak. Will take ages to heat food

      It is small and weak but I guess for the price you have to make sacrifices. Maybe good for the right situation.
