  • that's all time low?

  • -7

    waiting for $2K

    • +4

      Lol in 3 years maybe

      • -6

        will see

    • +3

It’ll completely sell out of stock long before this price point ever happens. Same thing occurred with the B1.

  • +11

Since Sony's student promotion, these seem high price.

    • +1

      Agree, $4k seems more reasonable.

    • +6

Well Sony is sold out so technically that deal doesn't exits anymore. Also I'm bitter I missed out

      • +1

Me too, waited too long for approval from the Board of Directors (ie, my wife)….

        • +6

You need to fire the board and get some new Board of Directors.

          • +10

@BuyOrNot: That'll cost you more than the tv i'm afraid.

        • -5

You need to wear the pants.

Sick of hearing people needing permission from their wife.

          Grow a pair.

          • +14

@abc12345: Since you asked, I will provide context to my comment. I was in the field for work this week and didn't get around to talking to my partner till the evening of the Sony student discount. We had a catchup chat and she said go for it. I wasn't keen on making a 4 grand decision on my own for a fancy tv we can live without in our financial circumstances. Do I regret not getting an epic deal on an OLED tv, yup. Do I regret my decision making process, nope. I was just making light of my circumstances following on from @jaygee's regret as well. To sum it up I'm perfectly happy with the pair I have.

          • +1

@abc12345: You mean the minister for finance or she who must be obeyed lol
Embarrassing hearing men say that I get it with customers with work all the time.
Wish I could say grow some.

            • +2

@[Deactivated]: Would you be ok if your wife came home with $4,000 worth of shoes without letting you know first?

Everyone’s finances are of course different… for some $4k is a drop in the ocean and for others all their available savings or money for other commitments.

              • -2

                @marcoakis: put your pants on

        • -3

Getting permission from the wife… get told this story all the time

  • -1

This + solar panel = perpetual energy

  • After last week's Sony deal this is average.

  • Ah man where was this yesterday 😂

Good guys onsite price match would have picked this up?

  • What happened to sub 1k TVs?

    • +4

      You mean 720 or 480p?

      • -6

Not really. I got Sony 4k last year
        65 inch for 1099

        • +9

Not all TVs are created the same. It’ll be a pretty low spec one.

        • +13

          sub 1k

          Oh okay

          1099

    • +2

      Black & white or colour?

      • Lol. colour

        • +1

Just messing. These OLEDs are pretty much the top quality you can buy in terms of TV technology.

          • -2

@m0usju1c3: Yaa that's true. They do look great in store. Not sure about home content though

    • +1

why not free with a box of cereal?

      • Yaaa, why not

  • Hodling for 65 inch at 2500ish

    • -3

      Thats holding not hodling

  • videopro at $4,880 + $300 gift card is still better than this.

    • +2

Only if there's something you need with a $300 gift card. Like if you just need a tv and nothing else, this is better money wise.

    • +3

Not when you factor in shipping.

  • +3

Good price but was cheaper a couple of days ago with the CashRewards deal.

    • Got that, so fingers crossed the cash back shows up soon 🤞

      • +1

My cashback is scheduled to be ready on 11/07. Got $544.90 comin back.

        • +1

          good luck

          • @[Deactivated]: No luck needed. Just need to wait and then transfer the money back to my account. Done it many times before and this met all the conditions of the offer.

            • +1

              @The Fuzz 83: sure thing

        • When did you purchase? Just wondering if I should be seeing it as pending by now.

          • +1

@a22andrew: I purchased on Thursday morning and it appeared as pending straight away. Even before I got my order confirmations from TGG.

  • +1

I got mine for $4500 after bargaining at the boxing day sales. It can still drop further imo. It could probably go down to $4000 before imminent C2 release.

However, it may be that stocks are almost depleted. The C2 should retail around the same price as C1, so it depends if you are willing to take the risk for the return.

    • +1

Yeah, if it ever gets close to $4000 the remaining stock wont last very long.

  • +1

It was $44xx with TGG after 12% cashback offer from Cashrewards 2 days ago.

  • How does this TV LG C1 77" OLED77C1PTB compare with Sony 77A80J in terms of quality and sound?

    • -5

      picture sony wins easy
      sound sony wins
the only thing c1 wins the the slightly faster response time and input lag in which the lg wins against all sony

    • +1
    • +5

Picture is slightly better on the Sony due to their processing. Slightly better motion. You can really only notice if they're put side by side.
Gaming is not even close. The LG has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports whereas the Sony only has 2 (1 if you need the eARC port). The LG has extensive gaming features. If you don't want to game on the TV then just go for whichever you can get cheaper as you'll be happy either way.

      • +2

Thank you great feedback @The Fuzz 83 and @cacique

  • +3

    bing lee has listed some c2 & g2, here's an idea of rrp pricing: lg c2 55" $3395, lg g2 55" $3995 ,

    • Anyone remember the launch RRP for the c1 and g1 55”?

      • +1

To (partially) answer my own question, the 55" C1 launched at $3295.

    • +1

JB Hifi have full C2 and G2 pricing listed online now

      77" C2 comes in at $7995!

  • RDY4ME, you asked me to remind you about good deals on this one…

  • Got one less than a week ago. Now price is $260 less. Does this store offer price guarantee?

  • -1

Lol I can't believe the votes in this …

  • +1

Myer has this listed at $4989, perhaps see how much the cash back ShopBack will offer tomorrow.

  • -3

The Sony A80 is generally more expensive in the US by 200-300, can check on Bestbuy. Therefore the Sony A80 deal last week for a little under 4100 would show this should be just under 4000 to be a good deal I'd say.

  • -2

    Does it make coffee

  • +2

Cheaper at Myer with 12% cashback through SB later today at 10am if you are within their delivery area. I would pull the trigger quick I'm sure many are thinking to do the same

Price ends up being $4,526 delivered (delivery fee of $75, CB excludes GST).

    Link to tv

    • This was gone mins in

  • +1

Another option for next 1hour or so is the Myer 77 inch c1 at just over 4500 with cash back. Delivery for me $75
