This is pretty cheap for this wireless charging mousepad.

Quite pricey for that novelty of wireless charging. Some will see that its worth it.

I've been using mine for about 2 years now. so good not to worry about charging the wireless mouse!

    • Which is the compatible mouse?

      • +4

G703, G903, G PRO. They're the ones I'm aware of but may be more now

        • +4

G502 is also compatible. I had been using it on mine for over an year now. No issue at all.

    • +1

I guess it depends how often you need to charge your mouse. Only my gaming mouse works with this system and I don't use the gaming mouse much. Maybe if both of my mice worked with it I would think more seriously about getting this.

      • +5

Yes, up to individual. Personally $135 is a bit too much for the convenience.

        • I use my G Pro for work and I reckon I barely charge it once a week, probably more like once a fortnight.

My damn wireless headset is a random number between 2-5 days.

          I still don't understand why everything isn't USB C though…

The mouse was like a 2020/21 model FFS

          • @Telios: Choices I guess. Some people still have lots of micro-USB charging cable instead of USB-C. My work wireless mouse is using one AA battery, which I am using the rechargeable Ni-MH AA battery (every OzBargain member should have plenty of spare Eneloop AA batteries lying around, if you are truly a member here). My personal preference.

    • my G604 is still working on the original AA battery it came with

G hub reports 50% after months

      just saying

Big fan of this, have had one for several years as well, aside from never ever having to charge my wireless mouse, it's also the way my mouse connects to my PC, having gone through hot swappable batteries or having to go corded intermittently, this slaughters all of those options imo.

  • Just charge your mice normally, not like you have to do it every day. 135 is Artisan/Skypad mousepad level of expensive for a low tier mousepad, not worth it.

    • +1

It's overpriced but a charging dock is almost essential for heavy wireless users. Don't want to bother with plugging it in all the time, may as well just get wired.

      • Correction: for heavy wireless RGB users.

Found my G903 lasted ages in the past but with RGB on I was charging every second day with WFH. But I’m still not going to spend $100+ to charge it wirelessly.

    • +1

I use an artisan over the top of this, works fine and best of both worlds

      • Are you using an XL pad? They are significantly larger than most non-deskmat surfaces (i.e. g440)

        • yeh i am but i dont generally go off the base surface ever so i dont even notice theres another layer underneath

  • -4

Spend $30 bucks on a third party dock unless you are a fan of small overpriced mouse pads wasting space next to your useable mousepad.

    • +1

You can basically use any mouse pad on top of this, you're not bound to the ones that come included

      • my current mouse pad is a piece aluminium.. so i reckon that might interfere :)

  • -8

Just use Wired - more reliable and it's not like you're not walking 10m away from your computer?

    • +3

Easier to do crispy headshots without a wire

    • Where were you and your logic when they were inventing wireless technology?

  • Also had mine for a few years and couldn’t go back! Highly recommend if you wanna pay money to make your problems go away haha!

  • +10

Id rather buy 2 of the same wireless mouse and pair them both to the computer. When one runs out of battery put it on charge and switch to the other immediately . Wont be much more than this dock but 2 mouses will double its lifetime… thats more useful to me than this dock until prices of these wireless pads come down.

This idea sounds silly but it actually isn't. If the charger is nearly the same price as the mouse get two mice and one will always be charged. Brilliant!
Even one of Logitech's most expensive mice, the G Pro, was on sale the other day for $137 so about the same price as this charging mouse mat.

I have used the razer hyperflux for years which worked great but had one downside. You can't put metal objects on or near the charging mouse mat as "they may interfere with the magnetic field and power transfer between the mat and the mouse." It sounds simple enough until you have kids leaving things on your mouse mat or your mac laptop gets a bit close to the mouse mat.

      • it's not silly. I do this as well (multiple mice). the only drawback is that battery dying at the point in time you needed it in a long gaming session. so there is a little bit of awareness on the current battery level required.

    • Lol that's what I do, 2x g502s set up the same just in case one dies or starts to get the double click syndrome which has plagued me.

    • I hadn't considered that. Not a bad idea given the longevity of their mice.

  • My G903 lasts like 3 weeks before I need to charge it but even then it has a good charge cable that's better than most wired mice so you barely notice it.

    • +1

Get this mousepad, trust me you don't want to go back to having to worry when the mouse will run out of battery, when you need to plug it in, and when you need to unplug it ever again. I am using g903 too.

Cant fault the powerplay pad, have 2 of them. Good price, nice find.

    • Yep I've got 2 sets of powerplay pad + Logitech G903 on my 2 PCs. One for work the other for play. The peace of mind is awesome.

  • +1

Can you toss your mobile phones on this bad boy to juice it up?

  • +1

Bought at $159 have 2 but no longer use them. I find it’s pointless and still cluttered with the wire to charge it.

  • +1

using it with the g pro wireless. Absolutely love it, wouldnt go back to anything else

  • So no gaming mouse is taking any eneloop battery?
    That would be the way…

    • you would like a integrated lithium mouse, external batteries weigh the mouse down a lot (unless you like heavier mice then that's fine)

    • +1

The G603 does, I have one. It has BlueTooth and LightSpeed as well. They're a bit heavy with the batteries, but they last months and months before needing to be replaced

    • Some take replaceable batteries, but most wireless mice have integrated lithium batteries.

  • I need a bigger mouse pad, this would be too small for my arm aim , also cheaper option is to get magnetic USB C inserts for charger and mouse , just a quick clip to charge overnight is not that hard ……each to their own I guess

  • I've owned this pad for long and it has brought my wireless experience to the next level since I had it. Can't go back any more.

  • Will wait for the day logitech release qi compatible mouse with qi charging mousepad like what Corsair does instead of this pricy proprietory hardware.

Until then Im comfortable with my RVU with the charging dock. Just plop it down every night on the dock to charge and I dont feel like its a bother at all imo at less half the price compared to a GPW + Power mat combo. The fact that this alone is more expensive than an RVU with dock, and this being only $5 away from historical low says a lot about how overpriced it is compared to its competitors.

  • can I use multiple mouse on the pad at the same time?

  • I am tempted but I only charge my mouse once per month, and the reason I got a wireless mouse is so I didn't have to have wires running over my desk.

  • I do enjoy my powerplay mat my kid plays the PC during the day and me in the evening so it gets a good workout.

Got a G915 wireless keyboard as a warranty replacement for an orion spark and was hopeful that the dongle would be compatible. Alas with all their technologies having one compatible dongle for all their G Series devices would make sense. Now I have three separate ones (including the one built in to the mat).

Almost as annoying as the G13 Gaming pad not being compatible with logitech g-hub, loved that pad now its gathering dust.

  • Have this. It is great. Also it replaces the dongle and makes sure 100% zero wireless interference since the receiver is built into the side of the pad. Great price and good find OP

  • Before being gifted one, I thought it was a pointless novelty. It's not until you have one that you realise how much of a difference something as small as not charging makes. It's like going from wired to wireless.
Hard to explain until you actually have it. It's a seemingly small and pointless thing that ends up being something you can't go without.

Honestly recommend this item, great to have for your wireless mouse (GPro)
Cannot fault it and definitely worth the price!

  • I'll wait for one that can charge my mobiles and smartwatches as well. Unless im missing on something, come on, the tech is there…
