Hey guys. So happy to get this over the line with the folks at Lenovo. 20% off sitewide with code TA-20-OFF, includes laptops, monitors, accessories, software, drones, etc. Deal runs for 24 hours only, and ends 10:59am AEST tomorrow (Saturday). Excludes all Motorola products.

Use Cashrewards for a flat 10% cashback uncapped on your purchase via this link.

Important - codes are not stackable - only one code can be applied in cart. There may be instances where other onsite codes such as CLEARANCE, THINKEDGE etc may get a better discount on a certain product. Unfortunately my code won't stack with them, so obviously use the code that best works for you. The non-stacking is out of my hands (sorry).

Lenovo TA codes are exclusive to Cashrewards (any issues, lodge a claim after 7 days via your click history and we'll take care of it). For tracking success however, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc) and VPNs, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Or better still, use the Cashrewards mobile app.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and happy Easter. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

      • Ohh dear. That's concerning.
Though maybe it's just the dGPU?

This is pretty much identical spec, but 5900hx.
        https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Yoga-Slim-7-Pro-14ACH5-…

        • Thanks, that was the article I meant to link.

No the dGPU is off at idle. The OLED screen consumes a fair bit more power at the same brightness as an IPS display as mentioned in the article.

    • I don't understand this laptop. What is the point of a Yoga without touch and pen capabilities?

      • -1

Slim and compact with a lot of good hardware packed inside?

  • +6

    The 3080 legion 7 is 3.2k or 2.8k with the cashback…

    just.***ing.crazy

Can we make another post for this great deal because wow it deserves its own post for certain

and yes before anyone point out the 3080 omen post the legion 7 is objectively better than the omen (panel quality, build quality, battery life, extra RGB, numpad keys & port selection-omen have no numpad and less ports with a larger chasis) to deserve the extra 200$ or so

    • +1

Oh and nearly forgot, for maximum bargain do not get the 32gb ram upgrade from lenovo. you can get your own kit for much cheaper-upgrading it yourself will not void the warranty and you can sell your stock ram for a bit of additional $$$

      • Hi Brrrrt,

Do you mind sharing the link to the additional ram and where you feel it's best to sell the original lenovo ones?

        • +1

For the ram upgrade, as long as you get 2*16gb 3200mhz sodimm kits (or buy two of the same 16gb stick) it will be fine. I cant find any good deals atm but it will net you around 200 aud give or take, the cheaper ones can be acquired from amazon us via amazon au, or you can get them from local shops or ebay-especially if you have coupons.

Theres kits with either 1.35v or 1.2v, the 1.35v ones may have slightly better timings but it wont matter in the grand scheme of things and im not certain if the legion 7 supports 1.35v xmp so to be on the safe side I would just stick with 1.2v kits.

As far as selling them, either ebay or gumtree/facebook, of course ebay charges a fee but you are probably gonna be able to sell it much quicker-heres the sold listings

    • now this is a deal!

  • Was keen on the M14 Portable Monitor, but the link on their page seems to be broken (Loops back to the main monitor page)

  • Do we know why new Gen 10 X1 Carbon models are unavailable?

    • +1

It went unavailable a couple of days ago.
Same with gen 7 x1 yoga

I think to prep for this deal as they are both brand new releases

      • Shame there's no independent reviews for either yet! The discount would've pushed me into buying it however

  • Can anyone recommend which one should I go for a laptop with pen?
This is for my daughter primary usage would be for school and little gaming.
    Thank you

  • What's the other differences between Legion 5 & Pro besides the screen? Build quality? Worth to pay more for the pro if always run via external monitor.

    • +1

What's the price difference you're looking at? I ended up grabbing the Legion 5 Pro with 5800H & 3060 for $1648.08 after cash back. Actually ridiculous for the build quality + amazing screen. 500 nits @ 2560 x 1600 resolution.

Ships in 2 days as well, can't complain at all with that value!

      • ships in 2 days or in 8 weeks?

      • Legion 5 Pro with 5800H & 3060

        Tracked I'm 5 mins

$1648.08 x30% salarysacrifice FBT exempt employee claim

        $567.67

        $1,080.41(Total cost)

        Cheers OP!

        • How do you put forth a salary sacrifice claim on the laptop?

        • What if you just tax deduct it vs salary sacrifice? What are the numbers then?

          • @MrBillions: Not an accountant but Salary sacrifice let's you also claim the GST back via the employer so an extra 10% not all employers do mine does

So technically it's a bit under $980 all said and done at my tax rate

FBT year run March to April and you can claim 1 device a year

  • Anyone have any experience with the tablets? Considering the Samsung A8 WiFi for the kids.

  • Would be great if Legion 7 AMD was available.

    • +1

stocks for last gen machines will run out sooner or later. I say just go with the 7i, its just such a good price. The legions support PD charging so I dont really think intel's low battery life too big of an issue.

  • can the keyboard rainbow be turned off on the legion? it's a bit too kiddy for me

    • +1

of course. you can turn it off or change it to any rgb colour you like.

I dont have a legion but mines also rgb, and whenever i take it out i have the keys set to white backlight and apart from being a bit bigger than your usual 14' office laptop it doesnt stand out at all.

  • The code does not work on NZ store.

  • I just checked ive had my Lenovo Yoga 900 - i7 512GB SSD Orange since 2016 :) its been great, maybe when i specced it back then it was decent, but probably looking for an upgrade…. or sidegrade, for me though I got this laptop for a couple of reasons, slim, light, great battery and quiet, something that I can carry around for movies etc - probably have the need for a replacement soon. Not sure if I should just go with another yoga…

  • This is great deal. Thanks OP.
I'm thinking of buying a Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14" AMD + Jabra Elite 75T Earbuds - this has the IPS screen and AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800HS. Will this be good enough for streaming, work (MS Office use only), occasional photoshopping and gaming on N64 emulator?

I also don't need the free earbuds so I'm thinking of getting into chat service and asking them to lower the price. Not sure if I'll have any luck.

    • I dont think you can claim cashback on rep deals, better just buy the whole thing and sell the earbuds

      • That's correct. Any negotiating will void cashback…

        https://www.cashrewards.com.au/lenovo

Purchases made through Lenovo's student store, staff discounts, corporate deals, and negotiated offers (phone/email/chat) are ineligible for cashback.

    • No HDMI port, only 2x USB ports, no card reader, no fingerprint reader

  • Got it. Will buy the whole thing then.

  • Thanks TA! I almost bit the bullet and bought the Yoga 7 pro yesterday, but managed to save another couple hundred dollars AND get the OLED screen! Love your work :)

  • +1

    the selection is overwhelming..
need the best sub (15inch and over) has to be metal "aluminium" laptop 1k price range.
used for work and some photo editing, longer battery is a plus. (not concerned about gaming i have a desktop for that)

    • The Yoga 7 pro is the pick coking to $1192.50 after cash back. I think. Bit confused by your wording though as you've said sub 15inch and over. That one is 14inch with an OLED 2.8k 90hz display.

      • -1

        no 14 too small,

        1. all metal design base and top (i hate any type of flex)
        2. 15.6 inch or 16 inch
        3. decent battery life
        4. good trackpad and keyboard (backlit)

        those 4 are must haves.
everything else would be a bonus

        • Ideapad 5 pro 16" can be had for ~$1000 after cashback, otherwise the Yoga Slim 7 Pro can be bought for ~$1400. Both with great displays.

          • @F1ProjectOne: yeh thats the one im looking at the ideapad seems nice, only when you start looking at the negatives you start having second thoughts, like trackpad issues and hinge issues. the macbook air m1 has set such a standard that its hard to look at anything else. laptops are hard to get right. but m1 air is on another planet compared to the rest. it excels at every category,

build quality (do i have to explain this one)
keyboard (best on any laptop based on reviews)
trackpad (nothing comes close in response and usability)
screen quality (retina, banger for a 13 inch)
raw power (beats top spec AMD and intel CPUs)
            battery life (18 hours)
no overheating at all (no fan)
            unquestionable warranty from apple

all this it was $1200 on special few months ago too. such a hard thing to beat. also now you can put window 10 on it on virtual machine, and i watched a video where they benchmarked it while running windows and it still outperformed the windows laptops in benchmarks.. (using half of the cpu and ram so 4 out of 8 cores and only 4gb out of 8gb ram) :/ I think if you dont game or if you have a separate gaming rig, its a stupid move to buy anything else atm
now why im considering buying a sub 1k laptop is only due to the fact that i can get a 16" size. i wish they offered the air in 15/16 inch. the macbook pro 16" aint cheap and out of my price range.

  • Quick question regarding shipping. For those who have purchased a "ships in two days" before, how long has this taken to arrive? I assume even those devices ship from China?

    • I think you meant "2 business days". Item is in Sydney, not China.
I purchased on 13th, picked up by DHL on 14th. To be delivered on 19th (due to public holidays). If not, I would have gotten the product in 48 hours.

      • Oh yep exactly what I meant. Thanks for that info! Good to know it'll arrive quickly.

  • Are they charging the credit card when placing the order or when they ship the product?

    • +1

I believe credit card authorisation is performed at checkout, then charged once product is shipped.

      • Awesome so I can order today and pay later!

      • No they charged me right away.. ouch!!!
But I will only get the machine in 8 weeks…I don't think this is fair… But the good deal makes up for it…
Thanks for the good post. Ended up getting the Legion 16"

        • If you had chosen paypal, you will not be charged until you receive the item.
My item has shipped, already in DHL possession, and I still haven't been charged.

          • @amkssg: I chose PayPal and was charge immediately so I'm unsure why people are having different experiences

            • @Shaunzki: No they don't, you would have received an email from paypal stating: "You've submitted an order in the amount of $XXXX AUD to Lenovo (Australia and New Zealand) Pty Limited."

If you read further down in the email, it says: "Please note that this isn't a charge. Your account will be charged when the seller processes your payment."

  • I must have overlooked but when I clicked into the link it only showed me the 3060 option?

  • +1

Anyone know what date the invoice will have if not shipping until May? Will it be in the next few days or near when shipped?

  • Has anyone got a recommendation for a docking station to use with my lenovo thinkpad t14s gen 2? I'm looking to run 2 QHD monitors.

I was tossing up between the two:
    1) 40AN0135AU
    2) 40AF0135AU

Just not sure which one to really go for, if there's an advantage of going with 1) over 2) or not.

    • Depends if you have AMD or Intel? Try to avoid DisplayLink, you want either something with Thunderbolt for Intel or Displayport 1.4 over USB C with Display Stream Compression (DSC) for AMD

      • What's wrong with display link? And with that said, if I have an Intel laptop do you know which docking station would be best then?

  • +1

Thank you so much for this ! Got the legion 5 pro AMD + 32gb ram upgrade and 3070 upgrade for $2199 . Then cashback another $219 making the total $1980 . Cheers

  • Hey OzB, any recommendations for a laptop with a good screen? It'll mostly be used as entertainment consumption and no work / editing.
I've found in the past even an IPS panel / screen can look pretty bad.

  • What's a perfect cheap laptop that's quick and responsive for web-surfing and steaming. under $800

is the %10 cashreward from the original price before the %20 coupon or is it from the price after the coupon is applied?

    • cashback is always on your order total

  • Any recommended model for the day to day use (not gaming etc)? Probably around $800?

  • why would anyone go for the i5 processor if the i7 on the legion is only $100 more

  • Is the code working for everyone? It’s saying not found for me

    • just copy it from the post

    • Are you sure you’ve applied the correct code? Please note it’s case sensitive.

Hey this one is a good deal "ThinkPad P15v Gen 2 - 11th Gen Intel"

    https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpad-p-ser….

This is because even the customised upgrades get 53% off prior to the TA-20-OFF and cashrewards.

If you are looking for a business CAD workstation. upgrade to:
    i7-11800H
    RTX A2000 with MaxQ Design, 4GB GDDR6

    to $2596.48 - less TA-20-OFF = $2077.184 and get ($188.83 cashback).

  • Can’t seem to find a M15 monitor on the Lenovo site.

  • Anything I need to know before ordering an X1 carbon?

Seems to come with linux only, guessing just going to buy $15 windows key.

    • check Gen10 before purchase

  • Hi TA, is cashback valid for education store as well please?

    • Sorry No

  • +5

⚠️I ordered a brand new x1 extreme gen4 at the end of March but I received a refurbished one with brand new label and packing two days ago. When I got it I found some fingerprints and realized it might be second hand, I checked the battery cycle count is 10. Hard drive powered on for 18 hours. Write 772GB read nearly 1TB powered on 212 times - I suspect it’s a repaired and refurbished machine

    • +1

That's terrible, have you contacted Lenovo yet? What was their response?

      • +1

When I found this problem I called customer service immediately and said it was a serious problem the technical team would contact me within 24 hours, however after one day the technician still had not contacted me, I called them again they said they would usually contact me within 24 to 48 hours and if I couldn't wait I could contact them myself and provide a phone number. Later, the tech team gave me an email address [email protected], and asked me to send them screenshots I mentioned battery cycle and hard drive info. From the words it sounds like this kind of problem is very common. Will never choose Lenovo again

    • That's dodgy, I'll be sure to check mine when it arrives. Out of interest what spec did you buy?

    • Brand new account not suspicious at all 🤔

      • +1

Yea I did just register to tell you guys about the problem I faced with my purchase of Lenovo and remind you to pay attention to check

    Legion 5i Pro Gen 6 16" i7 with 3 years warranty for $2,182.92 minus 10% cashback = $1,964.62.
    Good price ?

  • Is there a model with dedicated AMD graphics that is on par with 3060 or even 3050 for gaming?

  • The code is expired.

  • Didn't end up getting the three year warranty…can that be purchased afterwards with the same deal? I can't work it out…

  • I'm after a light laptop (~1.6kg) with 16:10 display (accuracy over refresh) and at least 32GB RAM. I'm looking at the X13 G2 with 5850u, 32GB, fingerprint reader, and backlit keyboard for $1,778.25 before TA's discount and cashback. Is there any other models I should take a look at? Anything with a brighter display? I'd consider larger models but not (much) heavier.

  • Are there any desktops with similar specs as the legion 5s? I need something with nvidia graphics, 32gb of ram and as many cores as I can get, preferably AMD. Running some python stuff that takes a few days to process and while I've been working on a laptop a desktop would suit me better.
The price point of the legions (~2k) is just about right, but cheaper is better.

  • Can some one help, how are these 2 in comparison ?
    IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro Gn 6 16" AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
    vs Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro 14" 2.2K Laptop, Ryzen 5 5600U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD
Will spec both to 16GB ram, and 5800H processor, both will have similar price, $1130 after 10% cashback, just tossing which one to buy.
Usage: file transferring, mainly browsing, word processing, light gaming, light video playing.
