i've quickly tried the tablet and i thought it was ok. in my case the tablet is a freebie since i am using the data for home internet. the cool bluish tint of the screen is the weakest point. changing to the dark theme helps.
one thing ive found helpful for apple users is changing the home button to a swipe up and its very good as im used to the swipe up on the iPhone 11
i found you can make the display less blue by enabling eye comfort shield in the display options and using the colour temperature slider to limit the blue. not perfect but better
edit: oh works in light mode but stuffs up dark mode, now it has a yellowish tint :(

Received a spam sms on new phone number in tablet within minutes from debt collectors Milton Graham about being prepared approved for payment plan.
Had that once got a Sim. And got hammered 24,hrs a day from debt collectors and drug dealers death threats got it swapped about 24hrs they were relentless
lol. recycled number. fortunately my sim is sitting in a 4g modem so people can send me as many messages as they want ….
just need to wait 7 years until the debt expires :)

Had several chats with Optus support to check on the status, but all of them have been utterly useless (saying that there is no more stock, so there's no guarantee that the contract will be fulfilled).
Finally got a tracking number last night, both the SIM and tablet arrived today (in a single package).
Tablet is not locked to Optus.
I missed the delivery but mine arrived thanks heaps OP. 64 gb model, not current Optus customer but still had account, ordered 22:23 23/4.
Hope the mods keep the comments open for a long time in case something tricky happens down the line

Tracking shows tablet only took several hours to arrive from Sydney to Perth early this morning, tracking now says it'll take 4 days to arrive at my address in Perth from the Perth depot !

After looking through many different styles of cases, I've taken a punt on this one because it is the only cheapish one that I could find with a built in stand that works in both orientations.
"Bonus" screen protector and stylus pen also.
Only issues are longish shipping and lowish seller rating.

Was previously contemplating this one but figured too bulky and have to buy my own screen protector separately. Although the free one from above is only plastic, so still might need to buy a tempered glass one anyway.

I had one of these and they're excellent at protecting from accidental drops. I thought I had all bases covered until my then 2 year old took to the screen with a pair of needle nose pliers haha

My 128GB tablet shipped yesterday. Unfortunately, according to the tracking info, it "arrived late" in Hobart this morning at 10am so I assume it missed out on being loaded into a delivery van. Will probably sit at the depot all weekend for delivery on Monday.
Is there anyway to use this data only simcard in my old android device? Just for the mobile data of course. I tried putting it in my old phone and it says emergency calls only with 0 bars..
You should be able to use it that way.
Just make sure the sim card has been activated!

You can make and receive calls on the tablet if you put a mobile sim but not the one it comes with.

Crazy that people got overnight delivery from sydney to perth, but sydney to canberra and i am still waiting with no change to tracking. It even still says expected delivery is 27th.
I'm in Melbourne, and in similar situation, shipped on 26th. Startrack tracking says it was expected to be delivered on the 27th. Its still sitting at Melbourne depot and hasn't moved. It looks like I'll get it next week now.

@omicron: Fixed my problem by uninstalling and re-installing netflix app. All contents are now in full HD, overall good tablet, nice screen, very impressive unit.
