  Those kits always contain a plectrum as well as the plastic pry tools. For the iPhone, you only need the screwdriver and suction cup, unless the front screen is completely smashed to pieces.

      Yes, the brown coloured one in that iPhone repair kit is a guitar plectrum. The other triangle one is a different shape, I guess you could call it a triangle opening tool.

I have one of the Repair Opening Pry Tool for iPad (exact same model, by BEST) in my electronics servicing kit. It is very handy for many things that require a metal spludger (yep, that is what they are called), especially disassembling things liek TV remote controls.

But I find it a little too thick to easily slide down beside the bezel of an iPod to release the clips. In the end I took a small Nitto knife with snap-off blade and re-shaped the blade and bluntened it. I find that easier because it's about 1/3 the thickness.

Price in this deal is pretty good for that item, I actually paid $4.80 from an Aussie eBay seller because I needed one quickly.
