Well, my pre-launch $79 excitement deal has come full circle. I'm going to finally give it a go for this embarrassingly low price.

    As much as I want to dunk on 2042, for the price of a mobile game I'm not going to say you won't have at least a few hours of fun shooting at bots and the rare level 158 die-hard who's desperately hanging out to be on top when the game inevitably goes free to play.

    I paid $24 and didn't feel it was worth it. For $9 MAYBE it is worth it. No campaign and servers are pretty dead. Only certain modes have players. If you buy it, know you're buying a dying/almost dead game

    I bought COD BOP4 and hated it. No campaign killed it for me. It's what sets the tone. In saying that, the MP was fun at the time.

    Given the above, for $9 I just ordered BF42 for ps5. How bad can it be?

      Because it seems like PC gamers play this, I picked up the $9 XSX version and playing online so far I seem to be running up against a lot of PC players, which have a distinct advantage shooting at medium/long range which is where most of the encounters in this game see to occur.

      Needs more cover, needs an option to play only against console players imo. Runs and looks pretty great on XSX, it definitely has improved from the version I played back in November.

    So as I commented yesterday I bought this for my PS5 for $9 then got one for my sister for the Xbox series X. Now after reading more about this game and watching reviews .. I think am regretting my decision. I know it is only $9 but still lol.

    Bad news is it is onboard for delivery today too 🤦‍♂️

    However I am still leaning towards giving it a crack but the issue is the player base. If hardly anyone is playing then it will make it so crap to play. Thank god it is only $9. I would be really pissed if it went down to $5 next week then free the month after.

      They just did a big update fixing a lot of issues last week. So the player base is coming back a bit, will see how long it lasts.

        Thanks. I took a look on Youtube and some person made a video that there were like 400 fixes or so with the update. The game was delivered earlier today but I need to install it on the PS5 now and play it. Hopefully when I do give it a crack there are enough people to find a good local lobby.
