If you don't have Plus can use SAVEMAY for $10 off ($198.99)

    • Thanks edited.

  • I never know what fitting kit I should look for

    • You should just be able to put in year make model and it tells you which one you need.

Repco has some discounted fitting kit under Clearance>Prorack, most stores are out of stock. I bought one k343 for $10 last week.

    • No clearance for the one I would need but it is $10 cheaper than Supercheap

    • Yes I bought one and modified to suit my Elgrand E51.

      • Was that he K343? I know a lot of people are waiting on Elgrand-specific fitting kits that seen to have been on backorder for well over 12 months.

Yes I bought K163 fitting kit from eBay and got one pair of bars installed. Because I want to mount a roof tray (1800x1200mm) so I need the third bar and fitting kid. I found that K343 looks similar to the K163 from the product photos. So I decided to have a try. I used my original K163 as a template and cut off the excess on the sides and bottom of K343. Then re-bend the bottom part to look the same as the K163 and perfectly fit on the mount point. All tools I used are a angle grinder for cutting, a hammer and chisel are used to hit the bottom to bend it into a hook. I believe it can be more precise and easier if you use a vise.

These are very noisy at any speed compared to their s-wing bars! Only get these if you actually need the extra weight rating or U slot.

Haven't heard a peep out of my T17's on my Outlander

      • Maybe your Outlander is louder than the bar? :D

Joke aside, the difference in wind noise was night and day when I had the HD for a few days instead of the S-wing. YMMV.

  • Note that if they dont have the fitting kit actually in stock, you are in for a long wait. I bought the bars & a kit in the last sale & was told last week that the fitting kit will only arrive in August! What can one do but accept it unless someone knows where I can get it for less than $63?

    • What fitting kit are you after? you can (generally) find them from other suppliers though certain models are on long backorder
