Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro (6.67" AMOLED 120Hz, 8GB/128GB, SD732G, NFC, Widevine L1) US$260.99 (~A$369.23) Delivered @ Hekka

1091
REDMI10

Low price on this popular Redmi phone and beats the recent Amazon UK deal as this is the better 8GB RAM variant for a lower price.

This is the official Global Version and in my opinion it's the perfect phone to get if you want good hardware and features for a low price. The AMOLED display is bright at 1200nits, Snapdragon 732G offers good performance, the large 5020mAh battery lasts a long time, there's Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix HD, NFC and 108MP camera products pretty good photos - especially when the Google Cam mod is used.

Featuring MIUI 12 (Android 11, OTA to MIUI 13 / Android 12), 6.67 AMOLED 2400x1080 120Hz Display with Gorilla Glass 5, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 Storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G Octa-Core CPU, Adreno 618 GPU, Widevine L1 for HD Netflix/Amazon, NFC, IP53 water resistance, 108MP+8MP+5MP+2MP rear camera, 16MP front camera, Dual SIM, 3.5mm audio and a 5020mAh battery with 33W USB-C fast charging.

@9hundred: China isn't worried about middle class AnzacPaul's browsing history.

            • @anzacpaul: Sadly, as Billy Gat put it, lotsa them middle class folk won't see their full potential.

    • Did you use PayPal?

      • No, I was advised above not to due to PayPal's conversion being worse than local banks.

All good I got it sorted with my bank, transaction went through and card is back to normal.

        • +4

At payment in PayPal you click on "See currency options" under the card. There you can choose to have your card bill in USD at the banks exchange rate instead of PayPal.

          • -1

@Clear: Usually 5,% worse off using PayPal exchange rate compared to 28degrees

@ocular: Hence why you do what I just said ;)

  • i have a pixel 3XL…will this phone be an upgrade for me? I like Pixel's camera quality. Is this Xiaomi phone just as good?

    • +2

Nowhere close. The processing on Google phones are still industry leading despite the 3xl's age.

      • oh ok. so its a no buy for me then…
        thanks

        • just get the google camera mods for xiaomi tbh

          • @dws: how do you do that?

            • @souths123: Just head over to XDA & find the right camera apk file/settings. No amount of modded software can lift the RN10P camera into Google flagship territory, even compared to 3yr old hardware.

  • This or wait for a Oppo Find X3 Pro deal?

  • great phone - i bought it recently for $333 after aliexpress codes and cashrewards for the 8gb ram version

    cheaper here - $354.26 after APR25 code -

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002318729241.html?spm=a2…

5% cashrewards will bring it down another $16 or so

    • They'll add GST at checkout.

      • gst already added in above price

        • Sadly the code doesn't work on it.

          • @Clear: was working when i posted - i checked it - thanks for all your posts clear!

  • Does anyone know if this phone has working VoLTE/VoWiFi on Telstra?

Question is if it's time to retire the old S8 Plus or not and upgrade to this? Looks like the main advantages are the camera, battery & performance (which are main considerations). My only concern is how durable Xiaomi's are since it lacks the same level of IP rating as with the S8.

Aussie Price was exact with 28 degrees card!

Is it just me, or is the HEKKASALE200 code actually better here? takes $10 off $200. The other code doesn't work for me either.

    • 265.99 is more expensive than 260.99

      • Interesting, must of had the 6gb or something in cart when I tried it. I was sure I had the 8gb version and it didn't work, my bad.

  • I was thinking bout splashing out and getting an iPhone… But I think this looks like a decent unit and a lot cheaper…

    I'm upgrading from a Huawei Mate 10 Pro…

Worst thing… If I want iPhone it's gotta be a Max Pro coz like the other screens are so small… Can't believe iPhone users love the small screens :/

    • No need for 5G?

      • My house is located in a 5G dead zone between two towers… 4G does the job…
Plus I'm on Belong so I can't even get it.

    Great Delivery Experience:
My last Hekka order was made on 16/4 and just delivered today 3/5 by Australia Post. There were 3 long weekend holidays during that period as well.
Worth mentioning, I think Australia Post has Lifted Their Game. A few days before the Hekka delivery I recieved email advising delivery was within next few days and if I had other options if not at home, like collect from a Post Office etc.

    • What do you think or the phone?

      • +1

The RN10P, pretty much like all other Xiaomi phones, offers killer hardware for the price, but questionable software/performance, if you don’t want to mod it. I found the build quality, camera, screen & speakers to be great. The call quality was average (expected given the phone lacks VoLTE) & the battery really dropped off after 6 months. Also, the annoying rear camera rattle took some getting used to. Then there is the software. MIUI 12 was typically buggy for a Xioami phone, but MIUI 13 broke my device.

Did you get notification of shipping from Hekka? Ordered 6 days ago and still showing order confirmed only.

      • +1

Same boat, 6 days ago today and order still shows as confirmed only

        • +1

I got a reply from customer service saying china is stuffed due to covid lockdowns.

          • +1

@anzacpaul: time to cancel the order? no shipping information for me at all so far..

            • @bathuu: I'm going to give it a couple more days. Seems like you have to email to cancel etc.

              • @anzacpaul: I made three separate pay pal purchases of mi band 6's on 16/4.
On 16/4 Hekka confirmed order, but only one 1 band 6 was listed.
Later on 16/4 I rec 3 pay pal advices for the 3 bands listing, transaction id, invoice id, shipping address etc for each band.
On 29/4 I rec 3 pay pal advices, transaction id, tracking no, shipping status. Footnote said any queries contact Pay Pal.
On 29/4 rec email from Australia Post advising package for delivery in next few days, any special arrangements etc.
                1st band 6 arrived 3/5.
                2nd arrived on 10/5.
                3rd arrived on 11/5.
Hekka may have warehouses in different locations, you can see, even though I placed the order for 3 similar items on the same day, within minutes of each other, delivery was scattered. Pandemic may also be creating delays.
I would consider 4 weeks a reasonable delivery time to a location near Oz capital city.
I understand the waiting anxiety, but relax, use the time to research how to get the most out of your product.
You want the item at a good price, you gotta play the game.
Hope this helps and good luck.

      • I ordered two (bronze and blue 8gb) on 4 & 5 May and I got a shipping notification for both in the shop app about 2 days ago.

        • Mine now says shipped with an Auspost tracking number, but no events yet so guessing it's not in Aus.

          • +1

@anzacpaul: I'm starting to think they've just allocated a tracking number cause there's no updates 🤣

            • @sarac: Funnily enough I finally got an aus post update today, went from no events to shipping information received. Still no progress on actual postage though

            • @sarac: Just requested a refund. Not waiting any longer

Interested in getting this UK version Note Pro via Amazon.

Will it work with Aus and Indian carriers ?

    Thanks

@51ngh .. someone already responded on Amazon

      Question:
I want to use this phone in Australia? is this an unlocked version?
      Answer:
Using one bought on Amazon from the UK in Australia on Optus just fine, so yes unlocked.

    .
Apologies if this has been addressed.

Who is a dealer in Aus, where the phones are already here? (not b&m store). I need a phone in a hurry.

I've seen a map of how many ships are sitting in the water and can't get in or out of China (a LOT!)
    .
