    Officework's "always low price" is $29.18 https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/thermos-va…

So this deal is more like 33% off what you can normally buy it at any day of the week.

And Costco has a two pack for $42.99 https://www.costco.com.au/Kitchen-Laundry-Appliances/Kitchen…

So if you were in the market for two of these things anyway, then it's only a saving of 7% compared to a regular price.

    • It's still the lowest price, and a significant saving. Plus you don't have to pay for a Costco membership

A knock-off S'well bottle, costing maybe $5, kept my roadtrip coffee very hot for 5 hours before I finished the coffee, didn't notice any heat loss. Just an alternative.

      $5? link?

      • Woolworths has 50% off every 3-4 months, it is Sistema but it is $10.5

      • $7 from Kmart actually

  • What’s the comparison between these or the ZOJIRUSHI Stainless steel bottles I see on OZB often?

Recently bought a YETI rambler bottle and so far very good. Not sure on the thermos

I've been using one of these for the last 5 years and it's been working great the whole time.
Only issue I had was I dropped it and cracked the side of plastic base 3 years ago, still hasn't caused an issue.

I made a plunge coffee this morning at 7AM and it's still drinkable hot at 10:42AM (it's been crazy busy this morning)

    • Ah yes, good point about the plastic bottom. Ours did break too before it was replaced. The new one (linked below in separate post) has metal base.

They keep the temp so well that my partner keeps the lid off for 15-20mins when poured to try and get it slightly cooler as it holds its temp for so long.

It's just coffee from a moccamaster so not super hot either when poured.

I loved this version many moons ago, but I prefer the newer model……which looks on sale too @ ~$23 Amazon

I've used these thermos flasks for over 6-7years. Newer one for over 3 years. Love being able to use them one handed. They rarely leak. So we've owned 2 older models and 1 newer model

We replaced our first older model was the lid snapped off at the hinge when being screwed on/off….user error as it's not a strong position to screw with lid opened and used as leverage. Also our more recent older model just broke on the press release button….so the lid is only held by the metal locking ring (not the actual press button mechanism if that makes sense).

No real issues so far with our new model.

The newer model linked above is slightly different as below:
    - the sipping lip is smaller and much better for me to use.
    - rubber washer on hinge instead of metal spring (I'm aware rubber can perish…..but it seems the spring mechanism makes the lid hinge larger and more of a weak point).
    - the screw thread in internal on bottle and is softer. (easier to clean and makes the bottle lid less bulky)
    - secure latch is plastic, but just as secure. I've had not issues with it popping off in bag.

We love these bottles. Use them on road trips and for work commute in the car all the time. I would much prefer the newer than the older ones if you wanted my recommendation. Also will add, we tend to go with the stainless steel uncoloured ones, as they can scratch up and show the bare steel. If you plan to be rough with it, I'd say don't go for a colour one. Our older navy blue one shows the steel material underneath prominently due the contrasting colours.

  • These are not perfectly sealed from leaking ie air/pressure release plus the actual sip section. Versus bottles with screw on lid and no release valve. Happy with it otherwise.

  • Mine was leaking. Told Amazon and they gave a full refund and said I can get a new one if I want. No need to return either. Free [leaking] thermos I guess.

I might get a different thermos though due to this issue.

  • Winter time, was looking for a vacuum flask and saw this.

Back in stock at $10 now. Cheers
