Phone already plagued with camera issues, and updates are making it more inline with Oppo software (bad) instead of Oxygen OS (good).

  • Confirmed it's NE2213 Global Version with OxygenOS

As someone who loves OnePlus phones I wouldn't bother about buying this. You're basically buying an Oppo phone without local warranty these days. Shame in the direction they've gone.

    • Agree, half the price I will buy, my oneplus 5 is still hanging in there

I had a OP3T which was a great phone but they have out priced themselves now. Moved on to a Xioami 9T over 2 years ago and it's still going strong. Next phone in a year or two will probably be an Oppo

    • I'm typing away on my 7T it's the best phone I've ever owned. It's rock solid. Shame to hear they are going backwards

    • OnePlus have always been rebranded Oppo though 😅

      • +2

The best parts about OnePlus have always been their price and their OS. Now they've got neither of those..

        • +1

Still runs OxygenOS. They ditched ColorOS.

          • @Clear: That's great news but OxygenOS itself is becoming more like ColorOS

            • @decc0: They went to ColorOS and there was backlash so OxygenOS is back.

I could do that with a number of other phones, as things get thinner and people want bigger batteries they will become more fragile. Especially if you add wireless charging, you need either glass back, or metal back with a "non magnetic" area in the back …..

I think one of the iphones someone once did a sit down test and broke it …… before I binned my xiaomi I snapped it in 2.

Big phones are not designed for back pockets if you sit down, or front pockets if you sit down, basic laws of leverage if flexed.

Their website says no Authorized seller / warranty in Australia

    • Amazon page says: "Australia Local Warranty"

      It also says:
      Ships from Amazon
      Sold by OnePlus Official Store

that's very confusing. The good thing about Amazon is that in case of a warranty claim they would just refund the full cost of the phone.

Great specs and price thanks op

    so sad.
Purchased 2 months ago at full price with $200 import duty…

Is that the phone that snapped in half?

    • +2

Yes. Zack from jerryrig snapped It in half like a biscuit

      • He even made a 'comparison' video with the Xiaomi 12 Pro just to remind people the state the OP10 Pro was left in

  • +5

    Apparently they settled..

    • Settled for shocking OS and Camera and high price tag

  • My mate was about to buy this, thanks for the heads up in comments about the problems :)

    • Good specs camera is not the absolute best but good enough and no one tries to snap a phone ur mate should get it there's plenty of phones that don't snap and are terrible to use it's not a deal breaker

couldn't imagine myself buying a $1200 phone without local warranty ….. the listing says Australian warranty ……

    • Aus warranty sold from OnePlus official Aus store

Remember when OnePlus was the flagship killer at that cheaper pricepoint. Like the Nexus devices. No way would I pay this much for oneplus.

    • +1

So which flagship with similar specs is same price or cheaper ?

    • Remember when they stopped calling themselves flagship killers and people continued to say it when it hasn't been true for years.

I bought the Chinese version last month and then flashed it to the Oxygen OS 12. I'm happy with it so far.

  • this or s22 ?

  • The once flag killer, oneplus with specs and software as good as Pixel is long dead and gone.

In their dreams for such high price

    • Personally I disagree.

I'm still stuck on oneplus, I love the slider on the side, I love to massively fast charging speed (wireless and wired). For me its still better hardware than the pixel.

  • Love the hardware of OnePlus phones , but the software is going down hill fast, oxygen os was a wonderful Os , now it resembles a hybrid with colour os

  • So is there any difference in the hardware between the Chinese and the Euro models ? . Eg missing bands etc.
How hard is it to change the OS to the Global version ?
