I find it quite fun when Sony tried so hard to get around to sell their stuff cheaper, from "damaged" boxes to the "student" portal.

For those without membership, the Sony online store is willing to price match (at least they were for me last Friday) and they include delivery too.

I am hoping that the 75" one will drop in price too. I noticed that last month people were able to buy it for $2500 (some lucky students even got it cheaper). I made Sony an offer of $2500 through 'Price Match' option 2 days ago but they didn't accept it :(

Sony store has these for $1995 at the moment, free delivery.
To whom want to buy but don't have the membership. You just register for one and pay $60 fee. Once you have it, you can register Costco online account and buy the TV. Then you can go to the nearest Costco store and request for a refund. They will give you back $60 but ban you for a year. All you need are some effort and dignity
