you can NEVER have enough clamps…. I may need to sneak a buy in.

These are of regular price and availability

The 150mm description is misleading, they have a max jaw opening of 63mm so will be pretty limiting in how you will use them

they have a max jaw opening of 63mm

Are you sure? Could you be confused with clamping force of up to 63kg, or the 62mm throat depth?

Beat me to it. I'm looking at some now that I bought a month or so ago at this price, they open way more than 63mm.

They are very plasticky, I'd feel scared trying to put 63kg pressure on them, I wouldn't want to pay more than this for them.

They are rated light duty. Medium and heavy duty are dearer.
Irwin 150mm Quick-Grip Medium Duty Bar Clamp $29.48 each
Irwin 150mm Quick-Grip Heavy Duty Bar Clamp $39.48 each

Just checked on the set I bought. Jaws max opening is 175mm.

    • Look at the photos - they're clearly much larger than 63mm. A 63mm quick clamp will be absolutely tiny, like fit in the palm of your hand tiny. I've never seen any that small.

Have you used clamps like this before? The jaws on clamps like these slide all the way down the spine. The jaw width of 62mm refers to the width of the jaws themselves, nothing to do with the opening.

    • I stand corrected, I mistook the throat depth for jaw opening.

The throat depth is from the bar to the front edge of the jaws, where as the opening, as spotted by replies is much larger than that.

150mm refers to the jaw opening and not the total length of the clamp.

  • Saw some clamps at Aldi for $12. Pack of 2 iirc.
Yesterday. Not sure on size though

I have some Aldi ones and the ones posted… Irwin's are much better I find - less slipping and better grip.

  • It's not what I expected when I saw the words 'mini bar' 🥸

    Irwin clamps are Fantastic!

I bought an 8 pack, as well as a long single heavy duty one.

They are expensive, but excellent quality.

  • $10 cheaper than the dewalt set and close to 20Kg more clamping force. wish id seen this before buying dewalt.

  • Aldi one are rubbish, handle breaks easy
