Seriously! Still selling these over rated things?

Give it a try before you flog it mate.

Have used one for years. They stop you keys clanking and getting caught on things in your bag/pocket. They reduce bulk significantly and are generally a well made, functional key organiser. Highly recommended and would buy again if/when the one I have dies - which I don't think will be for many many years.

I have like 5 of them. From the version 1, canvas one, sports band, nylon, leather of the v2.
Stops my keys damaging my wallet or phone in the pocket

I don't get the point of the gadget. So in the picture, it has 3 keys attached to the device, which looks like it would be more clunky then 3 keys attached to a keyring… why bother spending nearly $38 when it will take up more room in your pocket?

    • No jingle, though

      On mine I have,
      House key
      Car key
      Towbar key
      Back door key
      Another car key
      Petrol cap key
      Shop key
      And another car key/fob on a D-ring
      I find it extremely useful

My orbitkey has 5 keys + multitool which is the thickness of a key, so effectively 6 keys, plus the car key on the D ring. Pros: Looks better than a bunch of keys on a keyring, keeps keys aligned and together until you need to use them, can adjust tightness no matter how many keys you have so there's no jingle, less chance of keys scratching phone. Cons: Generally you need two hands to get the key out that you want to use so not great if you're trying to get in your house with a handful of other stuff, it is obviously another "thing" in your pocket but I think this is offset by the neatness and compactness of having the keys bundled together.

because the keys are contained, and organised. No rotating around in your pocket and stabbing your leg, and if you are like me my keys are organised in exactly the order I use them. I can unlock all my doors in the dark if I need to.

Plus you can fit way more than 3 keys. I have five on mine, and I could fit another couple if I removed the washers from between them.

You can also buy an extension post if you need to fit more keys

  • Green has been sold out for a while

I don't understand the appeal when it can't fit a car key.

    • +3

That's what the D Ring is for.

You know this site is becoming cooked when somebody gets down voted for stating they don't understand the appeal of something and you know what I understand where you're coming from.

Thanks for your comment, completely agree Negs are just ridiculous on this site.

I didn't say this is a terrible product or a bad deal.
I stated for my purposes I don't understand the appeal.
It adds weight and space to my keys, and requires 2 hand operation for the 2 non-car keys on my keyring.

Perhaps my comment was trying to open a conversation about what I'm misunderstanding.
But the keyboard warriors just immediately Neg anything that isn't their exact opinion or questions a product they maybe own.

Also thank you; I didn't even see the O ring so it's slightly more useful, but still not worth it for me personally.

Your opinion is valid that's why I made sure to reply. There was no reasonable reason for anybody to downvote you because you gave your opinion. In the right situation this would be a great key organiser but it's definitely not a general key organiser for everybody. I don't see value for money in this product either if I have to be honest.

  • My keys sit on a generic ring yes they move around in my pocket but I can hold something like a phone in the dark to see which keys I'm using. This looks like the kind of device that will keep the keys from moving around but does it take 2 hands to operate this device efficiently? I feel like the purpose of this device means it's going to take two hands to operate it. My dad still carries the old school leather buckle up keyholder and I feel like that's more practical

Generally things that aren't user experience or direct review are exposed to be down voted.

But personally i never look at the +/- on comments anyway.

I recently received one of these as a freebie from Subaru (new Outback). It certainly isn't compact, and it can be a little awkward putting one of the keys into a keyhole and rotating the entire keyring (I am not really used to it yet), but it is nice that the keys are "contained" and don't rattle around in the pocket. I think I like it but the jury is still out.

I am not sure I would pay the price though. When I looked the one I have is $45, plus monogramming/embossing (mine obviously has Subaru on it), plus postage - around $70 for a keyring ! At the price I paid ($0) it is certainly worth a try though.
