Can be used for portable storage on the go (since it is a solid state drive). Also, good for general testing (i.e. boot Windows 10 / 11 or Mac OSX or linux from it). Gaming.

HVN's price match guarantee is BS. Stores can and generally refuse to match. I've tried 3 stores in NSW and 2 stores in VIC in the past. All refused to even price match MSY. A lot of staff told me flat out: well, then just buy it from MSY.
MSY also do not price match. Which is funny as there's a big sign outside their store in Fyshwick ACT that says 'Lowest Prices!'

Had to be a price error. Price avg is $149 from other retailers. I ordered one in Sunbury VIC. Got a call 20 mins later saying they don't have stock. TGG is a load of shit they've been doing this way too often.

Nah, with T7 touch, it really needs a heavy discount to sell.
For those of us who missed out, it's okay. 95%+ of people buying this are due to FOMO, rather than actually need one. Also, unless you have a real need to dual boot or boot from external SSD, honestly, we all want to move towards at least 1TB+ external SSD storage.

Already have multiple 1TB external SSDs. Would have really liked one to put a version of Mac OS so I can boot a different OSX on my Mac, but realistically, it is FOMO for me.
With USB 3.2 gen 2, these are all PCIe gen 3 x2. So, the SSD inside isn't that great.
I doubt it. It doesn't make it any sense to tag it as clearance and only getting $5 off of RRP.

It is depend on staff, like Lotto. Sometimes they do pm clearance item. Cos some staff just don't really cares.

I’d have impulse bought this but I don’t remember the last time I’ve needed fast on the go storage. Everything is either cloud or a small usb stick to transfer a single ppt/gcode file.

I'm kinda new with price matching things, but was wondering do you pay on the spot or do they text to you message for the payment/invoice? I was successful with a price match but they only asked for my name, number and when to pick it up.
There are two ways you can price match over the phone:
First Method
The way you did it (meaning you don't pay for the items until you come in-store) - technically its like putting something on hold but with a price match (i've never done this because I fear if the price match may be dishonoured by the time you head in store)Second method
After you successfully price match over the phone, request the person for a click and collect link (its something you have to ask) they will generate a link with your unique cart (on there you can check out as normal) and even add the coupons. Checkout and wait for your pick up email.
Am I able to call them and try do option 2? As I already have the item on hold.
Edit: So I just called and they said they can't do option 2, so I have to come there and pay it there.
@Riqodex: You can give it a shot, But I personally wouldn't mess around too much because good guys is already OOS.
@MosaicCub: Yeah, I'm just scared that they just put it on hold for me without doing the invoice until I get there.
@Riqodex: Maybe try price matching again, act like a different customer and do the second method I mentioned. If the price match fails, then at least you still have the one on hold to fall back on.
@MosaicCub: I'll probably just have to risk it for tomorrow. As soon as the person picked up the phone (was a guy) he seems to be not really interested in talking at all so I don't want to bug them. Just hoping for the best I guess.
