These TLDs are outta control, I find the nonstandard ones hard to give out to people as they are still used to seeing .com . net .com.au etc

My thoughts exactly, to many introduced to fast. even .au confused people and half the websites are like this is an invalid email or etc…

      • I have not had any problems of acceptance with new gTLDs as of yet but it really is got to do with what you choose to use.

Unfortunately these are not going anywhere and have been around before even direct registrations we're coming up on eight years plus and there's only going to be more added.

And in my long-term opinion with another round of new gTLDs on the way in the next three years I've said this many times direct registrations in .au are going to become more important long-term.

In a world where they'll be almost infinite choices after the dot important bit is really only going to be the .au part.

As someone that has been following and participating in this industry for years direct registrations long-term will be a lot more beneficial to the Australian domain space than people right now considering.

With the expansion of so much of our digital lives going online opening up direct .au with eligibility extending to more people and not just businesses more people now can choose to register .au.
