Why we have to pay to see public land that government inherit is beyond me.
Just went to the pinnacles (cervantes) WA, last weekend. Years ago it was free, now $15 entry! - they've put in some toilets, overpriced gift shop and have a dated "mini museum".
I guess they have created jobs where jobs didn't exist before - one positive i guess

Agree. Just disincentivising people from going to national parks but better user pays than the general taxpayers.

Yes, this is not a new deal. I renewed my 4WD registration last week and got that $50 multi-park pass.

Boomers with 4 investment properties who could afford a house on a typical single income: Why don’t families spend time together outdoors anymore?

  • Ought to be free for first nations peoples

  • still kinda pissed I paid for this right before lockdowns last year

    • Just like those people who have booked their holiday and cannot get a refund due to lockdown.

  • There doesn't appear to be any data sharing and validation between Service NSW and National Parks. So you could take advantage of this offer any time by saving the webpage with the link and using the link in the future. The link uses a HTTP POST form which includes the rego and state.
