+1 for the writeup. OP, any good deals ?

    • +7

TGGC actually has a lot of decent prices. Belkin products are always a good bargain on there

    • +2

Lol it depends on what you are after … JBL flip 5 I'm looking at is $100 at GGC, JB staff pricing is $96 so pretty decent for commercial pricing, also a chest freezer I got was $390 and it came down to $315 GGC so there's plenty of bargains

      • +2

"it depends on what you are after": Buy first, think later… I abide by the OzB motto

        • AKA idiot's motto

  • +3

I could never get this working in the past.

    • +2

Same - registered at least 6 months ago. Emailed TGG - says it's not their responsibility, contact good guys. Contact good guys - we know nothing, contact Super…..Classic!

      • +1

The JB HiFi one seems to work straight out of the box. I am getting a different site with slightly cheaper prices than the main site.

      • I had one email cactus with GGC when someone shared that code publicly I had access then days later they obviously revoked it. Now with Rest super I couldn't use that email had to use my secondary to get access

  • +4

i wish qsuper would get in on this so i could bloody use it!

    • Yeah its really confusing, I thought with the merger I would be logging into this new site but that doesn't seem to be the case.

      • +2

        This is on ARTS website:
"Some Rewards offers (including Freedom Fuels, Good Guys Commercial, JB Hi-Fi Solutions and Redeem Your Gift Card) are available only to Super Savings account holders. This means these offers will be unavailable to QSuper account holders unless they also hold a Super Savings account. All other offers are available to Australian Retirement Trust members who hold either a Super Savings or a QSuper account."

    • +2

if you are a union member, join Union Shopper and you get access to TGGC

    • I joined them the other week but didn’t move or do anything around actually bringing super in. Doesn’t have to impact your current fund. Just create a new account?

  • +11

Here's the running list of ways to get on to Good Guys Commercial (may need updating):

Don't forget the huge amount of discounted giftcards also available in the ART dashboard.

Might save a few ppl from getting scammed trying to buy from 3rd party sellers.

    • What is the ART dashboard? thanks in advance,

      • 'Australian Retirement Trust' dashboard/members area/login portal.

    • +1

The gift cards are in fact sold via a third party seller- RedeemYourGiftCard. Unfortunately it's quite a lame setup. You will find some negative stories around OzB regarding them. I thought it looked good too, then had to deal with the GiftCard mob directly, which was painful. Surprising that ART would use them. Good if it goes through as a smooth transaction, but not the best track record.

  • I’m about to buy a fridge form TGG
Is they savings worth the sign up effort (I can’t see the prices on TGGC)

Looking at an LG / Haier

    • +5

I can check for you. Which model number?

    • TGGC don't carry all the models/brands that their retail store do, so keep that in mind. Someone has asked you to post the name and model number and they will look it up for you

      • They don't online but you can ask for a price via their TGGC email address to ask for the commercial price / negotiate an offer with them.

        • ok, thanks, I didn't know that.

  • +3

We've had a temporary system issue
It's not you, it's us. Please try again in a couple of minutes.

    • likewise

  • Does tgg commercial also go on sale when they have brochure sales? Ie is it discounted more?

    • nope

    • occasionally I have seen things a bit cheaper for a short time, but usually no

  • +1

St George gives access to jb hifi solutions too.

  • +2

Absolutely worth it. I saved over $2k just this weekend from an oven and vacuum. Already compared prices with other whitegood, amazon, etc.

  • Please enter the promo code to access the Gift Cards

anyone know the promo code for Redeem Your Gift Card?

    • +3

      Code: egiftcards

      • very nice thank you

  • +2

And my usual comment, jbhifi solutions is pointless. No savings to be had.

    • Yep totally agree. Almost always a better deal elsewhere. Very rare when they have the best price and in most cases you can just negotiate a better deal in store or over the phone.

      • I know it's the same company… but I won't bother with JBHIFI anymore as they basically refused to negotiate whereas TGG were more than happy to give great pricing.

        • Strange. I used TGGC pricing to drop JB HiFi's price on a Sony 75" X85J from $2695 (sale price) down to $2113 2 weeks ago - they were happy to price match - didn't even refer up the food chain, just the salesman on his handheld device thingey. Probably depends on the store.

Hardly Normal wouldn't budge on the TV - said it was "hundreds of dollars" below their cost - like anyone is going to believe that.

Same at TGG - I almost never actually buy through TGGC and every time so far TGG has been happy to beat the Commercial price (upright freezer last year from $999 to $820, and F&P French door fridge from $2699 to $2320 a month ago).

          • @Andy01: yes JB HiFi will price match but that's about it… whereas in my experience TGG will actually negotiate without the need for a competitor showing a better price.

    • im looking at

BEKO BDF1410W 14 PLACE SETTING FREE STANDING DISHWASHER (WHITE)
      $519.78 + delivery

I can't see anywhere else cheaper? You up for a challenge?

      • You mean, can I help you find it cheaper? Lol

There's a first for everything. Usually the difference is 0. I'm actually surprised.

        Buy, buy, buy.

  • As a Qsuper Member, do i have access to these, as Qsuper is part of Australian Retirement Trust

    • if you can log in you probably can

    • No

  • +3

    Can’t register!

We've had a temporary system issue

It's not you, it's us. Please try again in a couple of minutes.

  • +1

Can payment with gift cards to be used for purchases? For either JB Solutions or GG Commercial?

    • definitely not with TGGC, not sure about JB Solutions, but I would think no.

    • Can't do at JB Solutions, Not sure about TGGGC.

    • GG commercial is a no.

  • can also get TGGC through Union Shopper if a union member

  • At this point, it's becoming exclusive to not have access to these sites

  • +1

I have used GGC for a purchase and noticed that the invoice is made out to the business you have got your access through. I can only assume that this would affect warranty?

Has anyone here had to deal with a warranty claim on a product after going through GGC?

    • +1

claimed warranty on my coffee machine bought through the portal 2 months ago, no issue, just make sure to let you know you bought your item on commercial or else they won't be able to search your name.

  • +8

Apart from some marginal savings on electronics, you might consider the real deal here the super account.

I'm moving over from Aware to ART.

They have single asset options that some of the other industry funds don't, low MERs, and a long-term history of good performance and management by the mergees. They're now the second largest Australian super fund and should have strong growth in a consolidating industry.

  • We were told that it’s about 1-2 weeks to get access to GGC after applying for access

  • Yep no good for QSuper members.

  • +1

Cheers OP. Signed up at 10am and have just received confirmation that TGGC membership has been activated. Many thanks for sharing.

    • That is a super quick turnaround. Enjoy.

  • Just had a glance and it looks to me that gg commercial has better pricing than jb solutions. Doesn't seem that cheap ok the JB one to be honest

  • neat tip on the webmail thing, does it really work for all items?

    • +2

Yep if they stock it at good guys they will be able to give you a commercial price. Never had an issue asking for a price on stuff not listed on TGGC. Something to do with only showing items with enough stock on TGGC.
Also the email team can negotiate better prices than even the TGGC website too. Got a kitchen package saving a ton more even than their own TGGC site. Treat them like a GG staff member. They are great to deal with and super helpful. Pardon the pun.

      • sweet, any tip on negotiating for smaller/single item order tho? will I look like a fool trying to negotiate for say xbox controller when they already offer a good commercial price?

        • +3

No tips really I basically just ask what their best price is. Sometimes asking twice they might lower it slightly the second time if you push a little bit more.

  • Can i join ART without contributing to the super for free to get access to this? Im with unisuper and they've been good so far

    • +1

      Yes

  • Anyone received login for TGG?

    • Did you ever receive yours?

  • cool thanks for sharing…
google pixel 6 on jbhifi for $944.06 (first time i've seen in under $999)

  • Nice

  • Will OW still price match after all that rig-moral ?

  • +1

What’s the usual turn around time from application through Australian Retirement Trust for Good Guys Commercial? It says 4-5 business days and it’s been 6 for me.

    • I'm still waiting, its been 24 hours. Did you receive your invite yet?

  • The one thing that annoys me about The Good Guys Commercial is that almost every item I buy, the website states 'Not available at stores near your location' and I have to pay for delivery… But then when I get the 'Order Processed' email, it almost always says that the items are being sent from my closest store; contradicting the initial stock indicator on the website!

  • +1

anyone recently had luck with this?

update: send a mail to [email protected] for quick activation.

got reply from them in 10 mins with goodguys invitation link.

  • Damn… couldn't login to my Australia Retirement Trust anymore this morning. Wonder if they've deactivated it - gah!

    • Can you still log into TGGC?
Just signed to ART and got approved for TGGC within the day, and put in first order. Happy just with that, but interested how long it will last with no money in Super.

      • I've got access to TGGC through SunSuper… that's been going well for over a year now I think.. even though I have money in there.

ART membership was cancelled because of no activity on my account :) No JB-HiFi isn't too big of a deal… TGGC has been great though with some of the deals you can get through there!

        • +1

Nice, another option if mine gets closed. I wonder if you can just BPay $10 in every quarter or so to keep it "active". Fees are capped at 3% under $6,000, so wouldn't cost much, and can consolidate what's left into main account whenever you want.

        • Edit: I have no money in SunSuper.

  • +1

Does anyone know if ART remove access to JB solutions?

    • It does appear that it has been removed from ART. My quick link now brings up an error page, and it's no longer listed on the rewards page. You can still get JB Hi-Fi gift cards, but you only save 3.5%

      • Nevermind. I just received an email after i post this. I don't know how to add an image, i'm a noob so i'll copy paste.

        "Hi Carol
