    Update - Soundbar all set up and I am loving it. This is a massive improvement on Q900T from last year. The bass on 990B is better than any bars I have heard. Totally worth the money.

      For me, it was availabl next day for pickup. If you have an account, log in and they will confirm if your local store has stock, in case you can pickup. It is a single large box so will fit most cars with rear folding seats. Not sure on delivery time frames.

        When I created my TGGC, they require you to have a business, ABN and everything. If you don't have the business details, is it no go with TGGC?

          Most people here have access via their Super or Union membership. In which case, you dont have to register as a business to get access. Check this thread out

        How do you add links. I tried a few days ago and had it removed.
        But I got these, Atlantic Satellite 77305018 2 Speaker Stands, Black, 2 Stands Per Pack for $112. From Amazon US and they will be arriving tomorrow. I wanted something with a small profile and not rear mounted so speaker didnt just hang.
        Hopefully a good choice.

      These Mounting Dream stands are often recommended on Whirlpool - they're meant to be far more stable than the cheaper options and have good cable management
      They're just under $200AUD delivered if you order from Amazon US (vs $260 AUD on AmazonAU)

      Otherwise cheapest I've seen are a set of Selby stands for $55 delivered or Selby lookalikes on AmazonAU for $40

        I just read the description for the Selby and it says "These speakers are not compatible with Samsung Q950 soundbar satellite speakers" (think they made a typo here and it should be stand). So I assume it won't be suitable for the Q990 either.

                  @88silhouette: Yeah, if you've just signed up to Afterpay, they give you a $600 limit. It goes up as you make purchases and pay back. I've been using Afterpay wherever I can just for deals like these.

                  I believe someone further up bypassed that with eBay gift cards.

          It needs to support ARC at minimum for the soundbar, which I don't think yours does. So the Digital Optical Cable is your best option, by the looks of it

          It should work with HDMI (assuming you have an ARC port) and with CEC you should be able to control the soundbar through the TV. Check port HDMI 4 on the TV for this.

            @N30NF15H: Thank you so much, appreciate your help. The TV is wall mounted but locked to the wall.
            I remember the installer used a drill (at the bottom of the TV) to lock the wall mount so the TV doesn't swivel on the mount.
            I'll need to figure out where this lock is to unlock, and I can get a better view of the back of the TV. Hopefully there is an ARC port there.
            I'm so sorry, what is CEC? Googling this at present - technologically inept :)

            Edit - think CEC is a setting on the TV?

              I'm on the verge of pulling the pin myself for use with a 2016 Samsung TV. CEC allows you to control the volume and power using the TV remote. You turn on the TV, the soundbar turns on, you turn the TV up or down and the soundbar is what changes. ARC is what lets you send audio to the soundbar.

              Edit - https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4562/45… if this looks like your TV then it should have it.

    Not sure if this will help anyone.

    When I got my quote from the TGGC it had delivery cost on it and the store which had stock was very close. I rang the store close to me and asked if I could just come around with the TGGC quote and pick it up but the guy on the phone couldn't find my quote numbers (sales order number Q9010526780 and Docket number U9010632949). So he kindly just raised a new quote for me to match the TGGC of $1,253.

    So in theory and if you're confident, you could reenact my phone call (find a store that has stock), quote the same sales order and docket number which they will fail to find and hopefully they will just give you a brand new quote matching the TGGC price! He actually just asked me what the price was and if I had the balls I could of said a lower price.

    Huh it's gone down to ~$1499 from everyone now. Making wonder if those connections issues are really bad, seeing that it's dropping so fast with barely any stock.

        According to a Redditor, apparently there a quite a few complaints in the Korean community about the left surround speaker losing it's connection.
        They had their wireless transmitter replaced on their unit https://www.reddit.com/r/Soundbars/comments/v8cf04

        It's not really readily available in a lot of English speaking countries so it's hard to gauge how widespread it is.

      Someone posted further up that Mounting Dream stands from Amazon are usually recommended. As to the stands you linked, they can easily handle the weight. The only issue might be that the platform is too large and the speakers won't sit on the little arms.

        I ended up getting a Q930B for $845

        With the best deal for the Q990B currently being $1224, thats a price gap of $379, which makes the Q990B almost 1.5 times more expensive than the Q930B - is the extra 2 channels and better sub really worth paying that much more?

          Worth every cent of it in my opinion :).. Its like buying a car with or without turbo.. really depends what you are looking for. I wanted something better than the Q900T I have and the Q930B certainly did not feel better.. 990B was a lot better :)
